  • ❝ YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN ❞ Byleth would have been... disappointed, but this was a decision he had made on his own. No longer was he a part of the Solaris Kingdom. It reminded him too much of his old home, too much of a past he wished to forget, especially now. He was changing. Whether it was for the better or for the worse, he didn't know. Part of him didn't even want to comprehend what exactly was happening. There was a darkness within him that was brewing, stirring inside. It scared him. Seeing those murders, the bodies mutilated, it had frightened him at first. But now that he looked back on it, he saw art. It was still disgusting and appalling, but there was an art behind it, a message.

Dimitri grit his teeth behind pursed lips as he waded through the mud, his usually pristine fur now caked in mud. This was low, especially for a prince such as himself. He hadn't imagined himself in a place like this. The desert had been no home to him, but he found this marsh even worse. At least his desert had some similarities to the Solaris Kingdom's. There was little to no water, or rain. While his was cold, the Kingdom's was hot. He much preferred the frigid temperatures. The swamp seemed muggy, but with the colder breeze in the air he felt a bit more at home.

BoneClan. The name was eery, but it called out to him as odd as it sounded. Dimitri would find another place to call home, even if it eventually killed him. Perhaps he should have just given up. Faerghus was always going to be his home, even if it no longer existed. His family and friends had been there. Though he had Byleth and Ashe, it didn't seem to matter much, not anymore. The blonde tom sighed softly to himself as he eventually drew to a halt, stopping on a particularly dry patch of land. He was grateful for the break, even if he had a long way to go. The marsh seemed to extend for miles and miles, farther than what he could see on the horizon. He hoped it wasn't as vast as his eyes perceived. Dimitri flicked his paw to rid it of some mud before settling it on the ground, his haunches following suit. He supposed a break wouldn't hurt, even if only for a few minutes.

  • Aristotle tiresomely too waded through the mud that surrounded his slightly less wishy-washy home of Boneclan. Traversing over the pale and grim bridge that meant he was near home. Trekking past the waters-cape of frogs chirruping and small fishes rushing through more watery sections. His muscles were sore from political travels and the fur-rising fury he'd gone through while visiting the Exiles. Ari was more than happy they did not make merry with them. Personally they seemed like a bunch of back stabbing war hungry fools and he would not jeopardize his clan like that. The Reaper nearly barreled over the form of a stranger but quickly halted and backed up in surprise.

OH SHIT! Fangs instinctively bared towards the strange male and a growl burled deep from within. As reality came back to him the bear began blinking rapidly only just realizing that - oh, duh it's probably an ambassador or newcomer! Immediately he shaped up and laughed awkwardly towards Dimitri. "Oh! So sorry Senor, you startled me!" Aristotle's voice was bright and rich but humbled humility was very apparent on the leaders expression. Damn, I really need to pay more attention to my surroundings. He'd been so wrapped up inside his own head and oh-so very tired from the long trips he'd never even scented the presence of another nearby.

Clearing his throat, Ari retorted once more. "Now then, who might you be and what is your business here?"

  • ❝ YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN ❞ Dimitri wasn't at all intimidated by the bear, even with his size and bared fangs. He was a prince, after all. Fear was looked down upon, especially in his eyes. A look of shock, however, did appear on his features as he was nearly crashed into. He managed to swiftly stand and side step away. He would have been more fierce if not for Aristotle's kindness after the incident. The creamy colored tom looked toward the bear through narrowed blue eyes, his tail flicking gently. He stepped forward a bit so that he was not standing in the mud, as he didn't want to sink into it and get stuck. Dimitri stood tall, chin raised and nose pointed at Ari. He offered the bear a small, sheepish smile before nodding his head in acknowledgement. He hadn't necessarily minded, though he did preferred to not be squashed.

"No worries," Dimitri murmured in response, tail tip twitching slightly as the bear continued to speak. He cleared his throat upon realizing it was a question, one that could easily be answered by himself. "I am Dimitri, looking to join. I must admit that I did live in the Solaris Kingdom for a few weeks," the creamy tom introduced before admitting quietly, hoping that Aristotle wouldn't mind. The bear seemed to be kind, at least from the tone in his voice and his way of speaking. One could never be too sure though. Dimi frowned to himself slightly as he willed ice to form beneath his paws, the freezing cold burning but also providing him some sense of comfort.

