  • VIXENS STORM

Francis puts his arm over his face to shield from the light as everyone headed out. He perks up some when his wife sat on the bed beside him, her news making him smile. He sits up and moves over to her "You nervous?" he asks softly. "And I will be near the next few days, I promise" nuzzling her face

  • Mary nestled into his embrace. "Nervous, yes," she admitted softly. "Childbirth is painful, Francis, no matter if it is smooth and easy or rough and hard. But, knowing that I will hold a child in my arms afterwards, my child, makes it all worth it." She shifted her head, looking up at Francis. She was smiling. "And I won't be going far or doing much of anything. He doesn't even want me going outside anymore. He says it's too dangerous if I go to labor while I am outside."

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis nods, he did not understand the deep painful process of child birth but he knew that the end result was beautiful. He kisses her head "Won't be going outside for a bit honestly" he admits. "Sorry that was kinda mean" chuckling "listen I will be there through the whole thing, no one is taking me from your side once you go into Labor. My Queen and child are most important to me"

  • Mary moved her head up under his chin, halfway closing her eyes with a sigh. Francis had been somewhat more controlling than normal, but she could not blame him. She had gone along with it the best she could. They had argued a few times, but they had been minor compared to their first argument. She hummed softly at his comment. "I know," she whispered. "I know you're going to be there for us, Francis." She smiled with a small huff. "As for going outside, I am not even going to be able to get out of bed. I don't think you're going to have to worry about me sneaking off," she teased him.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis laughs "I know love just saying we'll have our hands full with the new little dove" he explains. "Geez you'll have to force me away" he teases. He moves back from her a little "My love, may we sleep or nap or something, I am sure we both are tired" he sighs softly

  • Mary looked at Francis and nodded. She had been sleeping a lot more anyway here lately, and a nap right now honestly sounded wonderful. She got up and moved to the other side of the bed. She laid down with a sigh. The child put a lot of weight on her, and it wore her out

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis scoots up to the pillow and nuzzles into the soft fabric. He sighs happily "Night night" he mumbles closing his eyes once more, the man passes out. He had been overworking himself to keep busy but also get as much done so he could be around their baby more.

  • Mary fell asleep within minutes of Francis.

Mary woke with a small cry as pain shot through her body. She clenched her stomach, gritting her teeth in pain as tears raced down her cheeks. She did not understand what was going on, but it hurt worse than anything she had felt before.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis was only able to sleep for a few short hours. He let Mary continue while he ate some late dinner. He looks up when hearing her cry out from her sleep, seeing she was awake and in pain. He hurries over, kneeling by the bed "hey darling, whats wrong?" touching her arm gently.

  • Mary looked over at Francis, the agony clear upon her face. "I don't know,"she whimpered softly. She was trembling and her skin was pale. "G-get the healer." She said. She flinched as another wave of pain overcame her. She whimpered in response to it.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis felt his body burst in adrenaline hearing her voice crack under the pain. He bites his lip and scrambles up running for the healer, she's had cramps and pains before but not like this to where she was crying. He ran and ran, waking the healer and dragging the man back to the Queen. "Hey, I'm back" assuring her as he takes her hand and the healer looks her over.

  • Mary looked at Francis. Her face was pale, and tears were streaming down her face. The healer set to work immediately. He glanced back at Francis. "She's gone into labor. I think she's been in labor for a while now; she's just managed to sleep through the beginning stages. Go get the queen's mother. I cannot do this alone, and she will know what to do better than anyone." He sounded far calmer than anyone else would have. Mary could not bring herself to speak. She was laying there, trembling.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis looks to the healer and bows his head “okay...okay” holding her hand. “Darling Ill be right back” kissing her head as he got up. He rushes out of the room hurrying to the guest chambers. Not knocking out anything he ran in “Fiona!!” Calling out “that baby is coming!”

  • Despite the late hour, Fiona was still up. She was standing in front of one of the mirrors. She looked over at Francis as he barged into the room. She put a finger to her lips. The twins were asleep. She began tying up her hair as she walked over to him. She gave him a swift nod before following him to their chambers. Mary was crying softly. The pain was growing worse. Fiona went directly to the healer, and the two began working together.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis covers his mouth and leads her back to Mary. He was quick to return to her side, taking her hand and kissing it “Im back sweetie” telling her softly. He hated seeing her in so much pain, he wanted this to be quick but knew it was not going to be. Either way he was not leaving herself unless she needed something.

  • It was early dawn by the time the baby came. Fiona held up the crying infant, joy shining upon her face. "A boy. A healthy, strong, baby boy," she told Francis and Mary. Mary chuckled softly with joy and relief. She was exhausted, and sweat clung to her pale face. However, the healer had told them both she would be fine. It was an easy birth compared to most. He stood up, cleaning off his hands. "Bed rest for at least a week," he told Mary. She looked at him and nodded. "I will check on you again then and make a decision if you need more time or not." He then smiled. Fiona by now had gotten the baby cleaned off and partially wrapped in a clean blanket. She handed the crying bundle to Mary. The new mother cradled the child close to her chest. Francis had never seen such joy upon her face. "Welcome to the world, little one," she breathed softly. The child gazed up at her with bright eyes.

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis had ti draw ul his chair to be able to hold her hand and support her until he heard the crying. He smiles listening to their child, wiping her face with a damp cloth as the healer explained she was fine. He stood hearing it was a boy, a prince. That made his heart soar with much relief. He sits back down as their son was given to Mary “oh he is beautiful” he whispers kissing Marys head. “I love you so much...both of you” smiling to his son.

  • Mary chuckled softly. The baby glanced between the two of them, clearly trying to make sense of the new sights and sounds around him. Fiona smiled at the sight of the three of them. "If you need anything, just call," she told Francis softly before leaving the new family in peace. Mary gently kissed the baby's forehead, causing him to squirm some. She could not stop herself from laughing gently at the child's response. "Aren't you just something."

  • VIXENS STORM

Francis nod shis head not looking away from his baby boy, smiling to receiving his first kiss from mom "So...his name?" he questions softly. His eyes completely lit up while watching the babe in Mary's arms, now he had someone new to protect and show the world too.

  • Mary rested her head lightly against Francis's shoulder. She was exhausted, and it would not be long before that exhaustion dragged her into sleep. She was already feeling its effects. "I don't know," she admitted softly. "We never really got the chance to discuss baby names besides Hope for a girl. Although, the custom is to name the child after a previous king. We could name him after your father if you wanted." It was surprising Mary knew that. While it was true, few peasants ever noticed it or even realized it.
