  • Also ahh insanity isn’t really a mental health disorder unless you mean antisocial personality disorder or sociopathy. As someone who has the first it’s kind of a bit of a bother when ppl call it “insanity”

No, I mean literally insane which is (in some views) considered mental health disorder. (I even looked it up beforehand to make sure)

Also, I'm sorry if calling it insanity has caused any offense, I just don't know what else to call it.

it actually isn’t a medical term for any mental health disorder, just a generalized term that’s been used since like the 1800s. I also looked it up

But it’s no worries friend i just hate all the negative stigma towards psychopathy and I guess I’m always a little worried about the way it’s represented sjdjdjdj

  • exaaaaactlyyyyy but u wouldnt BELIEVE how many folks ask me if i want to kill other people.... it's astounding..... like sure i think abt pouring a hot cappuccino down someone's pants every now and then, but if you've worked w/ customer service you'd understand why lol

  • LOL True.

I'm not that much noticeably insane/psycho/whatever you want to call it....until you get me talking about death. Then it's like...."Girl.....you okay?".

Literally, I started talking about the Hearse song and the Noose song and one of my friends asked me if I was going to start pulling out knives and nooses.

  • ahahahaha i disassociate REAL hard and i guess i just get a mildly murderous look or something bc people always ask me if I'm okay. I had to learn empathy, though, and it used to be such a struggle for me - particularly with other people. I love animals, though, so I just gotta think of people as animals. Or something.

  • it's kind of a struggle but the process goes like this (in case you'd like to use it in the rp) :

    -Identifying the situation

    -Identifying the reactions of others

    -Understanding the situation

    -Understanding those reactions

Once you've identified and begin to understand them, you can learn how to properly react and after a while you don't even have to think about it! I don't think I can pinpoint the exact time I started to like,,, naturally feel it,,,, but it's all about thinking things through. I think it gives me a bit of an advantage in certain situations, since I try not to react right away.

  • if you need inspo or something feel free to ask!! or any questions in general abt anti social personality disorder! like i said the negative stigmas around it are far too frequent, so im more than happy to answer questions <3

  • This is really fascinating you guys. I was ready to rant about manic-depression but honestly antisocial disorder is way more interesting to me. (Not like i view you guys as objects for study, I just don't know how to better articulate my interest in psychology.)

The other day, I walked past a book, and it's title was 'how to identify a psycho' so I picked it up because I'm interested in psych, but on the back it said '1 in 10 people are psycho' and then something like 'psychopaths are bloodthirsty monsters. Protect yourself.' and it's like, what the hell? Way to fear monger!

  • nah dude psychology is awesome! i'm going to college for it! nothing wrong with liking it. i gotta recommend kati morton on youtube. she's a therapist who makes videos explaining psychological disorders, how to deal with them, what it's like to have them, etc. She's super cool and sweet!!

That's unfortunate. There's lots of great books out there about psychopathy, too. The wildest thing abt it is that a lot of people who have it end up becoming CEO's and the like. Guess that lack of empathy makes it easier to climb the work ladder??
