Serena's eyes widened in horror, corpses were littered everywhere in the small village that was weeping before them. Blood was pooling onto the grassy floor of the forest and was smeared outside of the doors of cloth covered huts. "What on earth..." Serena did her best to remain calm, but couldn't help feel her body shake in disgust. Was it a monster? Plague? Serena listened to Nelfia's distaste and saw Luscious's body react as well. "What will you do?" Serena studied him closely to see if he would visibly show taking their souls. Serena's stomach became sick as she stepped forward towards the village, "we should look for survivors, perhaps they can tell us what happened here." Serena cautiously stepped into a hut that didn't have any signs of life in it. It was rather quaint in size and no visible belongings inside of it besides plates, silver ware, and a table for them to rest on. Serena knelt to the ground as the smell of blood was beginning to intoxicate her. I don't need to feed...I'm not going to finish what somebody else started. Chastising herself, Serena's eyes turned a dark black and flashed back towards their calm emerald green. Serena exited the hut once she felt better and saw that someone was dying a few feet in front of her. At their stomach a fountain of blood was flowing and she approached the body to see if they still had their foot in this world than rather than the other. She rested what she now noticed was a young man on her leg, his shirt was badly torn and his wounds were visible to all. "It's going to be okay," she attempted to reassure him, but Serena knew that they couldn't stop whatever storm of violence had already raided the village. Serena looked to the others as they began to investigate the village as well. Running her hands through the young man's hair she felt him take his last breath, a lone tear rode down Serena's chin as she lowered her hands across the soft lids of his eyes.

Alistair Fallman
The mass death and violence caused the soldier to shift into a more battle like mindset. He looked around at the remains of the villagers spirits. Filled with fear and sadness. A usual thing for the murdered. He walked over to one of the corpses and knelt down. She had been gutted by three large slash wounds, some sort of sabre. However her head had been caved in by something large. Odd way to kill. Either one would have been enough.
He stood back up seeing his scouts return to him. They had gone further into the village. Seen no survivors or any signs of people escaping. He nodded and returned them to his battalion. "it was attacked, slash wounds, blunt force and signs of self defence on some" he stated as he inspected another body. His skull was practically dust from the amount of impacts done against it. "looks like the attackers wanted everyone dead, each show signs of overkill, we should be careful in case anyone is still around" he stated calmly. It was similar to what he's encountered before in a few of the wars he helped fight in.

Luscious Morningbrook
Luscious thought to himself that he may as wel enjoy himself, he summoned his scythes and walked up go a severely injured man. He didnt say anything just drive a scythe into his chest deep making him cry out in pain, Luscious couldn't help but smile while he did this. This was his job after all but he loved it all the same, he moved on to the next unlucky soul proceeding go kill anyone he came across which was .mostly severyl injured people who had no chance of survival.
Nafiel Gilsandoral
Nafiel followed Serena to the injured man, upon seeing his wound she knelt down with Serena. "Your hurt....move your hand...let me help"she instructed him, the man hesitantly moved his arm which made him bleed even more. Nafiel placed her hand on his stoma he and began to speak in elvish, her hand began to glow and after a moment she removed her hand. Under her hand the mans flesh was back together and the bleeding was stopped, the wound altogether was gone. -
Serena watched in pure amazement as Nafiel healed the young gentleman's wounds as if nothing had ever happened. "Nafiel,,,," Serena stopped crying and focused on the features of the young man to see if he had regained sense of life yet. "What could have done something to all these people on such a scale?" Serena spoke aloud to the others curious if there was any reason. Serena kept her eyes away from Luscious doing his "job" although he didn't appear to be the least bit sad about the trauma that had occurred. Serena frowned and realized maybe it was because he had become desensitized to it, but that didn't give him a reason to smile now did it? Serena studied his scythe for a few quick moments and saw that it was as thin as air and appeared apparently when it was summoned. The young man began to arouse in Serena's lap and opened his eyes staring up at the two young women in front of him in amazement. "T-Thank you," he managed to cough out the words as Serena helped him sit up and face them directly. "Can you tell us what happened here?" Serena asked searching his kind eyes for any possible answer. "I...I honestly don't remember...I'm sorry. How am I still alive?" He glanced down at his waist where his wound once lay, but was freshly healed thanks to Nafiel's magic.
Serena let out a small sigh as the only survivor wasn't going to be of much help. "We should keep moving, maybe we can prevent the damage from hitting anywhere else," Serena rose to her feet and helped the man do so as well. "What is your name?" He stammered for a moment, "my name is Matthew, did that witch do something to me?" He gestured to Nafiel and Serena quickly shook her head, "no she healed you. She isn't a witch, we don't mean you any harm. We are just trying to figure out what happened to your entire village." Maybe this is what we all came here for? To stop something much stronger than any of us have faced. Serena looked over the horizon and saw that the forest still went deeper. I don't know what I'm going to do about my next meal, but perhaps there's another deer nearby.

