  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious looked up at Serena as she spoke, the flames dancing off his light brown eyes as he looked up at her "sure I guess"he replied to her. He turned so he faced her, he stretched out his arms as he said"what do you want to talk about?" Luscious couldn't imagine why she wanted to speak to him or what it was going to be about but he could tell it was important by the tone of her voice.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

"T-thank you....your kind words mean alot..."Nafiel said sniffling as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She looked up at Matthew as he touched her hand and upon Allister and Serena coming back she let his hand go as he stood up to go talk to then. When he arrived back with the rabbits the elf looked at him "c-cook...them....why?"said as more tears rolled down her cheeks. Nafiel could never imagine eating a innocent rabbit, she sat back on her knees still quietly sobbing at the thought of being stuck here

  • Alistair Fallman

Alistair threw the deer body on the ground and knelt by it. A beautiful creature but sadly had to be hunted for food. Survival was an important priority. He stabbed his knife into the ground before turning towards Nafiel and Matthew. The elf didn't seem to be a fan of meat or at least killing animals. However he felt he could probably try to think up a reasoning that the elf could be fine with. He moved closer to the elf and knelt down next to her. "I'm sorry Nafiel but humans are meat eaters, guess we assumed elves where as well, if you want I could find something not meat based for you to eat" he said in the gentler voice gently patting her shoulder.

He turned his head towards Matthew as one of escorts pointed towards a bush. It seemed to have some sort of berries on it. Raspberry like but it could be magical for all he knew. He also had two of the medics move the deer body to out of Nafiel's sight.

  • Matthew sighed and looked up at the sky Seems like my village was right, I 'll never be able to win over anyone with my pointless words. Matthew quickly began to rotate his rabbit meat on a stick over the fire and decided that remaining quiet wouldn't do anyone any harm. Serena gestured for Luscious to step aside from the others and they proceeded to do so until the fire became a small flare in the distance. "Luscious I wanted to speak to you about the way you handled us seeing the village for the first time. I fully understand that you are death and you have a "job to do" she placed some quotes up in the air with her hands and lowered them again quickly. "Despite all of that I'll have to ask you not to treat Nafiel like that with the man, I'm very accustomed to death, but as an Elf who is very attuned to nature and its balance she truly doesn't want their to be any pain or suffering of any kind. So please don't do anything like that again, I understand that you have things to do while we try and figure this whole mess out, but don't act like that towards the group." Serena found herself becoming rather nervous in front of Luscious and pulled away a strand of her scarlet hair that was beginning to get in her face. "Do you understand? I'd also like you to try and be a bit more vocal. Alistair is more talkative than you and he's a ghost, he's living a crazy afterlife and he still has more to say than you do it seems." Serena glanced at everyone beginning to dig into the meat at the fire. "Was there anything you wanted to say to me? You've had this weird look on your face anytime I glance in your direction and I'm not a mind reader." Serena took in a deep breath and helped it as she noticed how deep and murky his eyes were. She swore that she could spend forever looking into them and she would become more lost than the group already was in the forest.

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious listened to what Serena had to say and stood there listening to her, "I understand what your saying and I won't do it again purposely. I cant promise anything though, but I'll do my best"he replied to her. He looked her over and then said "I can try being more vocal but there isn't much for me to say, as for your other question no there isn't anything particular I wanted to say to you. That look was just me admiring your beauty, am I not aloud to admire such a beautiful girl?" He gave her a smirk after he spoke as hs awaited her reply.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiel watched as Serena and Luscuous walked off to talk, her stomache growled as she scooted closer to the fire. The light illuminated her face and danced across had skin, she sat next to Matthew and said "do not feel bad about what you said, you did not know. It is not your fault, one can never be found guilty for something they never knew was wrong, my people go about life like this. If someone wrongs you but they did not know what they did was wrong then you should not grow angry at them but teach them." The elf looked over at Matthew as he cooked his meat, "my people always believe that knowledge is power and to be ignorant is to be weak, you Matthew, are strong. For you are always seeking knowledge, you have known me for such a short time and have already sought knowledge from me,that makes you strong"she said.

