It was the sound of the monsters that had woken the young she-cat's eyes jolted open and she sat up in her nest before a sigh slip from her maw and shook her head, there was no point in her sleeping now. Perhaps she could use this time to collect herbs, her gaze flicking towards the ever depleting herbs and frowned a bit. Stretching a bit the young she-cat slipped out of the medicine cat's den and into the clearing of the camp.

She noticed Hollowstar who was looking at the freshkill pile. She began to approach the leader and a smile appeared upon her maw, a gentle look in her gaze, though a tired look she made sure to have a warm look. "Hello Hollowstar" she greeted their leader with a warm tone in her voice. Her tail swished in greeting.

"Let me help"

She listened to her leaders words and nodded softly "Yes, they seem to be getting closer" she told her with a soft frown appearing upon her maw, and she had to admit that her joking about them either getting use to the loud sound of the monsters that seemed to get closer everyday or no rest was a bit amusing but concerning as well "Well, I hope that we could start sleeping through it" she explained to her and then her gaze flicked over at Sweetleaf who also greeted Hollowstar before she was requested to make a hunting patrol

Her gaze brightened at Sweetleaf asking her to go hunting and she thought that it would be a perfect time to search for herbs and she nodded towards the warrior "I just hope Im not going to drag you guys down" she told her kindly with a kind smile upon her maw and a flick of her tail agreeing to join her on the hunt.

SUNLEAP —

Sunleap lay sprawled out in his nest as he slept. From the way he twitched every so often, it was evident that he was having a dream. In his dream, the fiery tom was quickly climbing up the trunk of a great oak tree. A satisfied purr rumbled in his chest as he reached the top. Perched on a branch, he let his gaze wander over the forest. I'd do anything to protect this place, he thought. It's our home after all. As he admired the view, a loud screech assaulted his senses and the tree suddenly went crashing down, taking him with it. He startled awake with a gasp and looked around, his ears folded back.

WHISPERPAW —

Like everyone else, the unpleasant noise had woken up the gray apprentice. He sat up with a yawn, blinking the sleep away from his eyes. His mind was still fuzzy as he took in his dark surroundings. "Great StarClan, it's barely sunup," he mumbled. He settled back down and curled up in a ball, sweeping his tail over his nose.

the calico warrior had awoken to find her younger half-sister, fallenshadow, curled up in her side. despite having her own nest in the medicine cat's den, the young feline would sneak into the warriors den and fall asleep next to the older warrior. flickerstorm guessed the recent death of sunshine, the young feline's mother, had taken a toll on her. slowly, she pulled herself away from the sleeping cat, shook out her long fur, and padded softly out of the den. she had just exited when the sound of the monster rang out, and she knew half the clan would have woken up.

"I'VE GOT SKELETONS THAT COMING OUT THE CLOSET, THE HANDS AROUND MY THROAT DON'T WANT ME TO BE HONEST. IF YOU KNOW MY SINS, WILL YOU STILL TRUST ME? IF I LET YOU IN, WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME?"

FALLENSHADOW

not long after the older warrior made her exit, fallenshadow woke up. she sat silently in her sister's nest, grooming her black and white patched fur. she would often sneak her way into the warrior den, it was so common that most of the other warriors were used to seeing the medicine cat apprentice. the sound of the monster started the skittish feline, however it seemed to affect a nearby sleeping tom much more than her. slowly, she made her way toward sunleap until she was at his side, gently resting her tail on his back "it was just a monster," the soft-spoken she-cat whispered to the startled tom.

"AFRAID OF THE BIG, WIDE WORLD. SHE GREW UP WITHIN HER CASTLE WALLS. NOW AND THE SHE TRIED TO RUN, AND THEN ON THE NIGHT WITH THE SETTING SUN, SHE WENT IN THE WOODS AWAY, SO AFRAID, ALL ALONE."

LITTLEFLOWER

the queen was deep in sleep until the sound of the monster started her awake. not only was she rudely awoken, but so had her kits been. she pulled them close to her, slowly grooming each of them to calm them, cooing words of comfort. she nudged each of them to their feet before getting to hers and herding them toward the exit of the den and out into the open. "see now, nothing is wrong. it was just a little noise, it won't hurt you." 'i hope, at least.'

"PEOPLE SAY I'M INDECISIVE. IF ONE DAY I HATE IT, THEN THE NEXT I'LL PROBABLY LIKE IT."

MAGPIEPAW

the apprentice woke with a start, jumping in his nest and knocking into his litter mate. he earn a hard shove from his sister, grunting as he moved away from asterpaw. grumbling, he pushed himself to him paws. he found his mother, littleflower, with his younger siblings, reassuring the young kits that they were safe. 'maybe emberflame is awake somewhere,' the apprentice thought to himself.

"AND HE'LL RACE FOR MILES THROUGH THE NIGHT, HE RUNS BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE CANNOT HIDE."

ASTERPAW

the noise wasn't what woke asterpaw from her sleep. instead, it had been her brother crashing into her. with a low growl, she shoved him away before laying her head back down on her paws. she heard him grumble as he left. with a snort, she closed her eyes to attempt to get just a little more sleep before she was forced to get up.

"STUPID BOY THINK THAT I NEED HIM, I GO COLD LIKE CHANGE THE SEASONS, I GO RED HOT LIKE A DEMON, I GO GHOST FOR NO DAMN REASON."

ROSEPAW

rosepaw was already awake long before the monster woke half the clan. he was an early riser and tended to wake up before the rest of the clan did. he laid in his nest, eyes moving from one apprentice to the other. finally, his eyes snagged on the two litter mates as asterpaw shoved her brother, a low rumble like laugh escaping rosepaw.

"OH NO, I THINK I'M CATCHING FEELINGS, AND I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS EMPATHY I FEEL."

WHISPERPAW —

One of his eyes cracked open slightly when he heard a low growl and a grumble followed by quiet laughter. Magpiepaw was retreating out of the den and Asterpaw had settled back down. His whiskers twitched with amusement as he recalled the rough shove he had heard before. Poor Magpiepaw, he thought.

SUNLEAP —

Just as he realized it was only a dream, he felt a light touch on his shoulder and directed his troubled gaze toward the source. Ah, Fallenshadow. Sunleap recognized her soft voice and it had somewhat of a calming affect on him. He gave a sheepish dip of his head as he thought about how startled he got. "Sorry," he mewed. "I was having a good dream until that stupid monster decided to wake up the whole forest." He was about to thank her for her concern when he heard his name being called.

Immediately standing up, he smiled at the young she-cat and waved his tail in a friendly goodbye. "Looks like I have to go. See you later, Fallenshadow. Hope you have a great day!" He bounded out of the den and over to where Sweetleaf, Hollowstar, and Snowtuft were gathered. "Good morning everyone," he greeted.

A smile appeared upon her maw as she listened to their words and dipped her head towards Sweetleaf, grateful that they were okay with the medicine cat tagging along. "I'll do my best to keep up" she promised the warrior before watching her leave to go get a few warriors from the warrior's den. Her gaze flicked over towards Hollowstar briefly before looking back at her clan and her tail swished softly. She had a bit of concern due to the sounds of monsters that seemed to get closer and closer to where they lived and she just prayed to starclan that they wouldn't get closer.

"Let me help"