The Soldier looked towards Serena at her question. It honestly was a thought he was having. He's seen similarly brutal scenes or large scenes but rarely both. Especially since it seemed like weaponry had been used. "not sure, it's akin to when I saw a base getting cleared out, however it wasn't this brutal, it's usually done quickly and efficiently" he answered as he summoned a squad of medics to check the rest of the bodies. He needed to know if each body has similar overkill injuries. "so far it seems to have mostly been close quarters, rare for things like these"
He moved over to Serena and Nafiel. A Survivor. Magic seemed quite helpful. Now they could get information. He made sure the man could stand properly before patting his shoulder. "Matthew my men are checking for anyone else, how many live in this village" he asked his voice becoming more human than before. He knew that going through this sort of thing could break anyone if not dealt with well enough. "Nafiel there managed to heal you up well, you should probably thank her honestly" he added giving the elf a thumb up after pointing towards her.

Luscious Morningbrook
Luscious grinned as he watched the life leave one womans eyes, his inner voice told him to keep going. He absorbed her soul and his scythe began to glow a bright blue and red, he approached a wounded child and stared down at him. He studied him for a moment or so and then moved on deciding he could live from what he suffered. Luscious morphed into his reaper form his face melting away and his clothes began to become a cloudy black smoke as his ghastly robe appeared and his hood formed over his head. His face was left as a black void the only light was a light blue glow as he moved on to take his next victim.
Nafiel Gilsandoral
Nafiel glanced at Matthew "witch?! I am no witch"she said to him as she removed her hand from his stomache. Her hand was painted red from his blood that got on her hand when she touched his wound, the elf looked around and then looked up at Serena then back down to Matthew. "What could have happened here?...I can still feel their cries for help and their pain....something evil...terribly evil is here......"her eyes met Luscious's reaper form and she pointed to him "that...ungodly figure....is the cause of this death..."she said staring at the reaper who had brought his scythe down into a mans chest the blood splattering the area
-
Serena did her best not to follow Nafiel's pointing finger at Luscious, she didn't really care to see him in his reaper form. Watching Alistair's men she listened to Matthew answer Alistair with, "around 35 people lived in this village. This settlement was called Rosemary as we have a few others that don't benefit from the lush resources of the forest." Matthew studied Nafiel's elf ears curiously and spoke softly when he uttered, "I apologize I've never seen an elf before. Thank you for saving my life, I shall try and repay you in whatever way I can." Serena smiled and realized that it must be difficult to wake up and find that everyone you knew and loved was ripped to shreds and bashed brutally. As a vampire loss of human life was never really a concern, but as a human being it couldn't be anything besides devastating. "Can you send out a squadron of men to scout ahead of us? Perhaps we will find whatever caused this destruction," Serena gestured to Alistair and stood still facing Luscious. Serena drank in his dark appearance and found herself swallowing words she truly wanted to say, instead she proclaimed, "Luscious are you almost done? We should probably make camp soon and duties such as the night shift and food must be taken into account." Serena glanced up at the dreary sky and grabbed the hair tie that she had wrapped around her wrist, wrapping her hair up in a braid to keep it neatly out of her face she rested her hands on her hips. Hunting is going to be interesting, heaven forbid if one of us got jumped while trying to get food.
(I'm not going to make a full fledged form for Matthew simply because he won't be with the group long)

Alistair Fallman
The Soldier nodded at Matthew's answer with another pat on the shoulder. 35 ok, minus him there should be 34 bodies. He saw his medics tending to the torn up bodies trying to fix them up. He had a tradition, innocent lives must be given a respectful burial, no matter the amount. However the medics had noticed similar injuries in them all. That's disturbing to think about.
He turned towards Serena and nodded before whistling and pointing towards further into the forest. A group of seven armed ghosts appeared led by a headless one saluted and charged to the forest followed by the rest of the squad. "I don't require resources, I can keep watch as well as my battalion" he stated as he turned back towards Mathew "how far away are the other settlements, we could help them potentially" he asked him back to his gentler voice.
He looked at Nafiel and then at Luscious. While he was being quite brutal, he couldn't have caused this the injuries didn't match up. He saw some mace marks in the heads. And worryingly some sort of bite mark on one according to his medics. "miss he's doing his job, like a soldier, his is to remove their life, despite horrific is required'" he stated adjusting his mask briefly before he suddenly looked to where he sent his men. "they've found something, large and mutilated looking but with other people, they are currently engaging"

