  • //I knowww I can't wait for them to actually be together

Dylan took Lucas's phone and quietly typed his number in. He bit his lip when confronted with the option of putting in a contact name. Luke wouldn't mind... right? He bit back a smirk and quietly put 'pretty boy' before adding a bow emoji. He handed the phone back and took his own before looking up to the art student. Dylan felt his face warm up at the nick name. He waved goodbye and took a moment to check the contact name. Awww. That was really cute. The young man sighed wistfully before disappearing into the class. He couldn't wait for four...

-tiny lil skip to a little bit before four-

The young man was just getting back to campus after dropping his belongings off at his apartment. He pulled up outside of the cafe and looked around quietly as he chained his bike up. Okay. He was a bit early but that was fine. He decided to text the group chat about where he was and who he was going to be with just in case something went wrong. You could never be too safe, okay? Especially when you're only 5'6 and just have pepperspray and keys to defend yourself.

But Dylan sat down on the bench near the bike rack and patiently waited for Lucas to arrive for their little 'study' session. Thos all felt like a dream to Dylan. It was just... so perfect. Maybe this guy was actually interested in him. A tiny voice in the back of his mind told him that this all seemed a bit too perfect but Dylan was quick to brush it away. No. This guy was different, definitely.

  • (me tooo!!)

Finishing class a little bit before three, heading right back to his dorm to drop off some books off and pick up an apron and an extra pair of clothes just in case something happened at work. Shoving everything into his bag along with a sketch book and pencils– and of course his class of stuff for the study 'date'– before he was out of the dorm. Lucas made his way across campus towards the café.

With his bag slung of his shoulder and hands in his pockets as he walked, soon the café and then Dylan came into view. Not being able to help a grin pulling at the corners of his mouth, he fastened his pace to get to the other quicker. "Hey, pretty boy," he called out.

  • The young man looked up as he heard Lucas's voice, soon spotting him and standing up. He fixed his skirt and smiled to his new friend. Goodness, he was already excited. Even though its only been barely a day, he really liked hanging out with Lucas. He seemed super nice and he was super pretty. "Hey, there, Mr. Cool-and-edgy-artist," he teased. He walked into the cafe, opening the door and letting his friend in first before trailing after him. "Ooh, I know the perfect spot to study in here. I go sit there all the time," the student informed with a bright smile as he guided his friend through the cafe.

He brought him to a little quiet spot in the corner. It was one of the few booth seats there. Dylan slid in and looked to Lucas with a smile. "So what can I help you study? I'm pretty good at this class and I can help you out as much as you need," he explained in a sweet tone. His big eyes wandered along Lucas's body for a brief moment before blinking away. Okay, chill out, Dylan. You don't need to check out every hot guy you interact with.

  • (gonna mayhaps make lucas a pintrest board bc i think its a cute idea tbh)

Lucas offered a small smile as he approached Dylan. Adjusting his hands on his bag straps, he stopped a foot or two, offering a hand out to help the other jump for the bench. After he stood, Lucas trailed after the other before sauntering inside. Casting a gaze at Dylan, he raised a brow in question. "Lead the way then, pretty" He hummed, watching him before following behind.

Lucas slid into the opposite side of the booth, pulling his legs up in his seat to sit crisscross. Shimmying his bag off his back, he set it next to him before unzipping it and pulling out his notebook. Making a soft humming noise, Lucas flipped through the pages before stopping on the notes he'd taken today. "I guess today's kinda confused me? I had a bit of trouble understanding. " He said as he turned the notebook to face Dylan.

  • //go for it!! I had to change my account because someone got into my previous account and jacked it up so I can't access it anymore so I'll put Dylan's new board up soon in his form

The young man watched him work his bag off then pull out his notebook, listening to him voice his concern about not really understanding today's notes and lesson. He took the notebook and read through what Lucas had written down. He hummed a little before reaching for a pencil. The young man wrote down the missing formula for his friend before handing him the notebook. Dylan pointed to where he just wrote with a sweet smile on his lips. "You were just missing the formula right here. It was hard to find in the text and the prof didn't spend as much time on it as he should've. It should be a bit easier now," the feminine young man explained.

