  • It was official, Marigoldkit was bored! She had to find something to do. She attempted to look for Loudkit or Candlekit in the nursery but to no avail. She was perched on a small stump by the entrance, playing with the leaves and twigs hanging on the entrance. She sighed dramatically, wanting someone to play with her. Oceanpaw was most likely busy doing stupid medicine cat activities or something. She batted lazily at a stray leave before a patch of dark green caught her eye. It was moss! She quickly scrambled off the tree trunk and clumsily landed. She ripped a ball of it and began to kick it around camp and running after it.

☆•° Owlpaw's days had become monotonous as of recent. Although there were always events, she felt as if she was watching from the sky rather than present in her own body. She felt terribly uncomfortable speaking or even being acknowledged by almost anyone she didn't know, however, so she supposed that her detachment was worth avoiding that misfortunes.

Owlpaw had these thoughts swirling in her head, her trip to drop her hunting catch interrupted by Marigoldkit's mad dash across the camp. The kit's sudden appearance made her stumble and freeze as to not hit her, golden eyes darting to watch the kit run past her. She wanted to shout, to be angry - but the moss ball caught her attention, eking out a quick smirk from the antisocial apprentice. Perhaps this one, she would let slide.

  • sDg2Qs7.gif Sunspots remembered playing moss ball as a kit and a little bit as an apprentice. She didn't look for games to play but they were a nice way to relax. The rolling moss ball caught the attention of the green eyed molly. The scene of an appretice almost tripping by the kit brought a smile to her lips. The camp was still alive, the youth running around. It was nice to see. The former deputy making her way a little closer, "You having fun Marigoldkit?" .

  • In her blind chasing, Marigoldkit had barely even noticed Owlpaw, she caught the apprentice stumbling because of her out of the corner of her eye, stopping for a fast second she turned her head over her shoulder, "sorry Owlpaw!" She panted in a hurry, before resuming her solo game. She was getting tired but the prospect of pretending the moss ball was a mouse or a shrew kept her tiny legs going. She paused again at the sound of Sunspots speaking to her. She turned around to face the warrior, "yeah! You wanna join?" She offered, it would be nice to have someone to play with.

    "Speech."

  • Oh the days of being a kit, the biggest stress in life being who wanted to play moss ball. With the Bloodclan drama rising, she wished she could be a kit again, spending the days with her mother hunting. She missed her mother, but she would always be thankful for the clan that took her in. The leader padded over, limping slightly. Her shoulder was still pained after getting into a fight along the border with a Bloodclanner, but she had never been on to lay around and do nothing...sooner or later her shoulder would heal. "I've got some free time if you'd like an extra set of paws."

"Don't overdo it Flamestar?" Oceanpaw knew she was his leader and former mentor, but he had begun to get quite serious with his training and role as the medicine cat apprentice alongside Molly. That meant he had to grow a bit of a backbone and speak is mind. The way he was when he first came to the clan was completely different from the tom he was in the past couple of moons. But now as he was growing into his adolesence, well, he needed to slowly climb out of the hole and greet the sunny skies above. His life was good. Greeting the older cats, he gave both Flamestar and Sunspots a small nod of his head in respect. They were afterall two of his idols. Looking at the little kit he claimed as his younger sibling, Ocean couldn't help it but be happy and proud of how well she was taking everything. He loved that Thunderclan really looked out for the little misfits they were.

  • At the leaders voice Marigoldkit turned her head quickly, focusing her attention on Flamestar. She absolutely adored their leader, as any kit would. Her smile only spread as Oceanpaw approached, carefully taking the soft ball of moss in her maw as to prevent from squishing it she hurried over to her brother. Dropping the ball at the apprentices paws she lifted her head to look at him as he was a little bit taller than herself. "Play with Flamestar and I Pleease? Just for a little bit, I promise!" She pleaded, putting on her best ''puppy'' eyes in hopes of convincing Oceanpaw.

His gaze softened as he turned his attention to the kit he somehow adopted as his little sister. Just a few weeks ago that whole showdown with her mother replayed in his memory, sad but it had been needed. But now, he honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Marigold and her litter mates had no one but themselves as many in the clan frowned upon their halfblooded selves, even if secretly. ”You know I can’t play with you too much, I just got back from collecting some herbs. I’m a bit tired, but I wanted to make sure you’re okay... did you eat your meal yet? Have you been listening to the NPC queens?”

    "let me live."

  • Marigoldkit sighed as his expected answer. She wish Oceanpaw was a kit so he could play with her more often like Loudkit and Candlekit did. She laughed as Oceanpaw began asking questions. "You sound like a queen Oceanpaw! I'm fine, and of course!" She replied to him, dropping the moss ball at his paws, "only one game, please? I Promise!" She begged.

  • Off to the side in a particularly warm patch of sunlight, Owlkit laid with his wide white paws tucked under him. A light breeze played with his long brown tabby fur and made him twitch his left ear as the breeze irritated the dark tuft of fur on its tip.

He blinked his large amber eyes at his sister who was currently trying to persuade Oceanpaw to play with her. Sometimes he couldn’t help but feel that he and his litter mate were polar opposites. Where she seemed at ease talking to her adoptive clan mates, he feared scorn and judgement every time he opened his mouth. He knew enough of his roots to know some might think he didn’t belong.

Oceanpaw purred and aimed a slender paw down on Marigoldkit's shoulders to rasp at the misplaced furs atop her head. "I'm really sorry Marigoldkit, Owlkit... I really wish I could, but i've had a really long day. I promise I will spend a day playing with you both another time. But, only if you two behave and not give the NPC queens any issues. You both hear me?" With his blue gaze, he nuzzled the both of them before he padded off, dipping his head in farewell to the other older cats that were present.

Honestly, he truly wanted to play and interact, but in the moons that had gone by, his energy was barely enough to get through the work he shared with his fellow medic apprentice. And often, that made for going around the territory on a daily basis to replenish stocks, well, quite difficult.

    "let me live."

  • Owlkit blinked his round amber eyes at Oceanpaw slowly, as if indicating the absolute absurdity of the mere idea that he could cause any trouble.

Giving his splash of white chest fur a quick self-conscious lick, he rose to his paws. He was rather large for his age, and yet his wide paws indicated that he would continue to grow a great deal more. Already he showed promise towards have a powerfully stocky form.

Padding steadily closer towards Marigoldkit and Oceanpaw, he aimed a half-hearted swipe at the moss ball before turning to face Oceanpaw.

“Do you need help with anything?” He asked the medicine cat apprentice. Perhaps if he helped as much as he could, he might earn the acceptance he so desperately wanted.

  • Marigoldkit sighed in disappointment, but she understood. Lately, Oceanpaw has been quite busy. She watched as her brother padded off, when Owlkit came over she watched quietly as he swiped the ball. She ran after it and pounded on it, she was still full of energy. Looking towards Flamestar she cocked her head to the side. “Will you still play?” She asked the leader softly.