Miss Nafiel's Orphange for the Supernatural (Sign Ups and Roleplay)

Luscious Morningbrook
Luscious looked over at Serena at her question, there was a man on his knees in front of Luscious begging for his life. The man looked at Serena "please help me....I dont want to die"he pleaded as he coughed up blood, the man began to crawl towards Serena, Luscious looked at the man as he crawled towards Serena and walked along with him before he made it halfway he sunk his scythe into his shoulder blade, he pulled it away and brought it back down into his middle back as the blade sunk into his heart. Luscious absorbed the soul as the mans life left his eyes, the reaper morphed back to his human form glaring at the body.
Nafiel Gilsandoral
"Your quite welcome it is nice to meet you"Nafiel responded to Matthew, she looked over at the mans voice and as he crawled towards him. She froze when Luscious struck him with his blade, she watched the males eyes as they filled with pain and desperation. The elf watched the life leave his eyes as the reaper gave the killing blow, "many innocent lives have been taken.......must he take others?" She directed the question to Serena but it was answered by Alistair. She looked up at the ghost and said "one can not abide by their duties"as she looked at Luscious and then to Serena.
-
Serena turned away from the scene that was unfolding before her as soon as Luscious struck the dying man that was calling out to her. I didn't think that Luscious would...do something like that to Nafiel and I. Serena placed a small hand on Nafiel's shoulder to attempt to console her, there wasn't anything they could do. "Where there is life there must be death, can't have darkness without light," Serena quoted a phrase from one of her favorite books that she had reread numerous times. "I believe it would be best if we rested tonight and checked out what Alistair's men discovered tomorrow." Serena looked between everyone in the group as she didn't really designate herself as a leader and she wasn't interested in forcing anyone's hand. Noticing that Luscious was back to his human form must have meant that his "work" was done.
Matthew made a small gesture as he said, "I can go get some firewood to start a fire, I'm sure it'll get cold tonight." Matthew glanced at Luscious and asked, "would you consider helping me?" Serena felt her vision slightly wane as her hunger for blood began to rise in her throat. This place should have more deer, right? Serena's eyes flashed a deep red as she said, "I need to grab a bite real quick. I won't stray too far just in case there is anyone still stalking this village." Matthew glanced around at his disheveled home and sighed. "The other settlements I'm afraid are rather far from Rosemary. We started as a large group of people that went the divide and conquer route, look where that got us," he shook his head as he saw cuts grazing along his arms. "Is there anything that I can do for you Nafiel besides get firewood?" Serena managed to hide a small smile from her face wouldn't it be cute if Matthew had a crush on Nafiel.

Alistair Fallman
The Soldier looked to the elf and nodded. While he agreed partially there sometimes wasn't a choice. He's done horrible things for orders and it still honestly stays in his mind. He looked back to Matthew at his response before letting out a brief noise of thought. He would call in a jeep but the surrounding forest was in the way. They'd have to keep travelling by foot instead until they found a large enough clearing. "thank you Matthew, if you want I could send a couple of my battalion to help you out, keep the animals away" he said in the gentler voice again. He did chuckle at the human asking the elf if she wanted anything. The lad might have developed some feelings for Nafiel. How sweet.
He looked towards Serena and nodded as his medics started to move the bodies into rows. Easier to count and bury. He looked into the trees seeing a couple of deers and some rabbits. And something else he couldn't recognise. "I'll come with you Serena, there's something I want to check. Plus I could grab a couple of rabbits"
-

