    AVALON GRACE O'HARA

    OVERVIEW.

    ☾ Avalon O'Hara

    ☾ Female (She/Her)

☾ Orphaned Daughter of Hunters | Bobby Singer's Goddaughter

    ☾ Currently Twenty Four

☾ Allegiance to Bobby Singer & Her Cousin

    RELATIONSHIPS.

    ☾ Heterosexual - Heteroromantic / Monogamous / Single

☾ Platonic Relationships for Avalon are... difficult. She doesn't have many people in her life besides family. She can be a bit odd with her platonic relationships. She can be a very caring person, when she trusts someone. But other than that, she is relatively cold and distant. She doesn't make friends very easily and for most of her life it has just been her, her cousin, and Bobby. And now, her son. She had only ever really let one person in besides family and she's still reeling from that hurt. She is the more motherly friend when she does care, often to be one to care for wounds or any kind of sickness. She tends to have her walls down when she's around people she trusts but those are rare and few.

☾ Romantic Relationships for Avalon are almost non-existent. For half of her life, she was with her parents. She only cared about being a kid. And then her family died in a fire and she was the only survivor. Her Godfather, Bobby Singer, took her in. As well as her cousin. And for a while, she was focused on learning about hunting and finding exactly what killed her parents and her aunt and uncle. It practically consumed her life. All the while, Bobby kept her and her cousin a secret from the Winchesters. They knew about the brothers but had never met them. They assumed it was for the best. She eventually was convinced to go to school rather than obsess about whatever had killed her parents. She went to university for nursing and she met Grayson. He was two years ahead of her and he took her by surprise. She fell hard and fast, which was out of character for her. They began dating and it seemed to be getting serious. Until she caught Grayson in his dorm with another girl. He tried to write it off as a simple misunderstanding but Avalon wasn't that naive. She left and dropped out of college, completely disappearing from his life. Until, the positive pregnancy test popped up in her life. She became a single mother and raised Bastian with the help of her cousin and Bobby. So with romantic relationships, she is very scared of getting hurt so she often pushes any potential romances away. Out of fear of not being enough again.

    Jackson O'Hara [father] | Lucille O'Hara [mother] | Bastian O'Hara [son]

    APPEARANCE / AESTHETIC.

☾ [CURRENT BODY:] Avalon has always been a petite girl. She only stands at 5'3 and is much shorter than most others her age. She doesn't mind it, though. She has a slimmer figure than most but she isn't exactly skinny. She has more muscle on her body so she's a bit more toned. She likes to keep herself in shape. She has deep brown hair that usually runs down her back in loose ringlets. Her eyes change color, often changing between green, blue or grey or even a mixture of them. She has pale skin, almost ivory white.

↳ Avalon's body is petite. She has a slimmer and toned body type. Her skin is soft and almost silky. She has a woman's curves but they aren't as exaggerated as other women her age. She has a small bubble bum as well as breasts that are about B cup in size. She isn't the most endowed woman but she doesn't care. Her body isn't without it's imperfections though. She has a bit of a hip dip but it's nothing too dramatic. It's something she's insecure about, though.

Avalon has a very beautiful face. She has silky white skin and its soft to the touch. She has a sharp jawline that is more squared off than most. Her cheekbones are high on her face but not nearly as sharp as she would hope. She has delicate and arched eyebrows that are the same deep brown as her hair. She has wide almond shaped eyes that are very expressive. Her eyes change color but are prominently blue. She had naturally long eyelashes that make her eyes pop. Her nose is thin and stays thin. When it comes to her nostrils, they flare slightly upwards but nothing too noticeable. Her lips are very plump and seem to bring her features together. Her hair reaches down to the middle of her back and the ends have a natural curl and wave to them. She has her bangs cut across her forehead and the style just seems to frame her beauty perfectly.

Avalon has a few scars from various cases she has been on with her cousin. She has a scar on her upper calf from a werewolf case that's a source of some insecurity. She also has faded stretch marks on her stomach and hips from her pregnancy that she feel uncomfortable with. She's hoping to work on her body and her own insecurities.

☾ Defects: Avalon has an inferiority complex and a guilt complex.

    — INJURIES/ILLNESSES: Avalon has anxiety and takes medication for it.

    PERSONALITY.