  • Alistair Fallman

Alistair walked over to the deer body and pulled the knife from the ground. He went to skinning it in a quick and efficient manner. Was one of the harder things to skin. He eventually managed to remove the skin and began to hack into it with his knife accompanied by a couple of his battalion. It needed to be cut up for easier movement and eating. He placed the meat onto the removed skin and used it to hoist it towards the fire.

He picked up one of the chunks and held it over the fire, the fire would not harm him at all. In fact it was common for him to do this to deal with Explosives. The blast would be contained in the but he wouldn't be harmed. He held it over the fire until it had cooked then he switched the meat with the next raw bit and repeated the process.

  • Serena raised her hands to her face, but quickly lowered them. "Are you kidding me?" She managed to keep her voice soft despite how badly she wanted to raise it. "This could never work out," Serena ripped the hair tie out of her hair and let the waves around her cheeks nestle and tumble on her shoulders. Taking in a deep breath, she pressed her lips into Luscious's and felt how soft and gentle they were. It didn't matter to her that he was death, it didn't matter to her that she was a vampire, there was something about him that she just couldn't shake. Serena pulled away after a few moments and looked into his deep eyes, "Thank you for speaking to me and hearing me out. Maybe when this is all over I'll finally figure out why we met in the first place." Serena cleared her throat and walked back to the fire with as much poise as she could muster. "How's the food everyone?" She smiled as she had overheard Nafiel giving some pleasant words to Matthew and Alistair seemed lost in thought as always. Sitting down next to Nafiel she stared into the burning fire and felt the heat warp around her body, she couldn't remember the last time she had a roaring fire and some good company.

Matthew held his breath and let it go when he heard Nafiel's comforting words. He truly wanted to believe her, but at the end of the day what could she possibly see in him? She was a gorgeous elf that he shouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting and he was but a simple human from a destroyed village. "Thank you Nafiel, but you don't need to try and comfort me...I'm clearly not worth your time." Matthew begrudgingly lowered his rabbit to the ground almost throwing it in the fire itself. Getting to his feet he pivoted quickly and began to storm off in the forest. "Matthew, it isn't safe out there!" Serena zoomed in front of him at extreme speed, but Matthew shoved her away in anger. "I didn't deserve to be the one survivor, so please stop looking out for me. I'm clearly not worth your time," Matthew's voice had turned a few shades darker as he proceeded walking into the night until the fire behind him was barely visible. Serena frowned and looked at each of them by the fire, "we're going to go after him right? We don't have a choice whatever we're up against is still out there."

  • Black flame licked the brown hide of the deer as it finally collapsed, shadows flickering as the light through the trees was absorbed into the abysmal depths it created. “Rest easy” the voice came quickly, in between deep breaths. Damari quickly closed the gap between him and his fallen prey, laying a hand on his victim as he tried to catch his breath, black hair ragged from running through the woods after the slowed deer.

The darkness seeped through his fingers as he pressed his palm into the deer, and it’s breathing slowly came to a stop. A painless death, having your energy drained until exhaustion. Probably one of the better ways to go for a deer, or at least that was how Damari looked at it. But still, where was he? He’d been hiking through Galloway Forest until a day ago, when he’s taken a step and everything around him had changed. Up until now he hadn’t found a single soul, other than the wildlife. But still, what was up with the amount of deer here? He hated to think about the amount of predators they could feed.

“I’ll need... this” he mumbled as a dark liquid seeped from his other hand, taking the shape of a dagger before hardening. “I’ll save the rest for later. Now I need to start a fire somehow...” he stated, before looking up and letting out a massive sigh in exasperation.

