。・゚゚・ As good as Cassiopeia was at calligraphy, it was so tedious! Instead, for this invite, she came in person. Excitedly. She had set up the whole thing herself! "Salve! Painted Brigade! Here to invite you to a thing!" A Saturnalia thing! Oh, where are they? She got impatient fast and started prancing around singing "Saturnalia! Candles chase away the night! Blah blah Saturnalia!" Oh, the Cartel. They'll like this party. It's chaotic.

//SEASON OF MISGIVING ~ Ally Saturnalia party!

  • Carmenere had sparingly attended parties if she could recall, she as a child rarely left her room in her quote on quote castle. Always stayed closed to home while her Mother was always far away from it, but that's the past and she'd vented her frustrations in a rebellious streak in the Rivulet isles and now she was here separated from it all and with a duty and rank that was all her own. As a host it was her job to entertain rather that be by whispering sweet nothings or helping to close in the bonds between the Cartel and their business partners (a better word for allies in her opinion, they were just a job to be done and entertained not their friends or close confidants) she could never see why so many clans fussed over getting along all the time. Wasn't neutrality and staying to themselves even better only coming to see each other in events or when their was trade to indulge themselves in?

There are many things about clanlife she questioned now when she never did when she was a little princess. This get together is one of them, her pretty face tilts to the side at the Brigadier. She's never met one of their kind before, only heard of them through word of mouth. It's clear she hasn't gotten out much even now when she frequented the Talon bridge and trading center to pick up jobs. ”I'm sure Breakout would be perfectly fine with the Cartel being in attendance to this...” she waves her paw out in a gesture ”Saturnalia thing... If I may ask what does it entail Miss?” Carmenere was certain she was far from an adult but the title stayed. It would be rude to refer to her by her age when she had the responsibility to be sent alone.

    "I would love to go!"

Penny spoke up as he slithered his way over, flicking his tongue out in a more excited manner as he pulled up next to Carmenere. Though even he was quite curious about what 'Saturnalia' was, so he hoped they would get an answer.

。・゚゚・ Two people answered in rapid succession, so she stopped her little number and smiled a greeting. They asked what Saturnalia was, so she answered with a smug smile "I guess you'll have to find out! It involves candles though. They chase away the darkness!" This was gonna be fun. She even temporarily forgot her fear of snakes! And strangers. Latin

  • ★ ★ ★ The male came up next and blinked. Ears perked and wings twitching slightly. "Saturnalia? The festival of Saturn. A party that is meant to be like Christmas with merrymaking and good tidings.." He mused with hopes that he was right. It was something he heard of in a history book.

。・゚゚・ Oh, a third person. An educated history buff. "Spoilsport." she sighed in a semi-teasing manner. "Also Saturnalia came first. And it is a lot more... raucous than Christmas. So my mother tells me, anyway!" She was very talkative today. She doesn't even like talking about her mom! She was just so excited. This was her first one, after all. Latin

  • " Well ya can count the cartel in. " Breakout would say as he finally arrived up with a grin never having taking part in a saturnalia before so wasn't all to sure what it was all about or what to expect from it but he guess he had to show up to see, huh?. In any case it sounded fun and he could never say no to a party which he assumed it was.

  • A festival celebrating Saturn it was clear in the name and she feels rather inept not putting two and two together. Astronomy was never her strong suit nor was an intellectual pursuit, clearly she was more talented in more physical affairs and jobs rather than in dusty old rooms staring up the tip of a telescope at what none of them could never meet.

More had come including Breakout as the girl spoke, he's given the formal acceptance and she would take it. Even if this event was unfamiliar and in a place she had never visited she would attend would bring business back to the Cartel if she could and maybe simply make friends in outer reaches of the world. ”Sounds like fun” her voice is deadpan not enthusiastic but she doesn't mean any harm by it; only speaking as coldly as she always does.

  • — erm...wasn't saturn a planet? the idea of an inanimate existence obtaining a festival seemed silly. of course, festivals weren't meant to be serious. the important part was that it was a festival. festivals meant people. people meant she sure as hell wasn't gonna be left out. well, she would've stayed away if breakout had shot down this stranger of the "painted brigade". another group, she assumed. very little could be discerned from their name alone. unless they quite literally painted themselves, in which case they'd have to spend long periods of time repainting themselves everytime a droplet of water made it's mark. if they actually did that, she'd had a good laugh to herself over the absurdity of it all.

no use in making preemptive judgments. she had the opportunity to experience a slither of their culture for herself, and she intended to stray outside of the cartel and speak to some fresh faces. that and get swept away by the rhythm of the festival. if it involved candles, it had to be fun. she had an affinity for fire, being a hellhound and all. despite her excitement, she had nothing substantial to add to this discussion. so she sat back and offered a sugary smile to the painted...brigadier? okay, she didn't know the collective plural for the members of the cartel either. she was still pretty new to all of this.
