  • She had resisted the mandate for long enough she supposed. It had been a few days already and she was still sleeping in the warrior den. Still clinging to her warriorhood till the last drop if it and although she knew that she wouldn't give up her training and understanding of her fighting and hunting she knew that much of her time would be spent learning about plants and trying to understand the code that the medicine cats went through. A rough sigh left her throat as she opened her eyes, taking in the warmth of the bodies around her in the early morning before she rose to her paws, arching her back in a stretch as she did. Shaking herself she would step lightly over some warrior before twisting herself a bit and beginning to claw up her old nest. It was time. It was time to move out of the warrior den and to make her way into the medicine den officially now she supposed. Although she felt the hesitance in her paws as she went about peeling up the old moss and feathers that had lined her nest. It simply came from the fact that she wondered if she was the right choice for this.

If the sign that Starclan had sent really had been pointing toward her. It could be mere coincidence. Flicking her tail in a mild amount of irritation at her own troubled thoughts she would grab up the bundle of old nesting material and make her way out of the den, careful of the other warriors that had yet to get up. Now she just...needed to make her own nest in the medicine cat den.

  • He missed being in the medicine cat den. Not as a healer of course, (starclan could only imagine what would happen if he was put in that situation) but just whenever he was visiting his brother. He always was closest to Juno. He never understood it much himself but he and the former healer had a sort of silent bond from the moment he'd joined Bloodclan. They'd always been seen near each other, always giving each other tight smiles and muttering to each other judgmental words about their clanmates. Sometimes he'd smile wryly from beneath his bandana at these memories. He did wonder what became of his brother who had just up and left Bloodclan one day. Juno had been the last thing tying him to the clan, maybe when he'd left after his brother he was unconsciously looking for the whip-thin feline.

Frowning at the thought he was drawn from his memories by the movement of black fur on a lithe body, heart nearly leaping in his throat he thought for a split second that it was Juno, usually narrowed eyes widening by a fraction as he whipped his head towards Crowsleep. Eyeing her up as she carried her nest towards the medicine cat den the feline's head cocked to the side. "Moving in?"

  • But we're a million worlds apart....

    Firedawn, Warrior of Shadowclan

Red paws would carry the senior warrior into camp once more as she ended her early morning walk. A large yawn would part her muzzle as she entered her home, and after blinking the slight tiredness from her eyes, Firedawn would see Crowsleep and Z talking quietly. Her gaze would move down towards the wadded up ball of moss in the new medicine cat apprentices mouth and a soft, sad smile would touch her lips as she moved towards them, "Today is the day then? I will miss you in the warriors den, Crowsleep." Her tone as well as her expression was genuine as she lightly touched the fellow she-cats shoulder with her tail.

  • tags — Moving day was always an exciting time. He remembered his first 'move', from the nursery to the apprentice den. That had certainly been a memorable moment, one that he would cherish forever, after moons of looking forward to training with the older kids of the clan in order to become a warrior of ShadowClan. Of course, Stagheart had always wanted to be a warrior - he wasn't crazy about fighting, absolutely not, but he figured he would be far worse at serving ShadowClan if he took the path of becoming a medicine cat. It was certainly an important and honourable job, but not one suited to the skills and traits that he possessed. His services were better suited towards providing ShadowClan with food and keeping them safe from enemies and the like. Then his second 'move', from the apprentice den to the warriors den, sleeping amongst the respected felines of the clan, ones he had always looked up to. That was perhaps the moment he had been the happiest in life.

"I envy you" Stagheart meowed jokingly with a scoff accompanying his words, a solemn smile directed towards Crowsleep. In truth, he would find it weird without her in the warriors den, simply because he was used to her presence. "You won't have to put up with Bumbletail's snoring anymore!"

  • One white paw was raised within the air, ghost tabby marked figure shifting for a moment before she turned to look at the newcomer with her maw still filled with old moss. Slowly she put it upon the ground, her solemn gaze focused on him before she gave a soft nod of her head. Yes, she was going moving in and she found it to be a difficult task to leave one life behind for another. Perhaps it was because she was comfortable with one while the other was something she had never ventured into before. ''Yes, it appears that I am. It'll be something....different.'' She answered with a quiet tone before she then turned her gaze as Firedawn stepped up and she greeted the other molly with a soft flick of her tail. She would miss her in the warrior den. Hmm, she had not expected anyone to actually miss her figure there. Her nest had been in the back of the warrior den, space between her and then and yet she felt...saddened that she would be missed. ''Same, it'll be lonely now but I'll have Oliveslip for company and I'll be in and out of the warrior den I'm sure.'' Warriors always got hurt and she would be tending to them and giving them check ups when she was able to as she learned.

Her eyes shifted to look toward Stagheart then and she allowed a mrrow of humor to slip from her maw. Bumbletail had the most obnoxious snoring and she shook her head a bit. ''Perhaps I can figure something out to get him to breathe a bit better while he sleeps. I'm...miss everyone.'' She sounded slightly deterred from her path, turning her eyes to look at the medicine cat den. But she wasn't really leaving, just going across camp.

  • Weaving her way through the roots of the oak tree that her nest was nestled in, Briarstar stepped into the light of the clearing that was ShadowClan's camp. Her gaze caught the forms of Crowsleep, Firedawn, and Stagheart. It seemed from her slight observation that the dark-furred feline was moving from her place in the warrior's den to the medicine cat den with Oliveslip and Icefeather. Tansyface sometimes slept there as well. The leader turned on her heel, appearing to be searching for something.

As she walked along the edge of the camp clearing, she too reflected on her "moves". Just like Stagheart, her move from the nursery to the apprentice den was exciting. She was finally able to give back to the Clan that had given her so much. There was no mother to miss in the nursery, so the bramble bush that was the apprentice den felt more like home. At twelve moons she moved into the larger bramble bush next door, becoming a warrior. It was one of the most rewarding days of her life - to finally be among the ones that she had trained so hard to be like. Not long after, she was in the nursery. She moved back and forth from there and the warrior's den a total of three times. Her final move to the leader's den was a bittersweet one. Her excitement to be ShadowClan's leader was dampened by the loss of her mentor and friend, Sorrelstar.

Briarstar was pulled from the memories when she spotted what she was looked for - fresh moss. A single paw lifted and pulled at the edge of the fuzzy green plant, pulling it from the ground. After gathering it gently between her teeth, the brown tabby she-cat turned and headed in the direction of the Clanrock, where the medicine cat den was nestled below. Stopping by Crowsleep, she dropped the moss she had been carrying. "Here's some fresh stuff for your nest," she purred softly. "Thank you for serving ShadowClan so well as a warrior. I can't wait to see what you do as our medicine cat apprentice." She was hopeful that Crowsleep would be a good addition as her daughter's apprentice.