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious froze when Serena kissed him but eventually he fell into it kissing her back, when she pulled away he listened to her and watched her go. He stood there for a moment trying to process what the heck just happened,he turned his attention to Matthew who just stormed off. He walked back to the fire and stood next to it just enough to feel the heat, he looked up at Serena the light dancing across his eyes as he said "we should"he agreed. Luscious felt something spark down inside him when Serena kissed him, everytime he looked at her he felt his heart pull at his emotions.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

At Matthews response and when he got up to leave Nafiel didnt say a thing, she flinched when he said that he was not worth their time. Nafiel became extremely upset as she looked at Matthew as he walked off, she said "i-im...sorry." Nafiel kelt her gaze on the direction Matthew had walked off, she couldnt help but think that it was her fault he left was it something she said? Nafiel kept her gaze on him and said "it's not safe out there.....what if he gets into trouble?" She looked over at Serena with hurt in her eyes.

  • "Alistair will you go with me and a few of your men?" Serena turned to him and stood still praying he would say yes. Serena knew that Nafiel felt hurt by Matthew's rash response to her words by the fire, but it was clear that he wans't in a good head space in the moment. Serena glanced at Luscious and swore she could still feel a shiver go down her spine from their kiss. Turning away from him she grabbed a piece of the fire and held a torch burning brightly in her hand. "Matthew's been through a lot, but the last thing he needs is to die alone."

Matthew took the stick that he had been using to roast his rabbit earlier and started to hold tightly in his right hand. Nafiel just feels bad for me now, isn't that great? Serena went after me like she's my Mom and none of them even really know me...my real family is gone...I wish that I was with them instead of being stuck here by myself. Matthew felt tears begin to flow down his face as he considered whether or not his family found peace in heaven after the attack. Between the tears in his eyes Matthew managed to see that there was someone who was beginning to build a very small fire. A mad grin over took his face as he wiped away his tears and went towards the figure in the dark. "Hey there, what are you doing out here all by yourself?" He began to take a look at the stranger and saw that it was a decent sized young man and he had some deer carcass laying next to him. Nafiel and the others didn't mention anything about this guy wandering around did they? Matthew sized him up rather quickly and slowly a plan began to form in his mind.

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier watched as the survivor of the village ran to the forest. He put the meat down and stood up with a shovel at the ready. "of course Serena, no man gets left behind" he stated as he lifted his arm to point into the forest. This summoned ten soldiers, each looking more modern than his previous to walk into the forest with flashlights in hand. A few he picked up from more recent battles. He looked at the vampire as he pulled his pistol from his pocket. "now let's find Matthew, my men lost track of the deformity so it could still be around"

  • Damari was no magician by any means, and his dark flame could in no way start a fire, however he had one thing that would help him achieve his next task, “ha! Eat technology!” He yelled into the forest, before he sparked up the lighter in his hand and lit the tinder.

Getting the fire started with a lighter was pretty easy. Using the knife he’d made he had shaved wood off the tree next to him into a little pile, and after a few twigs he had a good base for a fire. Luckily it had not been raining.

He was about to get to work on the deer after throwing a few branches on the small fire when he heard a voice behind him, and the man let out a small squeal as he stood up, black dagger still in hand, “w-who’s there?” He yelled out, his distinctly British voice piercing the natural silence of the forest.

Upon scanning the wood line that the voice had come from, Mathews figure greeted him, but before he could step forward in greeting he saw the shaft of the makeshift spear and paused, a slight tingle on the back of his neck. What happened if this man wasn’t friendly?

  • Matthew raised his spear towards Damari's throat, "strangers aren't welcome near Rosemary. This is my home!" He raised his voice and felt blood pulsating through him. How could I have been so stupid? I shouldn't have allowed anyone to think this forest was safe, it's not. Matthew pressed harder into Damari's throat as he realized that he needed to act fast. "You shouldn't be here! Nobody should be in these woods," Matthew looked at Damari dead in the eyes and waited for him to start begging or pleading for his life. Matthew thought he heard a rustling behind him, but didn't care who was coming after him.

