This land was unfamiliar, those green things weren't from anywhere he's been. They seemed to have a crude civilisation from what he saw of their attempted siege on the town. Before he slaughtered them in response.

The soldier knocked his shovel against a tree leveling a small slice in the side. A marker. The forest seemed to twist around every so often, he could hear it. He focused ahead trying to get towards what he sensed a while back. He wanted to know where he was as one moment he was fighting alongside his country and the next he was in this place. Now he needed to know what he needed to do in order to get back home.

He stopped when he heard a growling noise from nearby. He dropped the shovel briefly to get a better grip on it. He stayed still before a large wolf lunged at him. As soon as the wolf got close he slammed his shovel into it's neck and made it fall to the ground. He finished it off by stomping his heavy boot on the shovel blade. He removed the shovel before carrying on. He needed to finish his current task.

  • Serena took in a deep breath as she opened her eyes Where am I? I was just sitting in my living room enjoying a bit of coffee, the doorbell rang and then poof. After running the events through her mind again and again meticulously checking if she was missing something, which she was not, she began to observe her surroundings. Lacing her arms was her favorite black leather jacket that hugged her figure rather well, at least I was dressed heaven forbid if I wasn't. Serena's thoughts were interrupted as soon as she caught scent of fresh blood in the air. Quickly moving on her feet she found a wolf's corpse crushed into the ground and fresh blood staining bits of its fur. Well this is a great introduction to this place Serena studied the corpse closely in hopes of finding a weapon, but sadly there was none to be seen. Directly on the wolf's neck had appeared to be a deep gouge of some kind, but it was obviously a one sided battle. Serena remained quiet so as not to attract any attention to herself. Clearing her mind so the blood wouldn't active her fangs, she began to dig into the earth to bury the corpse. The dirt easily got stuck underneath her fingernails, the soil was soft as if it had rained recently in the area.

I couldn't have been the only one who ended up here, right? Serena wouldn't admit it, but she had a small fear of ending up alone. Considering she was a vampire all she had was time on her hands, but with no one to spend that time with she was sure that she would go mad. Serena continued digging and once the corpse had a big enough hole, she folded her hands and prayed for the wolf to find peace in the afterlife. She may not have known who attacked it, but it was clear that whoever had ended its life was nearby. After her prayer was completed all of the blood in her body became ice as she heard a rustling near her, perhaps they weren't as far away as she thought.

The Soldier had stopped when he heard some sort of scraping. Digging. He recognised this sound from digging out foxholes and trenches during a fight. He reached into his coat pocket getting a grip on his pistol. Could summon a stronger weapon but it might be nothing.

He turned around and followed his tree markings towards the sound. He stopped briefly before reaching where he dealt with the wolf. He could sense the remains of it's soul still floating around. It would probably soon be added to his battalion of spirits. He went into a line of thick bushes, his phasing made it easier to go through it.

He stopped when he saw...a oddly dressed woman praying over the location the wolf's body was previously. Probably buried it. He met a few soldiers who cares enough about animals to do similar. One was even in his squad in life. However this person might know where he was, she had a odd spirit. Different to a normal human's. He exited the bush with his pistol in one hand and his shovel in the other. Secretly he had a group of riflemen ready to be summoned.

He pointed his pistol towards the woman calmly. At this point he knew how to focus on his own objectives. "Name, Purpose, Where Is This Location" he said calmly as the preparation to summon his riflemen made his ghostly aura start to show itself. Might help him get answers easier.

  • Serena turned around to see that the gentleman with the booming voice and he was anything but ordinary. His greeting was short, to the point, and emotionless. Despite having a pistol pointed at her she wasn’t scared of death, Serena took a deep breath and replied, “My name is Serena, I happened upon this dead animal and to give its spirit a chance to find peace I buried it and am saying a prayer. As to where we are, your guess is as good as mine.” Serena drank in his appearance and noted the ghostly aura that was trickling along his body. “Are you...dead?” She felt weird asking such a question, but at this point anyone could be dead with where she was.

