✸ Even though he was having fun in Riverclan, he missed it backed home. Part of him was still up in the trees stalking birds; he wondered if anyone back in Riverclan would like if he brought home some bird. He shook his head; he could worry about that later. For now, he was gonna visit home! Applecore wondered into Skyclan territory, looking around for anyone who happened to wither smell him or just be out.
there’s one thing I want you to know - open ; riverclanner visiting

"Oh quiet down, I've had enough"
"I guess it's now or never" — Sparkflower
"Applecore...?" she was a bit startled to see the tom here, she hadn't seen him recently and just thouhht thought had been busy, though it had turned out he left instead. She limped into the clearing, remembering the day he had became a warrior was also the day she had became an apprentice and so, she was surprised to see him.

"Applecore...." So far had the tom wandered into Skyclans territory that he felt hope rise in his chest. Could it be that his son was coming home? He would come by Sparkpaws side, a quiet support should she need to rest on his shoulder due to her leg. He felt he had failed both of them but with Applecore standing here, perhaps he shouldn't feel so guilty. "Have you come home?" He asks, unable to keep the tender strand of hope from his voice.

Yewpaw is put off slightly by Sparkpaw and Sedgeroot's blatant dismissal of the fact that this warrior is so far inside SkyClan's territory. Regardless if this is a former SkyClan member or not, that doesn't give them permission to trespass, does it? The apprentice joins the other two, a more annoyed expression than their clanmates' on their face as they ask, "What are you doing past the border, hm?" Even if the other two are willing to let it slide, they're not going to just stay silent and not point out what's going on here.

✸ Applecore smiles as he saw Sparkpaw and Sedgeroot. " Hey, kid! " Applecore said, meeting her in the middle. He looked down to her leg and winced. " What happened here? You okay? " he said in a quiet voice, his gaze moving upwards past her and to Sedgeroot. " Oh, ah... no, but.. I’m visiting! " Applecore went over to Sedgeroot and bumped heads with him. " So, how is everyone— " As Yewpaw spoke, Applecore furrowed his brow. He didn’t recognize this kid; they must’ve started hanging around more after Apple was gone. " I’m just here to see my loved ones, okay? You don’t have to be so uptight, " Applecore laughed, giving Yewpaw a playful poke to the chest.

"A training accident." Sedgeroot comments on Sparkpaws injury. It's better to not tell Applecore he was thinking of how he'd failed him as a mentor only to then fail Sparkpaw moments later with her fall. He bumps heads with a rumbled purr, looking to the annoyed Yewpaw.
He had to agree. If Applecore had been coming home, it would have been fine, but as a visitor now. "Applecore - you are a Riverclanner now. You have to wait at the border before coming to see us. Its like that now." He reminds patiently.

Sparkpaw glanced at Yewpaws and the word she spoke before her attention went back towards Applecore. When he asked about her injuries and was about to say something about it, Sederoot spoke upon and she laughed nervously before slowly nodding as to confirm her mentor's words. "Climbed a rotting tree and...jumped too much on a branch out of excitment cuz I wanted to show Sedgeroot how far I got" she explained to him.

✸ " Ah, " Applecore hummed, patting Sparkpaw on the head. " Well, hey, it just shows your dedication, huh? You’ll be better and up in those trees sooner or later. Let’s hope you’ll be able to tell if the trees rotted next time, yeah? " He laughed. At Sedgeroot’s reminder, his ears flopped down. " Oh. Well... I can wait next time, sorry Sedge. I was just excited to come visit. "

She smiled up at Applecore when said those words and she nodded to him. "I'll be more careful!" she promised him happily before her gaze drifted towards Sedgeroot after all, he did scold Applecore just a few moments ago and she figured it was a good reason but...she was always happy to see the other even if they weren't coming back to Skyclan. To her at least, it was always good to see a familiar face around the place as always!