"Do you have any other classes you need help with? I can certainly help you out to the best of my knowledge with anything you need," Dylan offered as he studied the boy across from him. He liked helping others out, especially when they happened to be as attractive as Lucas over here.

  • ( aw that sucks :^(( but in the meantime i made lucas' here and another character of mine and mayhaps be working on a bunch of others)

Giving a small nod and a quiet "oh" as Dylan wrote the missing formula. "This really isn't my strong suit, art and English are probably where you're gonna see me excel pretty well. " he admitted sheepishly as he grabbed a pen out of the side of his bag. Flipping to the next page sat a small doodle of what appeared to be a very realistic looking cat, well at least any prying eyes could see before he flipped to a clean page. Despite being cocky and proud of his work, Lucas was actually iffy on who saw it and who didn't. Clearing his throat uncomfortably, the brunet gave a shake of his head as he wrote down a random problem. "No, I think that was just it. But I think we could work on some problems just to make sure we have everything down?" Lucas suggested with a small smile.

In all honesty, all this trying to seem like he was a decent person so he could get close to Dylan was quite tiring and so uncomfortable. Maybe it was the underlying trauma speaking, the anxiety, or trust issues speaking. Or maybe he was just that shitty of a person, but regardless it was unsettling.

  • //I'll be sure to check it out ^^ its really addicting to work on. I have to move all my previous characters from my former page to my new page

Dylan nodded as he listened to him speak about how he wasn't too confident in his own skills in this class. "That's okay, we all gotta start from somewhere," he assured and watched him flip the page. He was surprised to see, briefly, a lovely picture he drew. But he noticed he flipped it away rather quickly. Maybe he was self conscious about showing his art to people? He watched him scribble out a random problem to solve and nodded at his words.

The young man got up and settled by his friend. "Here, I'll sit here. It's easier to help you that way," Dylan explained softly with a smile, looking up to him. Hopefully Lucas didn't mind. He looked back to the problem at hand and reached over Luke, getting an extra pen just in case he needed to help Lucas. Dylan sat back down by the taller man and gave an innocent smile.

  • ( it really is! i keep adding stuff to boards because they seem to fit a character so well lol )

Lucas gave a small smile as Dylan came around to sit next to him. Letting out a small laugh he moved his hand to write out the problem he created. "Well thanks." He hummed as he paused for a moment to think before jotting the rest of the problem. Lucas sat back, signaling he was finished working before pulling out his phone to check the time. "Pretty sure it's right. " Lucas spoke, setting his phone down while looking over at Dylan as he casually set a hand on the other's knee.

  • //yeah ^^

Dylan watched him work, chewing his lower lip as he did so. Once his friend was done, he pulled the notebook over to check the problem for any sort of errors. He was too invested in checking Lucas's work that he gasped a little as he felt a hand on his knee. The young man quickly looked up to the other student, blushing deeply before ofreering a shy smile. Well... he didn't really mind it. Luke's have there felt awfully nice and he just wanted to cuddle up to him at this point. Dylan shifted a bit closer to his study buddy to show he was comfortable with being touched. He went back to checking his work.

"I think you did really good and you're getting the hang of it," the young man spoke up and sat the notebook down on the table. Dylan looked up to Lucas and admired his features for a few moments before shyly smiling at him and looking away. Maybe the taller student was interested in him. Ugh. It made his heart just flutter. Maybe this guy was different than the rest and this wasn't some dumb joke to just mess with him. Hopefully it wasn't, Dylan was really interested in this guy and he wanted to start some sort of relationship with him.

  • Lucas gave a smile at the words Dylan spoke. Noticing the gasp and blush, he couldn't help the small smirk that tugged at his lips, yet he still managed to play the action off as if he didn't do anything. He leaned against Dylan for a moment before taking his notebook. "Hopefully so. If I fail any classes I lose my scholarship, so this is pretty helpful. " He muttered as he wrote and solved a few more problems.

After a little while of solving some problems, Lucas set his pen down and settled back against the booth seat. "Do you want anything to drink? I'd like to sit and chat for a bit before I have to head off to work. " He hummed with a small tilt of his head.