Serena felt a cold breeze whip across her back and caused her body to shiver a tad. “I opened the door to my apartment in London and the next thing I knew I was here,” Serena made a vague gesture with her hands to the forest they were in. “How long have you been here for?” Her mind was racing at the possibilities of someone dead spending an eternity in this area. This couldn’t have meant that she was dead? Serena locked the thought away in a box it wasn’t going to do her any good to consider that option. Rising to her feet she thought she felt the presence of someone else in the forest, but she couldn’t quite pin point who or where.

  • Luscuious looked around at the unfamiliar terrain, "where the hell am I now?"he muttered to himself. He was just in the middle of taking someone's soul when he somehow appeared in the weird landscape, he began to walk deeper into the trees and upon hearing voices the reaper quickly made his way towards them. He stepped out from the trees revealing himself to Allister and Serena his black hair still neatly groomed. He wore his leather jacket with a grey shirt underneath as he inspected the other two, he paid close attention to how long they had left but was surprised to find that their time was up years ago and yet here they are.

Nafiel woke up on the ground and slowly sat up, her elf ears twitched a little at the sound of voices. Her white hair shone in the sunlight and her amber eyes glistened, she looked around this new place. She pulled her hood up and stood up "I could have swore I was just at home.....such a shame i had just found that poor little fox in that trap....I do hope she's ok"she thought to herself. Nafiels ears twitched again at the sound of voices and she decided to investigate, she slowly made her way towards the sounds. She stopped and peeked through the bushes at the three being in front of her, she decided to wait to see if they were friendly before showing herself so she waited and watched.

  • “You’re death,” Serena spoke with confidence as she gestured at Luscious, “I know because I’ve read about you in books,” her confidence dwindled as she studied his appearance. He wore a leather jacket just like she did and was practically drenched in black. Her eyes flickered away from him when she thought she saw pointed ears sticking over a bush that was near them. “Well now that we’re starting to form an interesting gang, does anyone know what we are all doing here?” She didn’t bother to ask how others got here because she presumed that it was similar to her own findings. Serena felt her head go dizzy for a moment and realized that it had been around eight hours since her last hit. The figures of Luscious and Alistar started to drift in front of her as if she was about to pass out. “Shit...you found this wolf. Have you seen any other animals in this forest?” She turned to Alistar in hopes of him supplying her with good news.

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier had raised a hidden away eyebrow at the woman's response. She seemed calmer than most. He honestly had to respect that. He lowered his pistol soon after she answered his question. She was supposedly in a similar situation. "I have been dead since the great war, I've been here for 2 hours and 10 minutes" he answered her in a similar short and emotionless way to his question.

He nearly aimed his pistol at the newcomer but after he saw that the newcomer had seemingly no spirit he was more curious instead. This man gave off an aura he was familiar with on the battlefield. The Dead. He put the pistol in his pocket but kept his shovel at the ready. In case anything or any of these people tried to attack him.

He sensed someone nearby causing him to snap his head towards a bush. Another inhuman soul. Similar to one but slightly different. He turned back towards the newcomer, the reaper apparently. He wouldn't know he never met one, he just woke up and continued the good fight when he died. He looked towards Serena calmly at both of her questions. "no idea why we're here, spotted a couple of deers, smaller wolves or bears" he responded secretly summoning a rifleman to try to make the one hiding in the bush show herself.

Most likely due to it's decayed and torn up appearance mixed with it shaking the bush with it's singular hand.

  • Luscious looked at the red hair women and responded "you are correct....I am death"as he looked at the soldier thing. He looked as if he was not if this world or Luscious's own, more like he was of the past. He said "well I'm as dumbfounded as you two are,one moment I'm reaping a soul and then next I'm here."

Nafiel flinched a bit at the sight of the rifle and hesitantly walked out of her hiding spot, the elf stood up straight although she was a tad shorter than the others. She looked at them with luminous whitish grey eyes and didnt say a thing since she did not speak anything but elvish. She pulled down her hood to reveal her white hair and pointed ears.

