( i'll PM to you in just a little bit! it'll take me a hot sec to write them out. meanwhile,,here's a post for this thread! )

As Lucas adjusted himself in his seat, he pulled his legs up in the seat with him so he sat crisscross. Hearing Dylan's words in response to his question took him by surprise, but only for a moment-- no one had really ever been so forward back when it came to flirting. In response, Lucas flashed a small smile in response before taking a sip or two from his tea.

The brunet looked at the smaller male, giving a small tilt of his head at the question. What was the hell was he even supposed to say about himself? That he was really screwed up from a really young age and that he endured plenty of abuse and trauma from multiple foster homes? Because that...that was a lot to unload on a first date(if this was even considered one). Letting out a small breath and swallowing a bit thickly, Lucas leaned agaisnt the table and mirrored Dylan's position by resting his chin in his hand. "What would you like to know exactly, pretty boy?" he asked nonchalantly, managing to keep his nerves down. He wasn't used to having to talk about himself; besides it was something he despised, something he normally never even got close enough to people to talk about.

  • Dylan sipped the strawberry lemonade as he admired the taller man. He noticed the other seemed a little hesitant to answer the question. Hopefully he didn't hit a nerve or anything. He'd feel really bad if he had upset Lucas in anyway. But the young man responded with a question of his own, making sure to sneak a little nickname at the end. His freckled cheeks grew pink at the nickname, smiling. How cute...

"Anything you feel comfortable telling me, handsome," Dylan replied. There. It gave Lucas options in what to tell and avoid what he was uncomfortable with. The film major took a moment to smooth out his black skirt before returning his bright eyes to the attractive man he was sitting with. "Like... what's your favorite color? Do you like video games? Or maybe you favorite flavor of ramen? The possibilities are endless."

Lucas' internal panic was smothered by the response. glad he didn't have to get deep about himself. Giving a small hum in thought to the potential things he could answer to, he moved to sit back and cross his arms over his chest. "Well, let's see... He began slowly, thinking for a moment longer. "Favorite color would have to either be black or red. And I guess I like video games? I never had a chance growing up to play them but they seem interesting enough, but honestly I'd rather watch someone play them. " He said with a small shrug, pausing to take a sip of his drink, "I don't really care for ramen honestly. I just eat it whenever my roommate buys it. I think he gets the chicken ones and uh...whatever the pink packages are. What about you?"

Lucas watched Dylan for a moment before his gaze flickered away to his phone to check the time. Just an hour and he'd have to leave to get across town for work. Lucas enjoyed his job, it was great to see different kinds of people...yet whether he wanted to admit it or not, he was enjoying himself and liked talking to Dylan. It was a nice change of scenery from his normal group of friends.

  • Dylan listened to his answers, making sure to make a mental note on each of Lucas's answers. You know, for future reasons. He blinked as the questions were flipped on him afterwards. "Oh, well, I really like any pastel colors. They're super pretty to look at. I play videogames, I actually have a Twitch channel I play games on. As for ramen, I only like the chicken kind," the young man explained happily then took a sip from his lemonade. He admired Lucas before reaching over to trace along his arm. "Do you work out? You look really strong.." Dylan inquired before giving Lucas a sweet smile. He was really enjoying this guy's company. Maybe he was too quick to judge him when he first saw him in class on the first day. Lucas was really sweet and extremely kind to him.

  • HCNEYBEE ❞

Lucas offered a small smile, giving a small tilt of his head. "Well, you're right. They're pretty colors to paint with, and the look good on you too, What kind of games do you play, hm?" He hummed in response as he placed his own hand over Dylan's. He gave a nod of his head, placing the information somewhere in the back of his head, knowing himself he'd never remember it-- probably. At the question if he worked out, Lucas couldn't help but laugh and shake his head. "Unless you count walking across town and campus then yeah, I guess I do," he said seemingly amused by the question, "But i guess you could say I am."

  • He felt his heart race at the kind compliment. Lucas really was a charming guy. It was hard not to fall for the taller student. "I play Minecraft a lot but I'm slowly getting into Animal Crossing," he answered, "I like calming and casual games, you know?" Sometimes he would play horror games in the fall for Halloween if he watchers wanted to see him play such games. Dylan laughed quietly at his words and hummed happily. "Well maybe you can show me how strong you are one day," he teased with a wink before sipping his lemonade in an innocent manner.

Now this conversation was more his speed. With a smirk twitching at the corner of his lips, Lucas let a small hum. Drawing circles with his thump on the back of Dylan's hand subconsciously, he leaned against the table to get slightly closer. "I'd absolutely love to show you sometime," He spoke in a low, husky voice before pulling away and clearing his throat. Small talk was definitely not something Lucas was accustomed to, so the comment the other had made was his perfect time to shine.
