it's always the heroes. they're always the ones that get the praise, the attention, the glory. sure, they save a few people now and again, but all they are are self-centered egoists who just want to have normal people inflate their egos even more. it's absolutely sickening.

for centuries, it's always been the three classes: heroes, villains, and civilians. no grey space, no in-betweens. the three threaded boxes you're shoved into thanks to society, sometimes even against your will. your relationships and your reputation is dictated by a title that is nothing more than a word on a piece of paper or a thought in your head. some heroes are openly abusing their powers and could easily be one of the most feared villains, but because of those "holy" titles, they get a free pass that could cost anyone else their life. and on the other end of the spectrum, you have some villains that only aim to achieve a more peaceful world, whether that be without heroes, government, or a tyrannical wealth class divide that ruins the lives of the lower class citizens. they want the best for the world, but their way of achieving it is different than the heroes. if only they knew that you could get the same solution from different approaches. instead of understanding, those exiled to the villainous side change from the young hopefuls to soulless shells of who they once were, hardened by society's reaction to them and how they've been pushed aside with no second chances.

admittedly, not every villain is a hero in a dark mask. there's some pretty twisted people out there who absolutely despise heroes, civilians, and even other villains. they just want to watch the world burn, regardless of who they have to take down to do so. they're the ones you think about when you hear the word "villain", they're the ones that should rightfully take the villainous title.

this is the story of a small villainous group brought together by their mutual hatred for heroes and their desire for a better world, and getting rid of said heroes is the only way to achieve that. some are young ones who had such high hopes for a better future, others were trainees with a promising hero career ahead of them, but life took its course and drove them off of that path. some are diabolical masterminds with revenge on the brain, and there's even a sly hero who likes to play for both sides, proving how there's not just a destined good side and bad side. it seems like fate brings these misfits together, either to build their success story or a story about their depressing downfall.

the most popular stories only focus on the heroes, this isn't one of those stories. welcome to the bad side.

    characters:

the leader | unavailable | caprisun.

the leader is, as you would have guessed, the leader of the group. they're the ones that keep the group focused on the tasks at hand and they're the ones that make the big calls. they've built up a respectable and dependable reputation for the rest of the group, yet they're the most wanted in the eyes of the public. stubborn and sly, they know exactly what they want and will not stop until they get it, even if it means using the others for their gain. however, the rest of the group still looks up to the leader and will follow them through anything. they hold the best relationship with the spy, using their intel to plan the group's plans. romance-wise, the leader always says they have no time or interest for relationships, yet they're always caught getting really close with the wildcard.

the devil | unavailable | Visc

an absolute terror to the public, the devil would easily be considered hades' child with how reckless and chaotic they are. they have no remorse for anything that doesn't belong or benefit them, and they actually enjoy the thrill that comes with using their ability to wreak havoc on those who have hurt them or have wronged them. they often have to be talked down from their destructive highs, which is where the exiled comes in. the devil is the most hard headed, apart from the leader, but they're also the easiest to persuade if you're the right person, which is exclusively the leader and the exiled. the exiled and the devil are very close friends, many would even speculate they are romantic interests, but nothing is confirmed.

the young gun | unavailable | saints

the newest and youngest face in the team, the young gun is a reminder of what some of the older group mates used to be: full of life, excitement, and hope. they don't necessarily understand how things work quite yet, but they're absolutely open to learn. their enthusiasm ultimately does get the better of them sometimes, but they never do anything unless someone makes the first move. on the brighter side, their enthusiasm brings life to the group, preventing the others from going completely insane and destroying everything and anyone. the alluring has taken the unofficial role in teaching the young gun the ropes and keeping them out of trouble with the leader, but the young gun has a positive relationship with everyone, using their optimism and insight to keep team morale high.

    the spy | unavailable | Casandra-Brando

a proclaimed hero with a side job of a secret villain, the spy loves to secretly live the best of both worlds. the public doesn't know about the spy's villainous facades, but the public also never sees them on the front lines whenever this group is involved. on a good note, nobody seems to bat an eye or think it's a coincidence... thanks hero privilege! while you would expect the others to have a shaky relationship with the spy due to their hero name, the spy has since made it known to them that they would do nothing to expose this secret or betray them, leading everyone to think of the spy as a second-in-command to the leader. the spy often bumps heads with the devil, seeing as their carelessness could be their downfall, but the leader often patches things up between the two.

the alluring | unavailable | peachy.

ah yes, there's always one in every group. they're the ones that use their looks to get what they want. sneaky and deceiving, they use their power and ability as the ultimate duo to distract unsuspecting victims or lead them to tell much more than they should. they can appear to be anything from sweet and innocent to a devilish party animal, talk about duality. but while they appear to be nothing but devilish looks and deception, they're actually pretty thoughtful. like the exiled, they're one that looks after everyone in the group, making sure everyone is alright and nothing's going too wrong, which is how they ended up taking the young gun under their wing. hookups are the alluring's middle name and they typically never mean much, however they do tend to get comfy and cosy with the spy every night. it's all a part of the job, right?

the exiled | unavailable | maycie.