  • Serena let out a breath of surprise at the elf in their midst she couldn't recall the last time she had seen someone of such high descent. Opening her mouth to speak with her was stopped when she felt her stomach rumble. As quick as a flash of light she began to race through the forest and hunt for something to eat, she didn't know if any humans would be joining them but she didn't want to take any chances. Listening intently she heard the gentle breathing of a buck that was grazing in the forest,

The buck had a calm composure and probably never experienced the adrenaline of being hunted, having to run as if your life depended on it, no matter. Serena appeared behind it in an instant and unleashed her fangs upon its throat. Her vision became stable as she felt the fresh blood enter her system, slowly but surely she had grown accustomed to the taste over time. Within minutes the buck had been completely drained of blood and Serena wiped her lips of the crimson coloring and headed back towards where the rag tag team of supernatural individuals were. Parting through the bushes she cleared her throat and studied Alistar, "so what's our next move? Why would we all have been brought here? It couldn't have been to play twister or tell ghost stories."

  • Alastair

The Ghost looked at the hider and wanted to tilt his head honestly. If he was his younger self he would probably freak out a bit. A honest to God elf. Despite his curiosity he kept his rifleman ready, out of security. She could possibly attempt an attack if it relents. "name, rank, purpose" he said towards the elf in an almost emotionless manner. Standard operation for his old squad when encountering someone.

He turned back towards Serena calmly before looking around the area, specifically the life force of the surroundings. It was more lively than the battlegrounds he's been in. However there was something else around, some odd type of energy interfering with it. "I have no idea, I just got an urge to head north, like a signal" he stated pointing north.

  • Luscious sighed a chuckled a bit at the soldiers command to the elf. "Calm down old timer,I'm sure she means no harm. She could have hurt us a long time ago...besides she has no idea what your saying, she doesn't speak english but a form of elvish"he said. He may be arrogant and stubborn but that didnt mean he was dumb, then again he can see everything about a person since he was death.

Nafiel tilted her head at the weird masked mans jibbersish and spoke "what do you mean?" Of course it wasnt in the shared language but in her native tongue, she only spoke elvish. Nafiel knew she could learn the new dialect but to do that would mean she would have to kiss one of them since that was the quickest way and one of her abilities, she definitely didnt want to do that to the masked man and the other male seemed like he would hurt her. The elf turned to the female and approached her, her necklace that was intertwined in her hair shone in the light. Nafiel gestured to Serena to stay calm as she leaned up a bit and pressed her lips to Serena's, after a moment she pulled away "sorry but this was the fastest way for me to learn your language"she said in a warm, silky and smooth voice in english.

  • Serena smiled and nodded, "don't worry I've come across your people before." Serena studied her silky hair and the hand crafted braid that had weaved a necklace through her strands, what a powerful species to say the least. Serena couldn't resist a small laugh when she realized that the elf kissed her because she was the winner out of all three of them which was humorous in her eyes. "Then let's head North," Alistair may have been dead, but he spoke as if he was a robot. Emotionless and blunt with his word choice, it reminded Serena of her young nephew, Johnny, who often repeated the same handful of words over and over again. On the other hand Luscious was smart, calm, and perceptive she couldn't believe that she was lucky enough to meet him, well considering she was an immortal vampire she might of have never gotten the chance. The elf was probably the wildcard of the bunch and helpful with magic that they couldn't even begin to fathom, Serena noted that she would have to ask her about where her tribe's history.

Serena felt around in the pockets of her Maroon leather jacket, but couldn't feel anything in particular that came over with her. Oh well guess they were going to have to work together with what little they had. Serena considered asking Alistair his story about the war, but decided it may seem rude to ask someone how they died. Keeping her mouth shut, Serena began to move forward North of where they were all standing and turned to see if anyone else would object.

