  • —— FLAXENGLARE ——

    Soon to be King

After all that drama with Wolfpaw's mother, Flaxenglare figured the kid could use a win - or, at least, a way to vent some frustrations. I mean, Flax knew he always enjoyed pouring himself into his training when he was angry...perhaps that's why his mentor continued to get switched out? "Hey, kid, training time" Flaxenglare called into the apprentice's den before heading for the camp entrance to wait. As he did, he reflected absentmindedly on the sort of relationship the two had - a thought that had become quite bothersome in it's constant presence. For the most part, Wolfpaw was the least annoying apprentice he'd ever had to deal with, so that was a good point on him. Definetly understood Flaxen's humor better than most- though that was probably because childish humor and children went well together. As of late though, they'd grown a rather bit...closer...than just like-minded adolescents. Most likely because Firedawn had taken so strongly to the boy. But it'd be a lie, and even Flaxen knew this, to say that Flax wasn't just as overprotective of him as she is - though he doesn't have the excuse of motherly instincts egging him to care about the balding kid. Lucky for Wolfpaw he had those feelings at all - saved his sorry ass from having a harsher mentor...That being said, Flaxenglare would wait with little patience for his apprentice, wondering what was taking the little wad of fluff so long.

    "Speech"

  • ✦ Wolfpaw snorted as he rushed out of the apprentice den, other apprentices laughing along with him and wishing him goodbye. Were they teasing Flaxenglare just before he poked his head in? Maybe. Would Wolfpaw let him in on the joke? No; that was a good way to loose a few more teeth.

"Mornin'!" Wolfpaw called happily; he felt bad over the fact that he preferred to be with Flaxenglare and Firedawn than his own mother, but... he guessed that he'd appreciate her more with age. The thought of his mother was quickly dragging down his mood, so he shook his head and asked, "What're we doing today, Flax?"