Luscious Morningbrook
Luscious nods at Matthew's question to help him and turns to head off to collect some firewood, he looks around as he walks at all the destruction and death. He couldnt help but wonder who could have done this,he eventually found some debris that could be burnt and began fo collect it.
Nafiel Gilsandoral
Nafiel looked at Matthew at his question and was silent for a moment, she then replied "there isn't much I require but if you could find me something to nourish my appetite then I would be most grateful." Nafiel gave him a smile as she sat on her knees and looked at him,she could feel the pain of the villagers tug at her heart strings but she did her best fo ignore it -
Matthew nodded at Nafiel and said, "I'm sure that Luscious can handle getting the firewood along with Alistair's men." Matthew nodded at Alistair's offer and thanked him within a few moments before heading out in an attempt to hunt. Serena studied Alistair for a moment before saying, "If you'd like to join me feel free to, but I assure you I can catch rabbits quickly." Serena placed a small pat on Matthew's back before turning to head into the forest. Alistair sent his commands to his men as the two of them began to embark in the opposite direction of the village and the deep sea of trees before them. Serena closed her eyes for a moment and listened to the breathing of the forest, there were at least four rabbits near them in the patch that they had wandered into. "So Alistair, did you have anyone that you were planning on coming home to after the war?" Serena's eyes flashed a scarlet red as she zipped through the forest and captured the first rabbit. It was quite small in size and must have been the runt of the litter. "If you don't mind, this will be plenty enough for me." She raised the small bundle of fur to her mouth and began to suck on the neck letting its juicy blood flood her body. "You must have had something helping you keep going," Serena lowered the rabbit once it was fully drained and listened intently for the next. Serena zipped towards the next two rabbits and quickly broke their necks before handing them to Alistair with a smile. "I must admit, I'm happy that someone smart like you was sent here to help us with your men."
Matthew sighed as he entered the forest Nafiel is hungry, I can do this. I just need....a stick. Matthew scanned the forest's grounds and began collecting sticks, some that were too long, others that were just stubs until he found the one he was looking for. Taking a small knife from his village he began to break down and sharpen the stick. I can't believe she would heal a random stranger like...me. I guess it is because she's powerful and kind, much like that other female warrior.. Although it's obvious that Nafiel is the strongest member of their group. Matthew continued wandering around with his stick and attempted to keep his eyes peeled for any sort of creature. Unfortunately for Matthew he didn't come across a single piece of meat to present to Nafiel. With a glum look clear across his face, Matthew began to head home to his village when he saw that Nafiel was kneeling down on the ground waiting for more firewood before building a strong fire. "Nafiel, what is your home like?" Matthew approached her and let a small chuckle leave him as he gestured to the village, "you know what my home looks like now."

Luscious Morningbrook
Luscious collected as much firewood as he could carry and came back to their temporary camp,he set the wood down and then sat down to start a fire. He listened to Matthew's question to Nafiel and was wondering if the elf would open up to him, he eventually got a flame started and he began to feed the fire little pieces at a time. He sat back and looked as the fire burned,he didn't really miss his home he never really had anyone at all. He was a loner back in his world, besides who wants to be friends with death. He gave a sigh and waited for Serena to come back, there was something about the way she looked at him he could feel she wanted to say something to him but what could it be was beyond his knowledge.
Nafiel Gilsandoral
"it is a village just like this one except a bit bigger, it deep in the forest right next to a river. I am from the Slyvaria tribe, my tribe is very powerful especially in the magic arts. We follow pacifist practices and rarely ever is there a quarrel that turns into physical violence......my home is quite the beauty especially the sunrises and sunsets.....my family....and...friends..."Nafiel responded to him although she eventually trailed off as she began to feel homesick and the longing to be home tugged on her heart. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she realized she might never see them again, the elf's ears drooped as she became upset. She looked away from Matthew as tears rolled down her cheek. -
Matthew stammered as he opened his mouth, "O-oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset Nafiel, I was just curious how someone as beautiful as you ended up here. No what I meant to say-" Matthew stopped talking and hung his head low knowing that it wasn't doing him any good. Nafiel needed something to cheer her up, but in the heat of the moment he wasn't sure what would do the trick. "Sounds like we were almost cut from the same cloth. I feel sorrow for the loss of my village like you wouldn't believe. I was fully convinced when we were all attacked that no one would survive, but I am truly grateful that you saved me." He raised his hand to hers and felt her soft skin brush against his fingertips. "You must know that you will see your family again, because unlike my village, your home sounds marvelous and if your village is anything like mine was. It was a huge community of people who cared for you and would do anything to find you again." He studied the tears streaming down her face and turned her head slightly back to meet his eyes, "please know that your family is looking for you and they don't plan on letting you go anytime soon. I will help do whatever it takes to get you home. Besides, I kind of need to see your village and listen to you gloat about how amazing it is again," Matthew's heart was beating faster than any drum he had heard before. Hopefully his words had instilled some form of perseverance inside of her, despite having known Nafiel for only a few hours he was confident that she was a fighter and built with something much stronger than he was.
(Not going to write for Serena this post just to give Alistair some time to interact with her)