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier glared at The Reaper from under his mask before shaking his head briefly. He had no idea what elvish was, probably a language. He did flinch slightly ad the elf suddenly kissed the first girl. He honestly never had a problem with that stuff but it was so sudden to him. However the elf began to speak in English. Some sort of knowledge transfer. He looked at the elf again but dispersed his rifleman. "I had asked what is your name, I've never met an elf before"

He turned towards Serena and nodded before following her north. She was strange compared to normal humans. He could sense a spirit but one torn into by something, like it's been stitched together by something. He only saw it once. A battle in a forest where he encountered a man wearing the skin of someone else. Had taken a while to kill. He looked closer at Serena before letting out a rare chuckle. "what are you miss, your spirit is stitched up, like a Skinwalker I fought" he asked calmly, he could talk much easier as he realised this would be his squad for now.

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious looked as the elf kissed the other girl and when she spoke english he chuckled a bit at this. "Looks like your quite lucky, not everyone gets the honor of kissing a elf"he said to Serena with a smirk, he then listened to her suggestion and nods in agreement "sounds good I guess"he replied. The reaper looked at the soldiers and suddenly recognized him "hey...I know you....I remember taking your life back in that war....seems I forgot you soul huh?"he said with a arrogant smirk on his face.

    (Hope this is ok)

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiels looked up at Serena "thank you for your forgiveness"she replied as she then turned to Allistair. "My name is Nafiel Gilsandoral"she responded to him,she looked at him trying to read his aura but he didnt give off one. She was a little confused at first but then realized what he was but she decided not to say anything yet. "Why are we going north?"she asked Serena her whitish grey eyes showing practically no emotions whatsoever.

  • Serena smiled as she thought she detected a note of curiosity from the elf's voice as well as Alistair. "We're heading North simply because Alistair said he felt something urging him to head that way, perhaps a power surge." Serena felt a few strands of her scarlet hair sticking out from around her ears. "I'm curious if you can figure it out Alistair," Serena never liked to admit that she was a vampire. To be human was a dream she held when she was a young vampire, but death and blood had a way of beating it out of you. As the years went by and she grew older she understood that if it was meant to be then it would. Serena tried to keep her face cool when she saw Luscious throw a smirk in her direction. Everything from his laugh to his calm and collected demeanor had her heart racing. Perhaps it was the fact that being death he never had to worry about losing his own life, but rather found some way to live with constantly taking others. A shudder went down her spine as she considered such a thought, the only death she was truly comfortable with was animals for food and she wasn't sure if she'd ever get over the loss of a human life.

Serena tugged on the cuffs of her leather jacket and fixed the few strands of hair that were bothering her. Holding back a small sigh she responded to Alistair, "I am a vampire, I'm sure you've run into some of my kind. Please know I don't condone any of their actions and I apologize for any trouble they may have caused." Serena's hazel eyes turned to a soft grey as she felt herself recounting times when she saw vampires feeding off of wounded soldiers. Ones that were so overloaded on painkillers that they wouldn't be able to tell you that someone came by their bedside that wasn't a nurse. Unable to contain her curiosity Serena glanced at Nafiel and asked, "Do you practice any of your people's magic?"

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier looked at the reaper briefly before nodding. He was killed but instead of having his soul removed he felt an overwhelming rage. Soon after he has reformed he had snapped a soldier's neck with a stomp. "you did, I suspect the surrounding rage kept me around" he stated before giving him a brief salute that tapped against his helmet a couple of times, a old joke from his squad "trust me you did your job mostly right, I'm still dead"

He looked towards Nafiel calmly, she seemed quiet. Maybe a bit surprised about his status. "I'm not bothered by being dead, means I can keep fighting for my country" he states as he summoned a couple of riflemen to scout ahead north. He felt something nearby, possibly a settlement.

He let out another chuckle at Serena's response. He heard so many stories of Vampires but hasn't met one. Ironic for someone who's become a ghost story around the military. "honestly no I haven't, oddities like me, the skinwalker or you are rare where I'm from" he stated remembering how he felt when he encountered the skinwalker. Curious but kept his unphased attitude. "I do belive your statement however, otherwise from what I've been told you would've tried to drain Nafiel"

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious nods at Allistair and follows Serena as they headed north, he kept quiet mostly due to the fact he did not really have much to say. He kept mostly to the rear letting his thoughts consume him for the moment, "why are we here? There has to be a reason all four of us are here"he thought. He quickly shook his head and then allowed himself to think about the others, Allistair was ok a little too tense but that's normal for someone of war he could be manipulated possibly. His thoughts then went to Serena, she had a sharp mind most likely from living a long life full of experiences. She was also quite the beauty if he was being honest, she would be a good ally to have.