Serena frowned as they began to move forward in the night, "something is terribly wrong...I can feel it." Serena's heart began to beat faster as she realized that Matthew was probably having a mental break down from the fact that he was homeless and had no family. If only he understood that they did care about him more than he knew, he was someone they wanted to protect and help find a new home eventually. Serena looked at Nafiel and could tell her heart must have been twisted with emotions. Although Serena doubted her reaction having been any different would have really prevented Matthew form leaving the campfire, Serena began to move forward faster in the night. Don't do something you're going to regret Matthew...you don't want to make a mistake tonight

  • “R-Rosemary? Where’s that?” Damari stammered as the spear was shoved against his neck, I little of his blood now started to pool from under the pressure of the pointed tip that rested on his throat. This was beyond a bad turn, not only was the first person he’d met aggressive, but he’d also been stupid enough to let him too close.

“Listen, I don’t want any... aah f*ck it” he finally snapped, his nerves getting the better of him as he dodged to the right, grabbing the spear shaft with his left hand as he did so. “Break!” His voice rang out as the stored up energy from before fed a sudden black splash from his left hand. A single tendril wrapped around the shaft once and clenched it hard, snapping the spear in two and leaving Damari with the spearhead, leaving Matthew with the rest of the spear shaft.

As he sprinted away the adrenaline filled man whirled around, holding his black dagger in his right hand and the spear tip in his left, “stay back! I don’t want to have to do anything else here!”

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious followed after Serena and looked behind to be sure if Nafiel was behind him,he heard voices ahead one was Matthew and the other was not recognized. He quietly tailed Serena and Allistair and began to think on whether not if he is going to have to reap Matthew, he hoped he didnt have to. He sighed and tried to focus on how their going to save Matthew this time.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiel got up and quietly followed the others, she didnt understand why Matthew was upset. Was it something she said, was it because she rejected his food offer. She couldnt get her mind off it, she hated seeing others upset especially if it was her fault. The elf made her way through the bushes and brambles as they walked through the forest.

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier continued into the forest alongside his men with his pistol drawn. He could see through the dark easily, benefit of being dead. The soldiers despite being torn to shreds in appearance where just as efficient as they were in life. A group of soldiers found the survivor alongside a new person. As such they aimed their rifles at the newcomer. Alistair followed soon afterwards with his pistol raised to the newcomer. "you can try boy, you are currently holding a innocent man hostage" he stated emotionlessly "any further aggression and I'll have to execute you".

He moved his pistol suddenly towards over the newcomers shoulder. He heard something in a nearby Bush. Something cracking from the distance and a faint hum. Something was heading this way. "we need to hurry this up, something big is on the way"

  • "You're going to have to kill me if you want me to stop!" Matthew yelled at the man as he heard his spear snap into two distinct pieces. I should have never stayed with strangers on our land...maybe I am dead and this is my own personal hell...my loved ones aren't with me because I've disgraced them. Serena zoomed towards Matthew and saw in his eyes he had truly become crazed. You want to die...you don't want to live or travel with us...everything you said to Nafiel. Serena glanced at Nafiel and then proceeded to do so at Luscious and Alistair's men. "Luscious," Serena approached him with ease and whispered in his ear, "please take Matthew's life, he's going to hurt whoever this young man camping here is if you don't." Serena turned back to Matthew and saw that he was starting to make his way towards where Damari headed off further into the night. "Where are you punk? Rosemary is the home of my people and I'm not going to let you squat on it." Serena looked at Luscious with eyes hardened like marbles, her heart was sinking when she heard herself say, "if you won't finish him I will. I don't want Nafiel or anyone else to get hurt by Matthew's rampage. I could try and reason with him, but considering he just attempted to take someone else's life I'm not sure how much time he has left for reasoning." Matthew glanced at Nafiel and the others, but shook his head as he proceeded to walk forward until he saw Damari standing perfectly poised ready for battle. "What's it going to be mate? You or me?" He didn't bother waiting for an answer as he pounced on Damari and attempted to grab the spear back from him and thrust it deep into his heart. Strength flowed through him as he remembered when they first settled in Rosemary, it was a beautiful uncharted forest and anyone that set foot on their land never made it out. There were often days where the young were forced to fight against one another for survival and be tasked with making it back home safely. No wonder he hadn't died and rejoined his loved ones, they wouldn't acknowledge him without showing them he possessed no such cowardice towards those who forsake the land he was born and raised.

