    Lexi Edwards

OOC: Hey I'm so sorry for going AWOL! Had so much uni work to do unfortunately

Lexi lay curled up against Christian's side, head resting against his chest. He was definitely different to other men. She didn't know why life had suddenly thrown him into her life but she was going to enjoy every second of their time together, even if it was short. After all, good things didn't last forever. She remembered she had to go into work tonight. Ugh. That was the last thing she wanted to do. Lexi was already thinking of excuses to leave early. At least she would have the next couple of days with Christian, just as soon as tonight ended. "..I'm not a born and bred New Yorker, by the way. It's a secret though, so if you tell anybody, I might just have to kill you." She spoke suddenly, propping herself up on an elbow and looking down at him, a mischievous smile playing on her lips as she let her fingers brush over his chest absentmindedly. "I'm from this really shitty small town in Arizona. I think it's got a population of, like, four thousand, if that." The blonde didn't know why she had the sudden need to tell him. It wasn't an important detail. But she just wanted to. Maybe she just wanted him to know her better. The thought of that hell-hole she was raised in hadn't crossed her mind in years. The memories it conjured up were confusing and complicated at best. Some good, some bad. Mostly bad. She didn't know anyone she grew up with who had escaped their hometown. It seemed that if you were born there, you died there - But not Lexi. No. She had made it out, by some miracle, and she wasn't going to look back. A sudden thought entered her mind, chasing away memories of her hometown. "...Do you like Tennessee?" She asked her companion with a raised brow, "I've never been. Tell me about it." The blonde laid back down beside the dark-haired man, eyes focused intently on him.

    ✦ ✧ ✦Christian Miles

Christian couldn’t hide his surprise as Lexi spoke of where she was from. The thought never crossed his mind to ask her where she was raised, mainly because he thought she was from New York. He grinned when she threatened his life, knowing she was joking. His eyes lit up when she asked him about Tennessee, and his mind wandered about. Tennessee really was the best place he’d ever been in. “The mountains are gorgeous,” he started. The people are friendly— guess it’s some of that southern hospitality.” He grinned, winking at her. “We’ve got damn good food too, you’ll have to try the barbecue-,” he cut himself off, quickly adding. “I mean, if you ever were to visit. You’d have to.” He did his best to hide the red tint creeping upon his face. He knew it wasn’t very likely that Lexi would ever go that far south, without a good reason. She had a life here— a career here. The thought of never seeing Lexi again made his stomach turn. He could only hope their paths would cross again one day.

A blush appeared on the blonde's cheeks as he spoke of his home state, as she realized she knew very little. She didn't know Tennessee even had mountains but then again, she hadn't really paid attention in school. Hell, she had hardly attended class. Lexi couldn't help but chuckle, giving him a roll of her eyes as he mentioned southern hospitality. Christian had definitely been..hospitable, of that there was no doubt. She was about to fling back a flirty reply when she caught his unfortunate word choice. She inwardly grimaced, but tried to maintain the same bright and cheery expression. "Obviously, you have never tried a $2 hot dog from a sketchy stand in Central Park - That's the best food you can get." She tried to keep the conversation light and playful, avoiding bringing up the fact that she would most likely never visit Tennessee - At least, not for a very long time. The girl could barely afford her rent and other necessary living costs, a trip to Tennessee was out of the question. She didn't want Christian paying for her either, it just seemed wrong, and would end up creating an unequal power balance in the relationship. No. Tennessee, and Christian, would just have to wait. Even if it pained her. "So, this is probably going to be really awkward, but I know nothing about your music. Is it just you? Do you have a band? Is that who you were with last night?" Lexi fired away questions in hopes that it would distract the both of them from the gloomy fact that their affair would be unfortunately short-lived.