Luscious's mind went to Nafiel, she is certainly the most powerful among them being a elf meant she had a vast amount of magical powers. He certainly didn't want to get on her bad side, she seemed closed off and not wanting to speak much about herself. Luscious shook the thought away and let it rest at the back of his mind as he walked.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiel fell into step beside Serena as they walked,at the sound of her question she responded "yes, I have mastered all aspects of my peoples magic, besides one which is the spell to give life. No one in my tribe has performed it successfully and I doubt anyone ever will." The elf looked at Serena and then turned her eyes back to the direction they were walking, she seemed calm and collected but a little off as if she was hiding something.

(I kinda want to do a love plot with Nafiel, anyone interested in plotting it?)

  • Serena's body shivered at Nafiel's words it must be troubling to see someone you love slowly die and have no power to help them escape from their fate. Shaking the thought off Serena replied, "we're all tax payers in this world. Death is the one tax we all pay eventually," Serena glanced at Luscious and quickly whisked her eyes back in front of her. I have so many questions for him if he only knew. Serena's eyes narrowed as she stopped dead in her tracks, rising into the dark sky above them was a plume of smoke from somewhere nearby. "It seems we may have company yet," Serena smiled as she continued to walk forward. "What war did you fight in Alistair? Unless it is uncomfortable for you to speak of it," pressing people for more information was something that Serena often did, but in her eyes information meant strength. She was happy that the four of were getting along and there didn't seem to be any major conflict in their path yet.

What will we do if there's no one there? What if the smoke means there's a whole settlement of people who won't take us in simply because we are supernatural? Serena did her best to keep her worries to herself, they wouldn't be of any use to anyone else in the group anyways.

  • Alistair Fallman

The Soldier looked around himself keeping an eye out for any nearby spirits. He has only spotted smaller docile ones so far. Oddly not a good sign despite how it seemed. There usually had to be an aggressive or 'apex' spirit around in most areas be it human or beast. This was slightly disturbing.

He looked towards Nafiel and nodded calmly. He has seen people die slowly and had no way of helping them. His old sergeant was one. Sometimes the spirit could still feel their blood on his hands. "death is expected both in and out of war, you learn not to be phased by it" he stated clenching his hand briefly. That was only half true. "however I can see why people want to prevent it, it's not a nice experience for anyone"

Alistair looked towards the smoke and internally paused for a second. Conflict or civilisation. Could be either. Hopefully his scouts would bring back information of either. They where quite resilient members of his battalion. He turned his head towards Serena while resting his shovel on his shoulder. He might as well, he had already accepted it. "I fought in the Great War with the British army, it was later called World War 1 in history books" he answered remembering finding the book, helped him tell the general year "I was with my brother in the same squad, he fell from a lucky shot"

  • Luscious Morningbrook

Luscious felt a shiver of happiness go down his spine as he smelt the familiar scent of death from the village not many but some. He felt a smirk glide across his face and he said "seems like something wrong is happening over there....I can feel it"as he looked at the village. He couldn't help but be happy he was death after all and killing was sorta his thing, he took in the familiar sensation and exhaled slowly. He took a step forward and said "I'm really interested to see what is going on though"as he looked to the village.

    Nafiel Gilsandoral

Nafiel replied "I do appreciate your empathy miss, it hurts my heart to think of those I once held dear are now one with Aleesia"as she walked with her. She stopped in her tracks at the sight of the smoke, she flinched a bit "pain.....I can feel their pain...and suffering...their crying out for help...."she whispered as she stared out into the village. The elf stood still as her eyes clouded over as she used her magic to see what lies ahead of them.
