  • As she padded towards the rock she used to conduct meetings, there was a slight slow in Heronstar's steps. The last time she had given a meeting she had passed out, unknowingly in the process of losing a second life. That had been a very surprising moment to say the least, and Heronstar had no intention of repeating that soon. Then again, she hadn't planned on losing a life at her last meeting, and yet that had happened.

Shaking her head to herself, the SkyClan leader would gracefully jump onto her rock. A moment later her silky voice could be heard echoing around the camp, summoning her clanmates to gather below. "All those old enough to hunt their own prey, please gather below the highrock for a meeting!"

    the agenda

    - ceremonies

    - little discussion about the med situation/congratulating tawny and bison again

    - possibly more?

  • Oh good, a reason to get out of the medicine cat den? He'd take it in a heartbeat... He had been helping sort herbs while quietly muttering their names under his breath like Charcoal had possibly requested him to. Or maybe the apprentice was trying to behave and not sneak off to be a pretend warrior? Who knew, but it was obvious how antsy he was to get out. All it took was the leaders call for him to jump out of the den and race off to where he'd watch the meeting.

Oh shoot- maybe he could take a seat next to Bisonpaw... he decides to sit down for now but his eyes watch the approaching cats carefully for his friend.

  • CHARCOALSMUDGE

    ★ skyclan ★ medic ★ male

Charcoalsmudge trotted up without a single word, taking a seat towards the left side of the highrock. The commotion at his announcement and the protest from Arcticwind had put a damper on the spirit that starclan and receiving his name had given him. To say that he was angry would have been an understatement but he had learned early on to hold his tongue. The medic looked up to his mother with an unreadable expression, waiting.

  • Cloudedpaws ears twitched at the call and she'd swish her tail, appearing at the far end of the meeting and letting her gaze search for either two of her closest friends, Mothshine or Juniperthorn. In fact, with a large swell of pride and excitement, she'd be joining them in the warrior den soon!

And then her gaze landed on Charcoalsmudge and she'd slide her eyes away, ignoring the fact that she'd ever tried to meet his eyes. In her mind, she had much bigger things to do than to try to rekindle something she ignored. Her fault, yes, but she'd focus on the meeting for now.

Larkkit walked over and sat down next to her clanmates. She was so excited to see what Heronstar was going to announce.

The words Heronstar called to the Clan were on the fringes of becoming unfamiliar in Whitenose's memories. But after a quiet moment of processing what she had said, the tom pushed to his paws to pad closer and actually be considered a part of the meeting. In his peripheral, the tom saw an NPC jerk to their paws, being anything but subtle in their task of watching over his every movement. It wasn't insulting, it was just tiresome. Sitting down on the outskirts of the group, Whitenose trained his hazel eyes on Heronstar's figure and prepared himself to not zone out as he was wont to do these days.

  • Heronstar would watch quietly as her clanmates began to gather below, heads lifted, waiting to see what she had to say. Compared to some of the meetings she had hosted this would be a relative short one with a few ceremonies to conduct as well as discuss the situation regarding StarClan as she promised Tawnypaw she would.

"Firstly, we have a few ceremonies to conduct today," Heronstat would begin, looking out in the crowd for the first cat, or rather kitten she she was looking for. "Larkkit, please step forward," She would mew softly, gesturing for the young kitten to come forward. [Heronstar would give her a friendly nod when she stopped in front of her. "Larkkit, you have reached the of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Larkpaw. I have decided to be your mentor. I will teach you as well as I can, Larkpaw." The lilac calico would lean forward to touch noses with her new apprentice. It was an interesting choice at least, but with Winterpaw and Mothpaw busy she was down an apprentice, and longed to be able to teach again.

Next there were some new appointing of mentors. "Lavenderpaw, Kestrelpaw, please step forward," She instructed, waiting for her daughters to aproach. "Lavenderpaw since your NPC mentor has chosen to retire to the elders den, I have decided to give you a new mentor. From this day forth Whitenose shall be your mentor." She turned to try and find the tom in the crowd. Again it would be an interesting choice, especially with him recently returned. But she saw this as a great opportunity to be able to prove himself. "As for you Kestrelpaw, now that Mothshine is able to return to her duties, she will once again take over mentoring duties for you."