the exiled is a child of one of society's top heroes, which instantly made them destined for greatness. and they believed this path, up until an accident out of the exiled's control lead to them being in the wrong place at the wrong time. due to this, they were essentially disowned from their family and their ranks, being taken in by the spy and eventually by the rest of the group. full of regret and revenge, the exiled fights a daily mental battle, deciding if this is the right place for them. but at the end of the day, they know this is where they belong. comparatively softer spoken than the others, the exiled doesn't really have much to say about a lot of things, but whenever they do speak, it's incredibly meaningful and important. during the time they've been with this rag-tag group, they found themselves looking after the others like the alluring, but they seem to be a bit favored towards the devil. you could even say the exiled has developed a romantic interest for the devil, but the exiled fears it may possibly be one-sided.

the wildcard | unavailable | caesium

being in the group for a while, you would expect everyone else to know a lot about this character. however, there's really not a lot known about them. they do share a lot with the group, but they're often very secretive and tends to do things on their own, leaving their actions completely unknown to the rest of the group. their independence leaves the leader to believe that they're going to try to overrule them, but things often calm down when the wildcard ultimately does things that makes life much easier for the leader and the rest of the group. admittedly, they have the best relationship with the young gun, and you could easily say the youngster is what keeps the wildcard in the group. however, the wildcard does have a total soft spot for everyone, even though they won't admit it.

the devoted | unavailable | Arthur Morgan

you could say they're crazily devoted to this group and their cause, but that isn't necessarily the case. they're only completely invested because they have a long, deep-rooted vendetta against the exiled's family, which only worsened when they learned about what happened to the exiled. they're extremely protective of everyone listed above and if you even try to come after them, you're going to have to get through the devoted first. they have no tolerance for anyone outside of this initial clique and they initially were very skeptical of the young gun and the spy, however the devoted has gotten over that and is now under good terms with both of them. because they're so invested in the success of the group, the devoted claims they don't have time for romance, however they're not completely opposed to the idea with anyone.

    rules:

i'm trusting you all to read these, so please do!

i'd like you to post at least 2 paragraphs per post, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. low muse is okay, but please don't just post a couple sentences, it's really hard to reply to! i'm obviously not too upset over improper capitalization, but please be aware of proper spelling and grammar!

please try not to be too overpowering or give your character more power than the rest. everyone has limitations and weaknesses. i understand there are some characters who are initially stronger than others based off of the guidelines i've created, but please don't use those guidelines to force other characters to do things for your character or do anything to them without the other person getting a chance to defend themselves or have a say.

in other words, please be considerate of other characters and users!

i tried to give you as much creative freedom with the characters as possible while also creating a little guideline. feel free to make your character as unique as possible!

speaking of characters, i prefer the use of human face-claims for this thread, i'm sorry!

also speaking of characters, i will only reserve spots for 24 hours. if you're very interested in this thread but you aren't able to post a form within 24 hours, please let me know! i get some things off of this site are way more important, i don't want to keep you away from that.

i'm all for talking out of character, i encourage it, but please keep drama and arguing to private messages. if you're having issues with other users, please let me know and i'll try my best to help!

since the amount of characters is limited, i'd like to keep each user at 1 character. however, if there is not enough users to fill spots, i'll be willing to let some have 2 characters if they'd like.

please include trigger warnings for sensitive or intense subjects! i thank you in advance!

    all feralfront rules apply!

  • the colors hurt m head but imma read and i wanna play!

    reserve devil?

  • o.o omg hi everyone o.o

thank you all for the tracks, and i'll definitely reserve those spots for you all! a (really rough) form has been added, so you can all work on forms!

also yes i definitely agree the colors were hard to read (but yet again i have a concussion so everything's hard to read oops), but i just needed a way to differentiate all the characters in the descriptions, but i think it should be a bit better??

  • reserve the devoted? since that seems to be the only one open that i can tell?

  • Casandra-Brando  i'm not too good with the default version, mainly after the fancypost system changed a while back. so i've been using the html system since it's easier to work with when i know what i'm envisioning. it seems like you did it correctly, but you just forgot to press the html button (it should be the farthest left button on the top row, next to bold/italics and undo/redo). i went ahead and tired my best to help you out, like getting the colors and the image to work!

so, if you just copy that and paste it into your post (but make sure you hit the html button first!), it should look like this:

The post was edited 1 time, last by peachy. ().

  • Thank you peachy. ! I don't know if something messed up because I'm on mobile right now, but it's working now, thank you!

  • The post was edited 6 times, last by saints ().

  • @/peachy, quick question/possibility thing because i dont want to make his history too bizarre/or change the idea of the world you created:

so chance is an orphan but was sent from his foster home to a government run “hero” academy once they found out his powers. but he hates it there and yeets out and is on the run.

lmk if you want me to change this!

    also another proposal:

since dev has taken chance under her wing, are you okay for her to be the first of the group to meet him?

(possible backstory, chance was shoplifting bc he has literally $2 to his name after running away and dev catches him?)

  • oh no, that's okay! i also somehow completely skipped adding a history section even though that's pretty important (i'm blaming it on this concussion,, broken brain don't work sometimes oof)

i'm also fine with chance meeting devyn first! she's definitely the type to try to keep anyone out of unnecessary trouble (hence the reason she's looking after him in the first place, just so he doesn't say or do anything that'll get him knocked around by the others astshsg), so she'd definitely try to help him in one way or another!

speaking of which, since you all are getting your forms posted, should i go ahead and make a plotting thread now? or would it just be easier to use this as a plotting thread?

solar or moonbyul is the hardest choice anyone can make i swEAR, or maybe just me oops