  • //I'm so down to add that into the plot ^^

Dylan watched him work quietly before allowing him to get his notebook, biting his lower lip as he felt him lean against him. Goodness gracious. This was making Dylan catch feelings awfully fast. He watched him in awe field a few moments before realizing Lucas was speaking to him. He blushed and looked away, fixing his skirt. "Yeah, I completely understand. But as long as your my friend, I won't let that happen," he promised happily. He'd love to help Lucas as much as he can so he didn't lose his scholarship.

He allowed Lucas to work, leaning against the young man to check his with every once in awhile. Dylan sat back and looked at the other befire smiling at the offer. "I might get strawberry lemonade but I can pay for it," Dylan explained as he git out of the booth and stood up, adjusting his outfit briefly before looking to the taller student.

  • ahh im so sorry i lost the thread then got distracted by a discord server that was suuuper insane for a couple days ^^ it's slowly not being as hectic any more(hopefully). I'm so sorry if it seems like i'm not interested anymore. I definitely am! ))

Lucas gave a small smile, dark eyes following Dylan as he stood up. He stood himself, reaching over into his bag to fish out his before he stood back up straight. "It's okay, I can get it. You just sit there and look pretty. " He hummed, reaching out a hand to ruffle Dylan's hair. "Is that all I can get you, love?" He added as he opened his wallet to pull out his card. Okay, so maybe Lucas was a slight player and really knew how to get to peoples hearts and he was an absolute asshole normally, but he was a considerate asshole. If Dylan showed any signs of discomfort, he'd stop in a heartbeat.

  • //hey it's completely fine ^^

Dylan looked up to Lucas and blushed faintly at his words. He ducked his head a little as the other student ruffled his hair, a shy giggle escaping him. Aww. Lucas was really cute. "Okay, if you insist," he chirped and did as he was told and sitting down once more. Dylan smiled at the little nickname. Love? Huh. That sounded really nice... "Yeah, that's all, handsome," the young man confirmed. He watched Lucas leave and as soon as he was out of sight, Dylan had the biggest smile on his face. He tried to contain his excitement, though. Was this even real? Goodness. It seemed like Lucas was actually interested in him.

Dylan glanced to the other man's notebook and bit back a little smile. He picked up his pen and quietly drew a few hearts by the problems that Lucas had practiced with. Just a little something when the artist went to study for the quiz. He sat the pen aside and sat up, looking around as he waited for his handsome friend. He slowly swayed his legs as he waited for Lucas to return.

  • A grin tugged at the corners of Lucas' lips and he let out a small hum. "I do insist. " He teased, poking at Dylan's nose before turning on his heel to head to the front counter. Stopping at the counter, he ordered the other's strawberry lemonade and himself a simple iced green tea before he paid for them. Surprisingly with his dark and broody-like behavior, Lucas wasn't a coffee drinker at all; he simply despised it's bitter taste and something about it brought back some shitty memories.

Lucas chatted up the barista as she made the drinks, subtly flirting with her before he received the drinks. Turning back around, he made his way back to the booth. Lucas set the cups down and slid into the opposite side of the booth, dark gaze taking in the boy in front. "Whatcha doin' there?" he asked with a small tilt of his head.

  • Dylan quietly looked out the window, watching the campus as he swayed his legs. He heard Lucas return and looked over to him when he sat the drinks down. "Thank you," he smiled but heard his question of what he was doing. "Oh nothing, I was just waiting for Prince Charming but looks like he's here," he teased affectionately before taking a sip from his strawberry lemonade.

"So... tell me about yourself, handsome," he murmured, propping his chin up with his hand as he admired Lucas. The student ended up really liking this guy, like, a lot. He knew this could end poorly on his part and that he was being too hopeful but he couldn't help it. This was the first time in awhile that he was genuinely interested in a guy. It made him feel excited and like there were butterflies in his stomach. Hopefully Lucas was feeling the same way...

  • Hey! I'm so sorry for disappearing for awhile! i didn't have the muse/energy to conjure up posts + i only had the muse for character creations and i kinda have been trying to get back into my old routine a little before this covid stuff started! i would really love to still rp with you, but it doesn't have to be this exact thread! heck, we could come up with a new plot/thread if you wanted

  • we could do both if you want! i have some plot ideas in mind that im needing to write out and kinda really wanting to do. but if you wanna stick with 1 thread, that's totally fine!
