「"Back to where we made our memories" — "Through unopened windows, bound to my heart" 」

She knew Silentpaw had just joined Thunderclan and quite frankly behind in his training, but she still decided to take him up and train the apprentice. Perhaps having someone who was close to warrior age (even if they were just 10 moons) would be far less complicated for her considering she had never once apprenticed anyone before and only prayed that she could pass down the wisdom and courage her own mentor had given her. The frosty air bit her nose as she poked her head into the apprentice's den attempting to look for her apprentice before calling out to them "Silentpaw, its time we get going on training today-I can give you a tour of the clan or if you wish teach you how to climb trees" she proposed to the tom hoping that it would catch his attention-remembering her first time climbing a tree, and exploring the territory and each time she had been training Moonstar would teach her more and more about the warrior code and now that made her wonder if Silentpaw himself knew the warrior code-she'll ask him when he was ready to get a move on.

He slept like a rock. Motionless, silent, disinclined to move at all. It did not take much to take him though, the faintest sounds could do it, the sudden influx of light into the den as the sun rose could do it quicker. But it was Featherflight's call that had him lifting his head groggily from his nest and blinking the sleep from his eyes. Her words had caught his attention and he was rising to stand stiffly with a yawn before trotting forward to the mouth of the apprentice den with a lazy smile, "Climbing? I could do to learn more on that." He wasn't exactly built to climb.

Silentpaw was big for his age, sturdy legs and broad chest, the sort of cat who excelled in brute forcing his way through things but not really too agile. He was fast enough to hunt, could maneuver okay. But the idea of lugging his heavy hide up a tree sounded like it'd be a struggle.

He'd already seen most of the camp since returning, investigated on his own, so tree climbing sounded more useful at the moment.

Shaking his entire body briefly in an effort to properly wake up, he lifted his tail in a silent gesture of his readiness.

Hearing Silentpaw state he was willing to go climbing made her smile "thats good to here, we best be headed out now" she told him grateful that he needed help with at least some things still-though she knew that a little practicing of other things such as hunting skills and fighting skills were just as important but personally she felt like she has been doing a terrible job mentoring Silentpaw even though he did just get back from wherever he had been and rejoined Thunderclan. "How well do you know the Warrior Code?" she asked Silentpaw curiously making her way towards the entrance of the camp-the cool air piercing through her fur but she ignored it completely, it was a sign that it was getting colder out and she knew they were going to have to prepare for a long and brutal leaf-bare but it wasn't something they couldn't handle.

It would be a lie if he claimed he didn't need help or knew everything, not a soul alive knew it all nor could a single cat ever manage better than a group could. The clan lifestyle was made to lift up everyone, help everyone; it suited him and he enjoyed it.

"I know a fair bit of it, though it has been a while." The tom admitted with a sheepish smile, lifting a paw thoughtfully to his mouth, "I'm sure I've forgotten some of it but: protect you clan, respect borders..." Oh, there was a lot now that he had to say it-he had never realized before. "Elders, kits and queens eat first. Prey is killed only to be eaten." Silentpaw faltered, tone uncertain as he spoke the next one he recalled, "A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet."

He could still remember the two-leg house, with its noisy dog and terrible two-leg kits, he had eventually escaped from it but the time there was not something he enjoyed dwelling on. He wondered if his refusal to stay and obey meant he had rejected it properly as the code insisted.

    He hoped so.