  • When the soldiers appeared around him, Rifles raised and poised to shoot, Damari had actually felt relief, which was very short lived to the the leaders words.

He was going to comment on the mans accent, but his thoughts were put to a halt by Matthews hasty approach. With all the anxious energy feeling him, he never really heard the mans words, so having him leap at Damari unarmed cane to a surprise. “What’s wrong with you?” He asked as he wrestled the man who was trying to take his life, but something triggered a response in him.

The eyes. Crazed, lost and wounded. This man didn’t need talk, he needed redemption. Black flame suddenly erupted, covering the upper half of the enraged human. It didn’t burn, but began to drain Matthew physically rapidly.

(Up to you what you want the outcome of this to be. Probably a nicer way to go than the reaper lol.)

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious watched Matthew attack the other male, he looked at Serena and listened to what she said he looked at her and nodded before moving he leaned and pressed a kiss to her cheek "look away"he whispered her.He summoned his scythe and crept up on Matthew. The reaper stood behind him and whispered "I'm sorry...but this must be done"as he drove the blade through Matthew's chest, the scythe slowing draining his soul into it.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiel looked at Matthew and cried out to him "Matthew....please stop this..."as she looked at him as he attacked Damari. The elf shivered a bit at the chilly air as she watched the event unfold before her, she felt powerless and weak for the first time in a while. She watched as Serena approached Luscious and tried to hear what she was saying.

  • (Thanks, sorry if it wasn’t the best welcome to the rp, but it had to be done. Also Merry Christmas everyone!)

Matthew felt energy ripping away his strength at first by a weakness starting in his legs and stretching up to his arms. Matthew winced as he attempted to move his muscles, it wasn’t really painful but confusion swept over him quickly. “What are you?” Matthew waited for the numbing sensation to stop, but what followed next was nothing sort of numb. Letting out the last breath his lungs held, Matthew felt a rippling sensation silence his entire body as he felt to the floor. His eyes remained open as the world around him darkened to a halt, like a TV being shut off in the middle of a scheduled program. All at once his body lay silent and still not a single shred of life still moving within him. Serena had snapped her head away so she didn’t have to watch the terrible fate that overcame him. My vision was true...when he pushed me away before entering the woods...I saw his body fall to the briefest moment of death. Serena covered her mouth still in shock as she turned back around and studied his corpse nestled against his homeland. “I’m so sorry,” Serena spoke to the stranger and watched as the soldiers at Alistair’s commands lowered their weapons slowly but surely. Nafiel’s eyes held a sea of emotion in both of them and she could tell that Matthew’s death wasn’t meaningless to her. “Matthew suffered a terrible trauma...it was only a matter of time until it caught up to him.” As Serena spoke she felt parts of her trembling. Why did it feel so different to her? Perhaps seeing the death felt different due to Luscious. Casting her gaze upon the stranger she noted that a dark aura had appeared to span from his fingertips and attach itself to Matthew underneath his direction. “We should bury him,” Serena had trouble forming her words as she looked at Alistair and then back at Luscious.

  • (Haha it’s no problem! And merry Christmas!)

Damari scrambled to his feet silently as the man finally succumbed to the dark flames that surrounded him, the energy that had once driven the man to try and kill him.

“No, it’s all right” The dark haired man stated, his eyes narrowing as he observed the group before him. One soldier, a girl with pointed ears, some really shady looking dude, another girl and then a lot of rifle carrying zombies. He felt like he’d walking in on some kind of bad show.

“Tell me, where are we?” He asked quickly, still trying to calm his nerves after what happened. He hadn’t forgotten that that other man had just pointed a rifle at him, however for the time being he didn’t seem aggressive.