"Okay, one last ceremony before we can move on to other things!" Heronstar laughed. "Cloudedpaw, please step forward. By the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cloudedpaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Cloudednight. StarClan honours you spirit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of SkyClan."

He couldn't have heard that right. As far as Whitenose was aware, he was still being watched, the other cats still waiting for him to show signs of being in allegiance with BloodClan, of being a traitor. There was no way Heronstar was appointing him an apprentice. The only other apprentice he had had was Sunpaw before he left SkyClan. He hadn't been anywhere close to finishing her training, so he was shocked into stillness hearing Heronstar call his name.

It took him a few heartbeats to actually stand up and weave his way around the fringes of those gathered so that he could stand in front of Heronstar and Lavenderpaw. Looking down at the young apprentice, he hesitated, glancing at Heronstar just to be absolutely certain that she hadn't made a mistake, before touching noses with the younger feline.

He retreated to the edges again, lost in thought. Was this a chance to prove himself? Or was this just Heronstar absolutely desperate for mentors that she had no other choice? Either way, Whitenose knew that he couldn't fail again, because there would be no more chances. Lavenderpaw deserved a mentor who would take training seriously, who understood that this was the future of SkyClan and Lavenderpaw's future, too. He couldn't mess it up.

  • He was late to the meeting and he felt bad for it but he was recuperating. His sickness was getting worse not better and he was unsure of how to fix the issue since he did not know anything yet. Deciphering plants was a learning experience for him and all the jumbled up scents made his stuffed up nose confused. When Tawnypaw had left the den he had already given up on the learning process for the day and instead had laid down. His fever was killing him and whatever Charcoalsmudge was giving him. wasn't breaking it. He still remembered being told that he had a strange delusion during his spar and he was afraid to even ask what it had been. Now he dragged himself from the nest and made his way toward the meeting, hearing Heronstar speak on new names, new apprentices, new warriors. He would congratulate them but his voice was almost absolutely gone. Shivering he would settle himself near Tawnypaw after taking a long bout to track him down and he would lower to lay. Head hanging a bit but he is attentive. He needed to find a cure to his ailment or else he would starve to death...he couldn't find the will to eat. And days were becoming a struggle.

Her eye's went wide as Heronstar called her name. Larkkit stepped forward, a little unsteady and her heart was pounding in her chest. This was it. This was her apprentice ceremony. She couldn't be an apprentice and find out who her mentor would be. She smiled as she announced that she would mentor her. She was so excited she almost forgot to touch noses. Larkkit, or Larkpaw, happily cheered for the rest of her clanmates as Heronstar continued with the announcements.

  • MOTTLEWISH

    the tales untold

So early? Larkkit would be an apprentice? Man, everything always went by so fast. She would miss the kit's company in the nursery, but perhaps she would also come to the storytime as an apprentice. Mottlewish cheered for her until she came back, when she walked through the crowd closer to her and licked her ear. "Apprenticed, by the leader, that's amazing Larkpaw! I'm sure you'll be a great warrior. Your mom would be so proud of you. I'm proud of you," she meowed, brown eyes sparkling with pride as she sat close to the young apprentice.

