"Back to where we made our memories"

"Through unopened windows, bound to my heart'" — Featherlight

Today would be the first day she trained both her new apprentices. After she had trained Silent she had a good understanding of what it takes to be a mentor and felt more comfortable in the role as a teadher and mentor. Approaching the apprentice's den, the heat battering her fur she let a soft sigh play from her maw wondering if this heat would last forever or will leaf-bare's icy cold grips tarsnish their lands once more "Serpantpaw, Ivorypaw. I know its hot out but its time to see the border, lets try and stay in the shade as much as possible" her words were gentle and filled with warmth as her green gaze scanned the den for her teo apprentices.

    "I'm a fool"

    "Speak" "Thoughts"

  • Rasping her tongue over her long haired pelt, Ivorypaw sighed and spat out a small tuft of fur. She liked to think of herself as able to adapt to any situation, but the heat was making her rather uncomfortable. ”Shade sounds nice,” she sighed, whiskers drooping. Even though the heat made her fur cling to her body like wet moss, she looked forward to finally being able to see the territory with a guide for the first time. The idea of being able to splash through the Mellifluous river that supposedly divided Riverclan and Thunderclan sounded refreshing. "Do you think we'll be able to stop by the river sometime later today to cool down?"

  • Serpentpaw's first night in the apprentice's den had felt extremely odd. For the first time, the scent of milk was not surrounding him, replaced by the snoring bodies of the clan's apprentices. Not only that, but he was one of the youngest ones, which meant he was kicked to the outskirts of the den, where the noises of the outside spooked him in the night. To say the least, he hadn't slept very well, so he was already awake when Featherlight poked her head inside.

The tom lifted his head to look at her and smiled softly. "Sunflowerglow says I have to stay in the shade to avoid another heatstroke," He would inform her, getting to his paws to shake the moss from his pelt. His forest green eyes glanced to the side at Ivorypaw, casting his friend a hesitant smile. It comforted him greatly to know that a pal of his would be by his side throughout this whole journey. It made him feel a lot less alone. But, then she said something preposterous.

"Th-the river?" He stammered, throwing incredulous wide eyes back towards their mentor. "Like, to swim in it? Why would anyone want to do that?" Sure, it would cool you off, but it was so wet! What was she, a RiverClanner?

    "speech."

I take it hard, it's hard to take ——

  • Flicking her ears towards Serpentpaw, Ivorykit turned to face him and gave him a small sympathetic look. She felt bad that he had suffered a heatstroke, but she supposed she had been sick at one point too, so she had her fair share of suffering too. ”I think swimming in the river for Thunderclanners is a bit against the rules, innit?”
