  • DEATH WOULD BE A RELEASE

The event idea had potential, and he would have to keep thanking Levi for putting it forward in the first place, especially if it got him the opportunity to see his son again. He wanted to see Coco rather desperately, just to make sure that his little boy was safe after being held in the Ruins. The orange and black wolf came to stop at the border that separated the Thunderlands from the Volary Flights, and he cast forth a howl to announce his presence there. Now came the waiting game. He needed to speak with their leader about organising this, so he hoped that Freya would come to address them. At the same time he was hoping to see Adonys again. Was the lad doing alright?

    FROM THIS LIFE

  • Nothing was ever as it seemed. Such was a lesson that Felix learned early in life, and yet he feared that he was never as adept at discerning falsities as he tended to hope. He was suspicious by nature — it tended to serve him well. Though he understood the inherent peacefulness that was expected of border interactions, especially when said strangers shared an entire half of the Flights' jungle home. Felix was nonetheless reserved as he approached, blue eyes flickering between the pair of Thunderlanders that stood there. He emerged from the foliage to stand unobstructed by leaves or ferns and observed. The first was an oddly colored wolf, tall and imposing, a figure of an obviously extensive history. The second was merely a child. He wondered why they were there. He wondered enough to ask.

"What can I do for you?" the young lynx-cat wondered, a pensive frown on his face. Something about the authority of the wolf adjacent him made his spine prickle with unease; the same feeling he got around the Empress, more or less. But while his instincts told him to snarl and demand answers, Felix was disciplined enough to resort to niceties rather than aggression. He didn't always get it right. It was the effort that counted, he liked to think.

and all their words for glory, well they always sounded empty

"Deathstroke!" The pup limped forward at a nonetheless impressive speed, his tail wagging and face lit up through the healing inflammation. While the circumstances around meeting the wolf hadn't been the happiest, Adonys still appreciated the kindness he'd showed by taking him to the maze and allowing him to retrace steps he'd shared with Marrok. Deathstroke didn't have to do that- he could have let one of the other Thunderland members do it, and instead he'd escorted Adonys there himself, had even offered to take another look at his black eye, so of course he was happy to see him here. "Is everything okay?"

He sat down across from him, his tail leaving a sweeping, partial crescent moon shape in the dirt. "Who's this?" Adonys didn't think he'd seen her during his embarrassing...situation. He would have remembered. "Oh, and that's Felix. He's not actually as mean as he looks."

  • COLD HEART COVERED IN GOLD ——— IC OPINIONS !

The young girl trails after her father, lilac eyes looking upon the unfamiliar territory with wonder as she takes in the various scents that plague it. She lingers behind him, her attention being drawn to the strangers that now stand in front of them. It was an interesting experience, leaving the clan for the first time since her capture in Sanguine Ruins. It was because of her that her brother decided to join this clan. She had to see him.

The Skychief dipped his head in greeting to Felix when he approached, and he was about to explain himself when Adonys then appeared. There was no hiding how Deathstroke's gaze brightened upon seeing the young lad and he was swift to offer him a broad grin whilst his tail wagged a little.

"Hello again, Adonys! Don't worry, no trouble I assure you. And this is my daughter, Lilith. I was actually hoping to speak with Freya, if she's about. A couple of us over in the Thunderlands have come up with the idea of hosting a little member exchange to help us get to know each other better as both allies and neighbours."

He would go on to explain, hiding the fact that it was mostly for selfish intentions of seeing Coco again without dragging him home. He desperately wanted to see his son, he truly did. But all in all, they did need to be tighter allies anyway. The world was filling up with dark forces once more and now they needed to stand shoulder to shoulder in order to survive. If there was one thing that Deathstroke had failed to do during his long career as a villain and that was the ability to break the Proclan spirit. He had grown to admire it, truthfully.

    FROM THIS LIFE

  • Deathstroke had a daughter? Well, that wasn't really so surprising- he'd seemed like he had experience dealing with children. He wondered if he had to do it all on his own, but that wasn't a question Adonys would ever ask; he actually did have some tact, despite what some impressions of him might be. "Nice to meet you, Lilith!" She hadn't spoken yet, and she stood behind Deathstroke, so maybe she was shy. Still, he figured he'd be polite.

"Oh, I can go find her then!" A member exchange? Did they just switch people over? That sounded nice. Maybe if Freya approved, he could go there. It'd be for selfish reasons, what with the maze, but it wasn't as though it was the kind of selfish that would make him feel better. "Would you be coming here? Uh, actually, forget I asked that until I come back with Freya." The pup got to his paws and limped with intent back into the jungle.