  • MOTHSHINE

    Skyclan - Senior Warrior - Female - 16 moons

Mothshine loved the bustle of meetings. All of her clanmates gathered, listening to whatever news Heronstar had to share. Often times they had reason to celebrate, with their younger clan members growing steadily. She took a place near Cloudedpaw, flashing a smile her way before her gaze focused up on Heronstar. Every ceremony she sat through would remind her of her own. She had been lucky enough to experience three promotions in her short lifetime. Becoming apprentice and receiving Lavenderskies as a mentor had been the start of everything. It was the first step in becoming exactly who she was now. It might've been the greatest day of her life, until her warrior ceremony. Something about standing alongside Juniperthorn, fresh off the high of battle--she'd never forget that feeling. She'd held onto it since then and made no plans of letting go. Becoming a senior warrior was another feeling entirely. The memory of it sent her paws a buzz with excitement and it still made her heart pound. She beamed when Heronstar called forth each of their members, and she rose to her own paws at Kestrelpaw's name being spoken. She missed the training desperately during her recovery. She stood to touch noses with her as they had done moons ago, when she'd first been apprenticed. "It'll be your warrior ceremony before you know it." She promised her beneath her breath, smile touching her eyes. It felt like a promise to Lavenderstar, if she was watching. If she could do even half as much for Kestrelpaw as she did for her, it'd be quite the feat.

The sound of their newly returned clanmate's name being called had her eyes back on Cloudedpaw again. She wondered briefly if she had been expecting this--to receive her name so shortly after coming home to them again. If there was anyone who doubted whether or not she deserved it, it certainly wasn't Mothshine. She had seen the growth she'd gone through, and in such short time. She had watched her struggle and watched her succeed. If there was thing she was sure of, it was her resilience. She'd proven it more than once. Heronstar calling upon her gave her a surge of pride, and she tried to catch her eye before she stepped forward. Something to tell her she was proud of her. Well, they'd have plenty of time for that later. She was quick to start the cheering when Heronstar concluded, Cloudednight ringing loud and clear from her maw. "We'll have to find a nest for you in the warrior's den!" She chirped towards her brightly. After the vigil she'd be sitting tonight, she was sure the rest would be needed.

  • Having been late to the meeting, Kestrelpaw took a seat near the back and briefly wondered what her mother would touch on today. How hard it must be to have the position of leader ... the golden tabby shook her head softly - no, she would never be fit for that. One must have a certain amount of passion for the job and leading, something she could never have. There was a maternal instinct in her bones, one that made nagging and bossing around not too difficult, but she couldn't imagine the immense responsibility it took to lead a Clan. It would crush someone like her, for sure. To see her mother up there, it was always a rush of pride that flowed through her. Heronstar was strong, a natural leader, and golly! Kes looked up to her every day.

When her name was called, Kestrelpaw was pulled out of her daydream and she scrambled for a second to realize what it was that she was being called forward for. Surely it wasn't time for her warrior ceremony yet - she had admittedly been lacking a little in training and did not feel anywhere near ready to receive her name. Oh! Mothshine was ready to begin her training again. It was a good thing, because the NPC warrior that had been training her was really getting on her nerves ... the old grump was always getting onto her for something or another.

Bounding up to touch noses with the senior warrior, Kestrelpaw curled her tail in excitement.

  • — " I wish we’d met before they convinced you life is war! "

Peppermintpaw stuck to the sidelines - they were still new, still an outside if they were honest. It didn't bother them as much as it might another, but it unfortunately did still bother them - something they wished was not true. Their soft, warm voice would join the others as they gave congratulations and praise, but the familiarity and understanding of a skyclan-born cat was lacking when one compared Pep to the others - to be expected of course. Their pale face turned towards the leader whom stood at the front, they'd listen and learn and copy along. "Speech"

  • From atop the highrock, she would watch as her clanmates congratulated each other, and celebrated the new promotions. It was good to see that after an uncertain start to leafbare, there were positives for her clan. Heronstar would give her clanmates a moment to finish their celebrations, before she spoke again.

"Before I let you go, there is just one more thing I need to say," She explained. She took a moment to clear her throat before she said anything more. "It had recently been bought to my attention that some of us are concerned about the fate of StarClan and our warrior ancestors. And after the stark warning received not too long, I believe we would be wise to be cautious. Looking out among you all, I see no-one that I believe would maliciously break the code. I know we've all had our slip ups - myself included - but I ask all of you to be mindful from here on out. If I learn of any of you breaking the code, you will be punished as deemed appropriate to how severely you went against it. We cannot afford to risk losing StarClan, to lose our past and history, nor can we afford to lose our future."

Heronstar gave a moment for her words to sink in before nodding her head. "That is all for this meeting. You are dismissed."