  • ★ — Nico could relate to Dimitri in that they had both come to BoneClan to escape a place they just couldn't stand anymore. Though the similarities pretty much stopped there. Nico had joined during the merge between the Blackheart Rogues and Shadow Veil, and after being promoted in Shadow Veil, he decided he didn't want to spend any more time there than he had to. The Rogues had been his home for almost all his life, and he couldn't bear to stay in Shadow Veil because it reminded him too much that his home was gone now. He hadn't outright left, though, because he couldn't. While he didn't much like the place, what was left of his former home remained there; his son, Cosmospaw, as well as all the other members who shared memories of the place. So, he'd only stepped down, and decided to spend most of his time here instead. He wasn't running away from his problems, he was just making life more bearable for himself.

Coming up after Ari, Nico let out a small huff of a chuckle towards the bear. From a distance, he'd seen the large creature almost run into the newcomer, and, while he'd admit that was something that he would definitely do himself, he couldn't help but be amused by the Reaper's clumsiness. He was no better himself, but of course that didn't stop him from laughing at the other. Turning his red gaze to Dimitri, the Belgian Malinois gave a casual nod, taking a seat as the stranger gave his case. Another Solarian, huh? It seemed he was seeing them around a lot lately. "I don't see why that would be a problem," he mused with a shrug, casting a glance towards Aristotle. "So welcome to BoneClan," he flashed a small, halfhearted smirk, stepping aside as if inviting the other deeper into the territory. "I'm Nico, boneguard. Good to have you, Dimitri."

  • The white lioness was the next to arrive, dilute blue visionaries struggling to concentrate on the cream colored male. Her medicine bag draped loosely along her shoulders, leather hide wearing on her pale fur. Tail lightly swaying behind her, the wildcat would ignore the mud that sunk beneath her paws and seeped between her toes. She'd been surviving among the crocodiles and swampy terrain for over a month now, a bit of stained fur no longer bugged her much. This was home, the occasional marsh flowers and wonderful personalities easily made up for the dreary territory. Besides, the cathedral was a beauty, a diamond in the rough, and it would only continue to improve. It was a bit difficult to find herbs here, however. Thankfully one of the books stashed away in the library had some useful information on finding some medical herbs more local to the area. Who knew pitcher plants could be used for digestion and cattails could be used for helping heal exterior wounds? It was fascinating! The job she'd originally been hesitant to accept was now becoming second nature. She just hoped she could remember everything when under the stress of actually treating someone...

"Hello," she'd offer, voice like liquid honey flowing from her maw. "My name is Renaissance, although most here just refer to me as Ren." After all, it was her gentle side that was often revealed among her new family. Would they frown if they learned of her more.. sinister past? She'd shake the thought aside, forcing a small grin to form along her features. "Welcome to Boneclan."

  • ❝ YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN ❞ Two others arrived shortly after Aristotle's sudden appearance, those who also belonged to BoneClan. Dimitri was quiet for a moment as they spoke to him, introducing themselves as Nico and Ren. The names were simple enough, and relatively easy to remember. He offered them both a half smile, as if unsure of himself before stepping forward to join them. He kept his distance, eyes wary as he watched them. Though they posed no threat, he was still cautious. From what he had heard of BoneClan.. Dimitri hadn't heard much. They had been a group formed long ago, before Agrelos came to be, but that was before his time. Now the clan had returned, though smaller and less fierce than they had been before. He eyed the others carefully before glancing back in the direction they had come from. He pursed his lips as he watched the horizon, curious, but wary.

"Nice to meet you all, and thank you. Would one of you mind leading me around?" Dimitri inquired with a cock of his head as he turned to look back at them. He glanced between them all, half-expecting them all to jump forward to help him. He shoved those thoughts back into the confines of his mind, knowing better. These people weren't his subjects, nor were they his servants, or friends. Though they were acquainted now, it didn't mean a thing. Dimitri was wary, perhaps a bit too much at times. It wasn't something he could necessarily help, though he wished to learn and adapt. With a small, hardly audible sigh, the creamy tom flicked his tail, still waiting expectantly for an answer. He supposed it was possible to lead himself around, but he figured he would get lost.