Alistair Fallman
The Soldier watched as Serena dealt with the rabbit hunting. He sensed a nearby deer. It's spirit was easy to locate. He drew his pistol quickly and shot it through the eye. He would have his men pick up the carcass. The pistol was put away as he held the rabbits. "no I didn't, my brother was my only family after my sister died, he was deployed with me" he said calmly as he knelt down drawing a old knife. He slashed the rabbits down the chest before pulling the skin off. He remembered his sister teaching him this. He took to it quite quickly. "however my brother had died in battle, it...broke me, led to my death, I blew myself up to take out the men who did it" he added as he put the rabbits, wrapped in their fur, into a satchel at his side.
He walked over to the deer and crouched down to pick it up. It wasn't too heavy. Similar enough to when he had to carry the injured back to base. He looked towards Serena and let out a small but more human chuckle. "thank you, you're not to bad yourself, you've taken to a leader role well" he said bank in his gentler voice. It had been a while since he talked to anyone normally. "I would've liked to have been able to meet you as a human, could've been good pals"
-
Serena smiled and even laughed at his comments, Alistair was still very much human despite being a ghost. His story was tragic and Serena understood what it was like to lose someone important to you changing your entire life. For her that person would have been her older brother Drew, but they rarely saw one another and the fact that they were both vampires meant she had little to worry about him. "C'mon let's head back to camp with our treats," she watched as he easily handled the deer and slung it over his shoulders, Serena carried the few rabbits she hadn't handed him and attached them around her belt for them to easily hang. "We can still be friends now, starting with some friendly advice." She let out a deep breath as she continued, "I feel like there's some things I need to say to Luscious, but I'm not sure if I should. Do you have any advice?" She looked into his eyes and saw that they were full of hidden emotions she couldn't detect. Alistair was almost like a walking bad and good cop trick in one person, he often changed the tone of his voice depending on which one he was and Serena had to admit she liked that about him. Serena held her breath as she continued, "i don't want to put him on the outs considering we don't know what destroyed that village and we are probably going to need everyone's help to take it down, but" she paused for a moment and added, "I just feel like I'm holding my tongue when i really shouldn't. The way he treated Nafiel and myself earlier, was completely uncalled for." Serena felt the rabbits rustling at her waist and laughed, "maybe I'm just overthinking this. By the way, I doubt Matthew was able to find anything after we cleaned this patch of trees of animals, think we can spare a rabbit for the brave sweetheart of Nafiel?" She teasingly raised a rabbit in front of his face and lowered it again with a grin.

Alistair Fallman
Alistair had paused for a second at the vampire's request for advice. According to his brother he was never the best with it, in either his Alistair or Soldier mindset. Apparently he was too blunt. He turned towards the vampire and let out a small sigh. "honestly I can see where you are coming from with that, his actions where frankly...a bit much" he started as he shifted the deer on his shoulder. It had started to flop over in the wrong way. "however you're also right in that he might be needed, he was apparently brought here somehow as well, whatever massacred the town had numbers" he added holding his hand out as a swirling purple ball of energy formed over it.
A trinket he found in the village. A spirit of one of the attackers. "one of the spirits of one of the attackers, however this isn't like anything I've seen before, it's almost melted and there wasn't a body at all, it was floating there, Luscious might be able to tell us more" he stated briefly switching to The Soldier mindset. A potential problem. Possibly connected to the mutilated creature his men found and where currently tailing. However he dispersed the spirit and looked back in the direction of the village. He hated mysteries.
He let out another sigh before rolling his shoulders briefly. He let out a small chuckle and nodded to Serena's last question. The lad needed some help. He probably wasn't good with hunting like Serena or killing like Alistair. "ah yes I belive that would work, it might get lover boy some more interest, I can get his escorts to guide him more towards it" he answered back to the normal human voice.
He sent a message to the escorts to gesture in the direction of the patch.
-
"Uhh Nafiel this is kind of embarrassing, but I didn't-" "Wait up for Serena and Alistair when they picked up the rabbits I got for you," with a smile on her face Serena handed Matthew a rabbit and offered another to Nafiel. "Yeah," Matthew smiled as he attempted to thank Alistair and Serena for making him look good. "Whaddya ya say we start cooking these bad boys up?" He smiled at Nafiel hopeful that her mood would have turned around by now.
Serena took in a deep breath and made her way over to Luscious who was nestled next to a roaring fire. The firelight was dancing off his skin and his hair was neatly parted to the side as he looked up to see Alistair and herself come back from the hunting expedition. "Can i speak with you for a few moments?" Serena brushed back a strand of her hair and looked at Luscious with her deep emerald eyes. Everything that she had on her chest were things that she needed to get off. Alistair had given her the confidence that if they spoke in private she'd feel a whole lot better about the day.
