Blue eyes flashed onto a black figure which shared such resemblance to his own figure. Slowly he dragged his stiff body to be near Maddog’s and he bumped his shoulder into his sibling’s. A smile laid on his lips as he looked at Maddog, then down at their legs perfectly fine but then he stabbed the jealously trying to creep into his head with the reminder that Maddog had their own leg they had to deal with.

    MADDOG sorry it’s short

  • Maddog had never considered themselves close with their brother, a fleeting jealously on both their ends kept a near unbreakable wall between the two. The two had always inhabited different social groups in the clans, Raccoonhobble's open personality making it easier for him to make friends regardless of his obvious disability. Maddog had made it harder on themselves, closed off and unapproachable wasn't always what people sought when looking for a friendship. Two sides of the same coin, two paths within the same genetic hardships—day and night. It was often difficult for outsiders to realize the two warriors were related... let alone littermaters, a fact that Maddog believed even many of the other WindClanners did not believe.

The warrior kept themselves so secluded, so isolated, that even their relationships with their family were fleeting. The tender affections of their brother, the soft whispers of their now dead sister, and the niece who seemed so lost in a world that felt almost as unwelcoming as her aunt's gaze. There was growth, of course, if there hadn't then Maddog would not be here. They would not be laying aside a brother they hardly knew in the thicket of the warrior's den, wouldn't be lifting bleary eyes to meet a matching blue stare. There were still jagged edges, of course, as their newfound push into the community wasn't something that would change moons of self-neglect all at once—the budding glare they sent Raccoonhobble's direction was enough proof of that. Grumbling slightly, they shifted themselves into a more opened laying position and turned their head completely to the other. A flickering of their ears, a lash of their tail, and a sigh spilled from their mouth. Something was obviously bothering the other, and by the longing look he seemed to send towards their legs then they knew exactly what it was. A sound rumbled out, a mixture of a purr and a growl, an indication that they wanted their brother's eyes on them—that they wanted the other to simply talk, because they weren't going to be able to ask.

/ No worries! I'm sorry this is a little late, I only ever seem to get muse late at night. :0

We should probably become at least friends now that we are Batpaw’s only kin. That I know of at least.” The last thing he said made a ping of disgust fill his body, what family didn’t know the stat of their other kin. Bad ones that’s what.We should change the way we live.” The statement was awfully big considering his own distaste for the idea. All of the words had been spoken without looking his sibling in the eyes and he finally lifted his icey eyes to meet Maddog’s. “You know all our lives I have never decided if I should be jealous of you or not.” The words just kept slipping from his lips not that he wanted them to but the fact they weren’t being outright aggressive to each other it felt like the right time.
