    The ad read as such:


    Young witch seeking covenmates and roommates. Any magic users welcome. Recently came into a home of my own (don't ask) that has many openings for rooms and is only *mildly* haunted. Respond below for details!!!



    It seemed crazy, to think there was another witch like you out there, simply offering up residence. Too good to be true. But life as a witch, a true magic user--one who can manipulate the world around them--isn't exactly easy. Mundane people are often frightened by that which they don't understand. And certainly, they cast out the supernatural.


    Witches, in the modern world, need to stick together and protect themselves from those who fear them. To find others like them who they can learn and grow with.


    So, why not join a coven?


    rules--

    i. witches don't have to be female, they can be male or anything in between

    ii. diversity is heavily encouraged!!

    iii. drama is also super encouraged, i'm expecting some witchy angst lmao

    iv. for the form, a "magical focus" is basically what area of magic your witch is best at

    MAGICAL FOCUS: Shaman; he works with the ancient spirits of the earth, including the ancestors. He is also particularly skilled at healing with herbs and other, more mystical means. He is quite advanced in animal communication, and considers himself a friend to the critters of the wild. Among this, he also seems to be clairaudient and clairvoyant, hearing things that no one else can hear, and receiving visions via dreams or while awake. He's also seen the occasional spirit or two. He is adept at meditation, and uses it as an outlet from the world, as well as a gateway to the universe.

    MAGICAL FOCUS: her magical abilities are encapsulated under the concept of manipulation; whether that be the manipulation of one's perception of reality through illusion, or in altering a person's emotions and thoughts to better reflect her own objectives and ideals. she's also able to manipulate physical matter in a reflection of telekinesis, though this a far less polished skill.

    HEADCANONS:

    — incredibly volatile personality. goes from relatively docile to absolutely livid and calling for blood in a frankly terrifying amount of time. the very embodiment of a human firecracker.

    — knows how to pit people against each other to get exactly what she wants. not afraid to spread conflicting gossip in order to manipulate a desired outcome with absolutely no remorse for who she might hurt.

    — ambitious and determined to get what she wants no matter who she steps on along the way. definitely unashamedly ruthless.

    — really good at hiding just how ruthless she is. you'll never know it was her that pulled the strings.

    — once you think you know her she's very sweet and a definite people-pleaser. she'll make you feel like her best friend, but she's probably telling someone else she hates you if she thinks that's what they want to hear.

    — not afraid to break hearts. she'll sleep with someone's partner just for the fun of having them catch them together.

    — highkey chaotic neutral vibes, but could definitely be some evil villain if it benefited her.

    — if she actually legitimately likes you she would commit murder in defense of your name and reputation. incredibly loyal to a very select few.

    — probably not really down for murder. her revenge is more along the theme of 'ruin your life through decimating your reputation'.

    — actually lets a lot slide and forgives relatively easily unless she's being obtrusively insulted or baited into a fight to her face. her two responses are absolute apathy or extreme aggression. if you get the second option, she'll probably never forgive you. cuts people off like she's never known them.

    — her weakness is being told she isn't good enough or can't do something. all of her determination stems from being incredibly insecure about not being 'good enough'.

    — doesn't do real emotions. if things get real, she deflects and pushes people away because she's insecure and doesn't know how to show vulnerability.

    — stupidly fussy eater.

    — obsessively organised and will probably cut you if you don't put things where they belong.

    — really likes shoes. the higher the heel, the better. it definitely has nothing to do with the fact she's a little under average height.

    — definitely an aries.


    PERSONAL PLOTS: she's going to have to learn how to do the whole genuine emotions thing at some point. having her inadvertently hurt someone she actually likes, or have someone she likes call her out on her being a manipulative bitch and basically cut her off would really hurt her. she also needs to learn how to utilise her magic to its full potential and for something other than causing problems and getting her own way.

    GROUP PLOTS: happy for her to be a disruptive force in the group and cause a few problems between characters, romantic or platonic or otherwise.

    — a very free-living person, almost a hippie; she rarely judges others for their own lifestyle, unless it is rigid or militaristic in some way

    — doesn't know how to use her words, often appearing to be awkward or unempathetic in fragile situations concerning others' feelings

    — a complete and utter pacifist with a passion for animals; unfortunately, animals don't seem to like her quite as much

    — loves to eat chicken feet

    — very easily frustrated with time-consuming activities, will always attempt to find a quicker and more efficient way of pleasing people or solving problems

    — incredibly short attention span— often daydreams and can be viewed as an airhead or forgetful by others, for good reason

    PERSONAL PLOTS: I'd like for Ida to be caught up in some sort of curse and she has to figure out how to resolve it using her own very un-magical skills.

    Maybe she gets on the bad side of a powerful witch and bluffs, claiming she has the skill to overthrow her when in reality, she has no such ability.

    GROUP PLOTS: Perhaps she gets caught up in some kind of magical accident and thinks she saved the day, when in reality it was by chance or luck that she was rescued?
