  • It had been a while since Radiant had joined up with others to live together. They had spent a brief time in the plains of Wind Haven, but something about the sea of grass hadn't pierced their wandering heart in quite the right way. It was fine for a while; and then they were gone again.

It turned out a more literal sea was exactly what the lion had been searching for. Radi was solitary for a number of moons, navigating the waterway with only the sealife to converse with. They grew used to the lonely lifestyle; but they laid no claim over the land. And so, when new creatures arrived with talk of a more official settlement, Radiant quietly joined the efforts. As long as they could stay by the sea, they were happy.

The lion padded across the beach with lazy steps, enjoying the salty spray of the ocean as they pieced through the pebbles and shells. They were hoping to find something exceptional, worth decorating the lighthouse with. So far the most exciting piece they'd found was bright oyster shell with a chromatic reflection. Radiant rolled it between their paws. "Too bad it's empty, would've been nice to find a pearl," they murmured to themselves.

  • Radiant had lived here before The Rift had settled and made their lands here. At first, Ridgewhiskey had almost felt guilty-- He was not the biggest fan of the idea of forcing a random stranger who had done no wrong towards them out of their home. Luckily, it seemed that it had worked out in his favor. The lion had seemingly just quietly slid into their ranks, making themselves one of them, and he had no issue with that. Radiant seemed pleasant to be around, and they could always use fresh blood.

The serval walks along the beach on long legs, just barely noticing the big cat from the corner of his eye. Ah. Though he had been out to get some fishing done for the day, as most of the Rifters were, he could see no harm in striking up a conversation. It was an Admiral's duty to get to know his Clanmates... At least, that's what he remembered it being. Archipelagoisland had certainly made a point to be friendly, and so did Felicity of TidalClan.

He shakes the nostalgic thoughts out of his head as he approaches, a sparkle in his emerald eyes. "A pearl? Are you planning on courtship?" He says, amusement in his tone-- Teasing isn't something that comes naturally to him, but he tries as best as he can to not be totally dry anyways. "I kid. Ah... Are you looking for something in particular? Other than a pearl? If you are looking for a pearl, you could check today's oyster catch when it comes in."

  • Radiant hopped slightly in surprise, not having heard Ridge approach; they quickly tried to hide the motion by shaking out their rainbow mane, as if they were just dusting the salt out of their fur.

Unfortunately Ridge's words only furthered Radiant's embarrassment. They wrapped their tail around the front of their paws in a comforting motion. "Ah, no courtship plans!" They let out a nervous laughter. Radiant normally felt some pride in their ability to remain laid back, but romance was the one subject that could always send a blush running down their pelt.

They did their best to recover from Ridge's joke, focusing on his questions and nodding. "I'm really just trying to find some interesting stuff to spice up the lighthouse, like neat shells and whatnot. I guess I was just hoping for some pearls 'cause it feels lucky to find them, y'know?" Radiant offered a shy smile. "I'll definitely join for the oyster haul! Even without the pearls some of them have gorgeous shells."
