Apathy and Ignorance
。・゚゚・ Secunda was enjoying herself in the snow. she'd walked to relatively clear space and had spent the last hour or so just being a kid in the snow. She rolled around, collecting the comforting cold around herself like a matted blanket (but cold) and after she'd sufficiently ruined any chance of tracking her paw prints back home (whoops) she set to work on a snow replica of herself. See, she was open to doing time-consuming nonsense like this if she was doing it without prompt. She got the four oval paws down before she started to feel the chill. Maybe she should stop, but she really wanted to put her helmet on her snowcat's head. She rolled a ball to between the two front legs and was working on the back circle when a loud noise came from the distance.
Ooh boy, maybe Se shouldn't be up here. She stumbled back, fighting her natural flight response. Paranoid. It was a rabbit or something. Hey, her task this week was hunting! But her priorities were not the clan at the moment. She looked around and noticed her tracks were covered in mysteriously Secunda-shaped markings. Well, what parts actually had snow, it didn't snow that much and this was just a very drifty field. Uh-oh. What if she never makes it back? That rabbit might be her only source of food until the snow melts and she can find her way back home! It was about her own survival now! She dropped into a hunter's crouch and slunk in the direction of the sound, but there was nothing here. It probably ran away. Now she had nothing! And it was really fricking cold. She would die out here for sure! She sniffed and fell down to the ground in despair. Then she sniffed again, a smell double-take, if you will.
Finally she realized she had her own scent trails. She followed it for a while before she started to lose it in the snow, at which point she found herself at the bridge. Oh gods, she was saved! "Euge!" she exclaimed excitedly before crossing. She felt a wave of relief when she closed in on the town. She ran forward and didn't actually stop until pretty far in before shaking off most of the looser snow (Some matted in clumps to her long fur) and announcing "I am back! I am... not dead!" She had been gone for approximately two hours.
