    thought i would make a new one of these because my previous plotting thread for ulla is pretty out of date! basically, ulla here is the shaderunner (deputy) of shadow veil and she's very loosely based on the swedish fairytale "the green coat." she's very close with spirits and makes frequent use of her Sight to talk to them and does lots of spirit-y related things in general. she's not very put off by monstrous appearances/supernatural occurrences for this reason. in general, ulla's pretty easy to get along with, though she isn't inwardly very trusting at all. she's especially wary of aristocratic figures, which includes anyone who has a title such as being a 'king', 'queen', 'ruler', 'lord', 'lady', 'heir/ess', etc. this is because of her negative experiences back in her hometown of orneborg with the local lord, who was the reason she came to shadow veil to begin with. for a much more detailed explanation of ulla's backstory and personality, though, feel free to check out her tags here! if you have any questions, just let me know!

    - enemies (this would mostly be passive aggressive and they'd have to initiate it, Ulla isn't super confrontational without cause, but she is bitter)

    - enemies specifically related to arrogant/aristocratic figures

    - teaching someone about herbs/gardening

    - bonding with someone from a similar background (could be in terms of magic, arranged marriages, or general discontent with the aristocracy)

    - being captured/capturing someone else (there would have to be a plot for either of these + if ulla's capturing someone, a specific cause. she wouldn't capture anyone without reason and she won't torture them)

    - someone helping her learn more about using her Sight to see into the future rather than to just see spirits

    - guiding spirits into new bodies (there would be a few qualifications for this, as she would need to know they weren't dangerous)

    Hi I'm returning to ext., after a huge break so no Idea about the Ruins and Shadow Veils status but maybe she could teach Carmen about herbs? She would be wary at first due to age + status but is extremely interested in herbs/healing soi might be a cute thread

    Ulla could act as a motherly figure to Lami? A catalyst for it could be him stumbling on to SV territory after this thread, where he had an encounter with a Ruiner who bullied & taunted him. This could get kinda dicey since COE & SV are enemies (with a truce? I don't remember) but being a kid, Lami doesn't really care about politics. He'd definitely latch on to Ulla being nice to him because his adoptive father is usually super busy with his duties, he recently watched someone die with none of the Elysians caring about it, and he's usually ostracized by other children for his gross alien-like appearance. It's also likely that he'd run over to SV a lot more if they made friends, possibly sparking a dual-alliance or him just leaving COE if he feels "no one likes me" there.

    carmen| : so with all the red god stuff i don't think sv and sr are declared as anything in particular right now? tho before that happened, they were allies and then had recently dropped each other to neutrals because of an incident with sr hurting a child from solaris kingdom. ulla was actually captured there recently so they could meet that way, while she's captured? and also she could totally teach carmen about plants n stuff but she actually isn't a healer/doesn't have a ton of knowledge about herbs! i mean she sort of does but it's kinda complicated but basically she wouldn't feel confident enough to teach someone else about healing. but i'm totally up for them bonding, whether it's through her talking about plant stuff or some other way! since carmen's a kiddo she's not going to be bitter about the whole capture thing, especially because she kinda intentionally got herself captured asdfghjk


    LAMIACEAE A. : i think that sounds great!! ulla would totally try to help, especially because she doesn't care a ton about alliances n stuff especially if a clan isn't currently violent towards sv. plus with him being a kiddo she's not going to send him away or anything lol. she definitely wouldn't be put off at all by his appearance or anything bc she's really used to spooky spirits n stuff.

    Alright then I'd love that, though I don't know how much considering Ulla isn't a carnivore so she might ask some intrusive questions. General plants are fine too! Want a thread?

    haha, ulla probably won't be too put off by some intrusive questions, especially because carmen's just a kiddo! and yes, that would be perfect! would you mind making it? I have a couple others i need to make today

    Maybe friends with lil ol Roma here? She's always willing to offer an ear to any burdens Ulla might be feeling as well as just spill some pink sunshine in her life without her permission <3


    maybe the two meet when Roma is sniffing over some crappy cookies she's sad didn't turn out right and Ulla offers to help teach her how to properly make? and in exchange Roma romances the hell out of the lovely deer? >:3

    Romanticmoment. : i'm so sorry for the late reply but i'd totally be up for that! ulla would definitely offer to help her if she seemed upset and would probably be a bit awkward when she tries to flirt with her haha. ulla has only ever really be truly flirted with when someone wants something from her (specifically a man in power from her old town tried to get her to marry him various times because he thought it would improve local relations) so she really won't know how to respond to someone genuinely taking an interest in her lol, especially because her previous boyfriend was essentially a spirit that embodied death so there wasn't a ton of flirting between them.

    would you mind making? i can make if you can't, but it just might be a bit bc i'm catching up on a few other threads rn! ulla will absolutely be v flustered haha

    maybe friends with Clove? she’s also p into gardening and doesn’t have control over her light elemental atm (all she can do is link it to when she activates her healing, and it sometimes manifests when she’s really emotional) so help with that would be good for clove!


    clove was also born a princess so idk how that could be brought up but it could help ulla explore her dislike of aristocracy more, esp if clove is/isn’t what she expects from them?


    only thing is that Clove is a a Cartelian, which I don’t think(?) is a enemy of SV but idk if Ulla has a negative view of the Cartel!

    This guy is going to die really soon & I'm planning on putting him in a new body, so if you're willing then could she guide him to it?

    He's going to be killed in a Ruins raid on Sanc territory, but since there are spirit eaters there his soul is going to instinctually bolt away as fast as it can and end up in other territories like SV's. I was thinking he could briefly lose his memories of being killed and wander around wondering why no one will talk to him when Ulla finds him and guides him to thisferal stag.

    As for not being harmful, all he wants to do at that point is go back to Sanctuary because his last memories were of it being burned to the ground. In the bigger picture, his whole character theme centers around redemption and not being tied to one's birthplace, which is why he feels the desperate need to go back & serve those who have sheltered him.

    He'll probably go back to SV and give her gifts or something later if this happens!

    CLOVE A. : ooo, i would love an interaction with them! ulla doesn't love the cartel bc she doesn't like asimov v much, but also isn't unwilling to interact with members from there or anything! i could totally see ulla helping her with gardening stuff and her light manip!

    Lilias. : ooo i love that plot! i'd totally be down for that! i'd love for them to kinda be friends after that as well <3 ulla's character arc revolves around acceptance so i feel like that'd be a really interesting dynamic.

    ana is going to be joining the veil soon after her series of bad luck lol so maybe these two could slowly become friends? ana will be broken and damaged more then she's ever been, and maybe ulla could teach her how to control her dragon and/or could teach her about herbs?

    ASIMOV : ooo yes that would be v interesting :eyes: ulla holds grudges like... v hard so she would prob not accept like... an apology unless there was actual evidence of changed behavior so just yeah asdfgh


    oceana d.w. : yes i would love that!! ulla's really open to helping out people who've kinda been hurt in the past bc she sees a lot of herself in them tbh so she'd totally be up for that! idk if you had any specific plan related to her joining, but if you wanted to maybe ulla could find her hurt somewhere and then offer to bring her to sv? if you already have smth in mind tho, that's fine too!
