  • When Kana peered around her to look inside her room, Chara moved aside slightly so the girl wouldn't strain her neck looking inside. She gave a small chuckle at her comment about it being her, "Thanks."

The sudden question about her Quirk, however, made her small smile waver. Keeping the smile plastered, however, she tried pushing down her immediate reaction when it came to her Quirk, which was to clam up and run.

Instead, she took a deep breath and tried owning up to what she could do, "Uh," she swallowed, "My Quirk is called Blood Manipulation..."

  • "Woah! That sounds really cool! I've only heard about a quirk like that once before in some villain." Kana thought allowed. "But I'm not implying that you're some villain too-" she stammered trying to catch her mistake, "I only mean it sounds supper unique." she concluded. Kana sighed. "I'm sorry, you must think I'm some nut. I get it from my dad, you know- he was obsessed with hero and villain stuff. He's actually the reason I enrolled to U.A-". 'Oh great, now I'm over sharing' Kana thought, If this girl didn't think she was a weirdo before, she probably did now.

  • Chara tilted her head, her lip quivering as she tried not to laugh at this girl. Yep, she seemed to be even more awkward than she was, "It's fine." She giggled before sobering up. She'd never told others about her past or her parents or, well, anything personal, but this was supposed to be a fresh start-U.A, dorm rooms, the start to her future. She needed to reinvent herself, become someone she, well, wasn't. Clearing her throat, she tried being the person she now wanted to be, "Um, actually, my father was a famous villain. Uh, he's actually the reason I want to become a hero too. Well, growing up my mom wanted me to become a hero, show that I wouldn't end up like my father. That's what I want too; to show that my Quirk can be used for good, that it's not always evil."

  • Kana's face went blank with wonder. Such an honorable, high path to take. And with such a strong resolve too. Kana could already tell, this girl was going to be a tough opponent; a fierce allie as well. But she too was dedicate to this path with her own resolve and her own reasons. "Do you maybe want to come over too my room for some tea? It's really good for you're heath! And I have lot of different kinds, so i'm sure we could find some you like! Also I have something I've been meaning to ask of you-" she eagerly invited. Kana couldn't help but get excited at the thought of tea, even though it made her sound like some old lady.

  • Chara hesitated a moment before nodding in agreement. It was a bit out of her comfort zone, going with a stranger to their place even if just for tea. But, this girl was a classmate. She had a goal just like Chara did, they both wanted to become heroes, to serve the greater good. If she couldn't count on her to be an ally, who could she count on?

"Uh, sure. We still have some time before going to bed." Closing the door behind her, she turned back towards Kana, "What did you want to ask me?"

"Yeah, about that." she spoke as she crossed the hall back to her own room. "So, I like to consider myself as, uh, somewhat of an artist. And today in class when you walked toward me thorough the flames- or fake flames I guess- well, what i'm trying to say is that i'd like to draw you." Kana pushed the door open with her back, holding it open into her room, "If that's not to weird, of course. I also won't take offence if you don't want to!" she stumbled. Tapestries flowed, half hung from the sealing as they entered. "Sorry about these." Kana said in a truly apologetic tone. "I'm only half unpacked and I can't seem to find the rest of my pins." she pushed the hanging fabric out of the way revealing a traditional kneeling table with two brown cushions, one on each side. "You can have a seat if you want while I boil some water." Kana hurriedly walked over to one of the many boxes still looming across the room. She withdrew an electric kettle from the box's depths, plugging in it base and setting it on the table. She took the main metal container to her desk and filled it from a judge of filtered water she'd been using to water her plants. Once filled she brought it back to the table and set in on it's base. With her work, now finished, she took her seat at the table. She reached for one of the near by boxes labeled 'tea' and dragged it over. "What kind would you like?" she inquired. "I have tones of traditional green tea like Sencha or Gyokuro or even Matcha- I think. I also have some fruity teas if you'd like to try one of those!" she place a few cylinder containers out on the colorful table as she went.

  • Chara followed Kana just down the hall to her room. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of the girl's room, it was so... Colorful. Quite the opposite of Chara herself, who usually only stuck to two colors for pretty much everything.

Snapping out of it, she listened to what Kana said about drawing, and the tea, "You'd like to draw me? Wow, that's... Flattering. Um, sure, if you want to. I don't mind. Just show me when you finish, ok? I'd like to see it." She wondered what she must've looked like today in that illusion of flames, her hair had probably blended right in. She almost chuckled at the thought.

"Uh, I'll try a fruity tea, if you don't mind. Any kind works, thank you."

"Fruity it is!" she bubbled while taking out a silver tin. Kana unscrewed the top of the tin causing it to screech out the unpleasant sound of poorly constructed metal on metal. As the top finally twisted off a sweet-fruity sensation filled the room as the sent swirled from the tin, mixing with the air around the two. Inside the shiny container resided brown chunks and flakes of all different sizes. A few of the chunks seemed to even pop with a hint of under-toning color as Kana scooped out the first portion into a small ball made of metal mesh. She clasped the tea ball shut and places it into a pale green mug. "Here you go-" she smiled friendly, "my mother actually made this one before I left for school, I hope you like it!" Kana placed the mug in front of her new acquaintance and then fixed herself a cup. It took another few minutes for the kettle heat but once it did, Kana politely filled Chara's cup first, and then her own. In the mean time she was determined to get to work. She retrieved her sketch book from her desk along with a few charcoal pencils. "If you don't mind I'd like to start now," not waiting for an answer Kana began to sketch into the journal. She peaked up once or twice a minute but other than that her body remained motionless, beside her hands of course; which were fiercely scribbling away. "By the way" she piped up after a moment, "I have actually been wanting to say something. About what you told me about your father earlier. With him being a villain and all that." Kana swallowed. Hesitating for a moment but not truly faltering from her work, she kept her head down as she spoke "I get it. Kind of. I mean, I assume he wasn't ever really around too much and he probably's in jail now-" Kana purposefully bit her tongue. "I'm sorry! I don't mean any offence. I'm actually probably over stepping a lot but what I'm trying to say is that I lost my dad too! So I, ugh, know how hard it can be sometimes. That's all." She concluded shyly. It wasn't exactly how she meant it to come out and Kana hoped she didn't hurt Chara's feelings by the abrupt way she spoke. Kana peeked up over her journal to see if she could gauge the girls reaction.

OOC: I'm very sorry for this somewhat late post. I'm INCREDIBLY busy this week and it's been super crazy. I most likely won't be active very much, if at all.

  • OOC: All good I totally understand!

IC: Chara took a sip of the tea after letting it steep for a moment. It was hot, but good, "You're mother has great taste-oh, uh, sure." She said as she watched Kana get out her notebook and pencils and start drawing, glancing up at her every now and then. Chara wasn't sure if there was something she should be doing for this, she'd never be muse for someone's art before. Should she be posing? Staying still? She didn't know. When Kana mentioned her father, her blood ran cold. She had hoped that bit of information would be forgotten after being said, but then Kana continued, sort of tripping over her own words. Smiling, Chara shook her head, "No, it's fine. I take no offence. He was caught right after my birth and has been in prison ever since. I've never actually met him, you see, only heard things from my mother and read news articles and such. So no, he was never around my entire life. I don't know any better, I'd like to think it would have been nice having a dad, but all I've ever needed was my mom. She raised me to know the difference between right and wrong; good and bad. I believe she hopes one day I'll become a great hero, one that my father will hear about where he is, and the it was possible for his Quirk to be used for good, instead of bad like he used it for."
