Danse Macabre (BxB, vampire needed)

  • ( no i dont mind it, my wifi is down but Ill quickly respond to this. <3 )

The pale vampire pondered for a moment, what was the best course of action? Probably one of the secret tunnels, it was the only way that they'd be able to move out of here without being caught. He shivered at the thought of what would happen if they were indeed caught. He moved to the wall of the hallway and moved the wall drape to reveal a faint outline of a door. Where was that button again? He pressed his hands to the wall feeling around for the particular brick that would release the door. A soft sound of relief escaped his frame as his hand moved over a brick that felt familiar, he pressed the brick in. A sudden escape of old air and dust moved around the door as it opened barely, just enough for him to be able to pry it open the rest of the way.

"After you my dear." he joked.

  • OOC: cool :)

IC: Oliver watched curiously as Adrien seemed to search the bricks on the wall beside them. The teenager's face gave way to an expression of surprise and even a little excitement as the wall slid open to reveal a dark and dusty . . . passage, he was assuming, though it was hard to make out very far into the wall. He stepped towards it, giving a tentative almost-smile to the vampire as he joked. Then Oliver hesitated. He wasn't entirely keen on stepping into this dark, enclosed space with a vampire. But he supposed if he wanted to try and help all those people, he didn't have a choice. Taking a deep breath, he stepped into the passageway. Oliver coughed slightly as the dusty air filled his lungs. He walked a short distance into the tunnel, leaving room for Adrien to step through, then turned around to face the other man. "Uh . . . I don't think I caught your name," Oliver said, a little awkwardly.

  • He'd probably regret getting closer with this human, you only live once right, make all the mistakes you can. Maybe the human wanted to be friendly, he didnt understand their minds anymore. "Adrien.. and you are?" he asked with a narrowed gaze, he wasnt entirely sure how long he was going to play along for, or if he was even playing. He'd figure that out later right? His shoulders relaxed as he followed the other boy in, Adrien was quite relieved to find that nobody else was using the tunnels.

  • "Oliver," he responded, noting Adrien's narrowed eyes. It almost seemed like the vampire was suspicious of him, though that would be odd. Adrien was entirely in his own domain, Oliver assumed. As far as he knew, there was no reason for him to be weary. Oliver shrugged slightly to himself, and took a step forward until he was on the edge of where the light from the open wall touched. He couldn't see anything beyond the circle of dim light, and he was hesitant to continue. Oliver wasn't sure what he'd do once they had to close the wall and throw the passageway into darkness. "You wouldn't happen to have a light, would you?" Oliver asked, his tone both a little joking and a little hesitant.

  • He forgot humans couldn't see well in the dark, how did he ever survive before? He pulled one of the torches from the wall and lit it using flint and steel that was left there for this very reason. "Better now?" he'd ask as he passed Oliver the torch. The hunt would begin very soon, they didn't have much time to ponder their plan. First off they really had to get rid of his human scent. Adrien pulled off his coat and passed to Oliver, "Put this on." he ordered. Hopefully his scent was enough to mask the walking meal.

  • Oliver nodded as he held the torch carefully in both hands. It didn't provide as much light as the flashlights he'd been used to back home, but at least he wasn't stumbling through complete darkness. And the torch did have the added benefit of bringing some warmth in the cool, damp tunnel.

Oliver reached out for the coat as Adrien instructed, giving the vampire a puzzled look, though he did as asked. "Uh . . . why?" He asked curiously, juggling the torch from hand to hand as he pulled on the coat. He supposed it was chilly in the tunnel, but Oliver didn't think that Adrien was very inclined to go the extra mile to be kind.

  • "You smell very human." he answered, avoiding looking in Oliver's direction. Now he had a new problem, his smell and the human's smell were mingling. Adrien couldn't help but blush, hopefully the darkness hid this fact. He was never this friendly with other vampires or humans. Maybe he was acting weird because he was hungry, when was the last time he ate? Usually he wasn't this aware of human smells, actually this had never bothered him so much. What was so different about this human? "The hunt starts soon, we had better hurry."

  • "Oh," Oliver answered simply, keeping his tone carefully neutral. Using his free hand, he hugged the coat tighter around his frame. He took a deep breath and nodded as Adrien suggested they get going. The closer they got to actually having to do something, the more Oliver's confidence wavered. He was still nowhere near backing out of his own plan, but he could definitely feel a flutter of nervousness in his chest. Taking a couple of steps deeper into the dim passageway, he very soon realised that he had no idea where he was going. Oliver stepped to the side slightly and gestured for Adrien to take the lead. "After you."

  • He pushed his concern deep into his mind, hoping that it would be enough to settle his conscious. Adrien took the lead, they had absolutely no plan, in fact if they were to be caught like this even they'd both be killed, slowly. "Up ahead there is a passage that leads directly to the prisoner's chambers, and one that leads to the wilderness." he'd say neutrally. However the longer they took the more vampires they'd find gathered in the wilds ready for a hunt. Honestly this was the worst day they could have chosen to stage a rescue, he was suddenly doubting their success even more. "There will be many gathering in the wilds just shortly for the hunt and that will tie into the feast. How about we just turn back and leave?" he'd ask, internally it was more of a plead. Adrien found himself tied to the human, the more he thought about them failing and dying the more he wanted to take the human and make a run for it. It was a difficult task just rescuing one human, who knew how many were down there.

  • Oliver followed Adrien as the vampire led the way down the tunnel. Though Adrien was clearly familiar with the many winding passageways, Oliver could sense some hesitation in his steps and that made him all the more nervous. It seemed likely to him that there would be repercussions to setting the other humans free, but Oliver would assume that Adrien's status as a vampire would award him some protection. But then again, from what he'd heard, they could be pretty ruthless . . .

Oliver stopped walking in surprise as Adrien suggested that they turn around. He wouldn't lie, a large part of him wanted to, especially if the other man wasn't feeling confident either. However, he just furrowed his brow and pulled Adrien's coat tighter around his shoulders, solidifying his resolve. "I can't just leave them," Oliver said. "Even if we can't get everyone to safety, we need to give them a chance." His voice wavered slightly as he spoke, but he was determined to do something.
