Lilypetal had been given the task of setting up a sparring session, which was meant to focus on dog attacks. That was brilliant, and Lilypetal completely understood why she had been given such a task - there had been quite a few dog attacks recently after all, but the issue was that she sort of sucked at fighting. Hopefully nobody would volunteer to spar with her - then she could simply oversee the session and with any luck nobody would pick up on any of her weaknesses.

"Sparring session! Sparring session over heeeere!" The creamy pelted warrior called out, waving her tail back and forth in an attempt to draw more attention to herself.

    "Listen to me..."

  • Honestly, what was with this clan and running into problems every so often? First, it was the twolegs. Next, the period of starvation. The frequent rogue attacks that nearly took Lavenderspine and Brightshine's lives. And oh boy, the ever so deadly chicken invasion. He really was at a loss when there was a dog attack. Dogs were not comparable to chickens. Dogs were much more vicious and deadly than chickens and twolegs. Most twolegs let them be. There was some sort of mutual understanding to mind their own business. If anyone was killed during one of their hunting sessions its was because the twolegs mistook them for something else. He'd never seen a twoleg eat a cat before, so it was safe to say that they were not prey.

Lilypetal called over a sparing session, which he figured why the heck not? He needed to sharpen his skills for the future and sparring would release some tension. Everyone else may have been mourning Duckstar, but he wasn't one of them. They could go on for the rest of their lives crying over that pathetic cat, but he was going to move forward. It was Brightshine's time to rule. Lilypetal would be supportive of that fact, considering the pair were sisters. Would he say he was close to Lilypetal? No, definitely not. That didn't matter when it came to training though, unless she wanted to get all snarky at his presence.

Padding over to her, he flicked his tail in greeting. "I'll spar." There was nothing else to elaborate on. He would just wait for the others to show up.

  • cloudy grey shaded ears perked up at the prospects of a spar. as would any apprentice she was happy to train and increase the experience she could gain from anyone. yet, this was a session called so soon after duckstar had passed. silverpaw wasn't too sure on how clans worked even after all this time, but this was something she would have to take in stride. there was always a time she could ask questions about all that was going on. a little later when it wasn't too raw to ask. her sapphire blue gaze brightened as she approached the two, dipping her head to lilypetal as her own slender tail excitedly twitched above her.

"can i join in too? i'm totally ready to spar someone. well, if he doesn't mind." her innocent gaze momentarily drifted to the tom that had gotten there before her. wilson probably had the advantage, but that shouldn't mean she couldn't try.

The slender she cat beamed at Wilson and Silverpaw. They were the only cats to arrive so far, and so Lilypetal supposed it made sense for them to spar with eachother. She did feel a little sorry for Silverpaw, though. The young she cat would be going up against a fully grown warrior, which would likely put her at a disadvantage. Perhaps Lilypetal, thanks to her sympathetic feelings, would have volunteered to spar with either Wilson or Silverpaw so that the two of them didn't have to go up against eachother, but as Silverpaw looked towards Wilson, she assumed that the apprentice was okay with sparring with Wilson. Lilypetal had to admit, she was relieved - the last thing she wanted to do was spar with someone and reveal what a terrible fighter she was.

"That's great!" the cream point purred, blue eyes shining happily. "Maybe you two could go up against eachother?" she gestured with her tail to Wilson and then to Silverpaw. "I was thinking of focusing on, well, attacking and defending from dogs, considering there has been looooooads of them in WindClan's territory recently. Seriously, I don't know where the rascals are coming from!" she giggled, though deep down, she knew that the situation with the dogs was serious. They had killed Blackberryfoot and blinded Coldkit - she didn't even want to think about what might happen if they came for another round. "Of course, we can't practice on actual dogs - that would be a terrible idea! But we can use our imaginations!" she tapped the side of her head, swishing her tail eagerly. "You two can start whenever you're ready - try to use moves you might use on a dog, even though you're, y'know, both cats," the pretty she cat laughed a little awkwardly. "I'll throw in any critique I have, if I have any." Lilypetal probably wouldn't have anything useful to say, thanks to her mediocre fighting skills.

  • well one thing's for sure. silverpaw was a gutsy gal. she's dealt with a dog before but it was the kind that cuddled up with the no furs and really, they were dumb mutts. but then again, she'd seen the horrible side of them that could take away a cat's life in an instant. she didn't want to see such horrible scenarios ever again. blinking, she stared at the warrior before her. he was certainly much larger than the young slender molly was. she was small in stature and slender, but she could pull her weight no problem. even if she wasn't the fastest, at least she had her quick wit to try and succeed for now. "i'll prove i'll do more than my best. compared to wilson, it'll be like fighting one of those stinky skunkfaced mutts." not that she was actually comparing the warrior that way. she respected all of them truly.