☾ [EXTERIOR TRAITS] Placid, Defensive, Deliberate, Gritty, Dominating, Tenacious, & Maternal

☾ [INTERIOR TRAITS] Passionate, Goofy, Resourceful, Daring, Crass, Brooding, Nimble

↳ Avalon is placid in the sense that she remains level-headed in tough situations. She likes to think before she makes any kind of rash decisions unless it is a dire emergency. She keeps herself calm and collected and only jumps to action when it is warranted. She's defensive because she doesn't like letting people in. She is quick to brush any kind of affection off that she doesn't want. She is quick to defend her family and will always do so, putting them before herself or anyone else. She is deliberate with her actions, making sure that she is making the right decision before doing so. She is almost treats all the actions she could make like it was a game of chess, wanting to make sure to take down the opposing King with little damage to her own team. She is gritty and tough, just like how most hunter women are raised. Her father was in the Marine Corps and trained her how to fight from a very early age. She was raised to be a strong warrior and to defend her family and other innocents, not much else. She is dominating because she refuses to back down. She likes to be the boss when it comes to cases or anything dangerous and hates when she is anything else. She doesn't let anyone's words get to her and she has an almost impenetrable wall when it comes to her heart. She is a very tenacious woman and has fought hard for everything she has and is more than willing to keep fighting for her family. She is one of the strongest women in the hunting world and she likes to make sure her reputation is accurate. She is maternal when it comes to cases and her family. She will always take the role of the more gentle of the two if the case involves kids. She is very tender and gentle when it comes to children, no matter who's they are.

Avalon hides her passion. She is a very loud and vocal woman but she hides her passion in the sense that she doesn't want to make it seem like she cares too much. So she hides it. She is actually very passionate about a few things, including cars and anything geeky. She likes to speak her mind and never holds her tongue. She is goofy once she lets her walls down and a very bright and warm woman. She loves to dance and goof around and often only lets this side of herself be seen by family. She is the type of woman to dance around the kitchen with her son while making breakfast or dinner and listening to music. She is very resourceful and loves to tinker, seeming to make something out of nothing. She likes to take scraps from stuff that people have abandoned and make something out of it. She made a mobile of the solar system out of scrap metal around the time her son was born. She likes to invent. She is daring and is quick to stand up for her loved ones, even if it brings her pain. She is afraid of death but she doesn't act like she is, always being the one to put herself in harms way to protect her loved ones. She is crass and has a sharp tongue, never thinking before speaking. She often just lets her words roll off her tongue and deal with the consequences after. She is brooding in the sense that she often stays quiet, unless she has something to say. Usually, it's some kind of diss. She seems to almost be stuck in her emo-phase from when she was a teenager and always has something glum to say. She is very nimble and quick witted, not taking much time to come up with a solution to whatever problem she is having.

    — DISORDERS: None

    INTERACTION / CONFRONTATION.

☾ [WEAPONS:] Tattoo on the back of her neck [x] & a bunch of the necessary weapons in the trunk of her car, which was her father's and is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6 [x]

    ☾ physical health 100% / mental health 80%

She doesn’t remember much from when her parents died in a tragic house fire, but she does remember her Godfather Bobby Singer taking her and her cousin in, and caring for them like his own. Caroline has never been very outgoing- in fact, when Avalon went off to college, the surrounded herself more in studies of what it could have been that killed her family, believing that it wasn’t just some freak accident.
Lately, she had been eavesdropping on Bobby whilst on the phone with who she assumed to be the Winchester boys she’d heard about through the grapevine. Frequently the phrase “yellow-eyed demon” would come up, peaking Caroline’s curiosity. She knew she needed to get in touch with the Winchester boys that Bobby fought so hard to keep away from her and her cousin, she just needed the perfect time.

  • However! Can start right after Caroline hears Bobby talking about the yellow-eyed demon with the Winchester’s over the phone & she’s telling Avalon that they need to meet up. I suppose I can make the first post!

    Caroline

Caroline peered around the corner discreetly, hearing Bobby speak. He sounded anxious as he uttered the words ‘yellow-eyed demon’, as though he didn’t want anyone to overhear him. “Fire?” He said, sounding even more concerned. Bobby scanned his surroundings, but the brunette whisked her head back around the corner before she could be seen. “Dean, I’ll have to call ya back tonight,” he concluded their conversation. Caroline quickly but silently trailed back towards the room she shared with Avalon in Bobby’s small shack. “Avalon, we need to talk,” she whispered, continually looking over her shoulder as she spoke.

BABY TAKE MY HAND, DON'T FEAR THE REAPER

avalon had woke early that morning. she was thankful that it was the weekend so she didn't have to take bastian to school. she wanted him to have a normal life, she wanted him to finish out school. and if he chose college over the hunting life, she would be proud of him. she didn't wish the hunting life on her son. she wanted him to live a normal life and she wanted to help provide that. and part of that was by sending him to public school. he wasn't supposed to talk about hunting life, of course. he told his classmates that his mother was a private investigator. which wasn't exactly lying. she had cried the first day of kindergarten and almost did when she saw him walk into school for first grade. she knew that he had to grow up and become his own man but still. the thought terrified her. she loved her son unconditionally and he was the truest love she had in her life. she had bobby and caroline but loving a child is a different story. bastian was her entire world and she would fight whatever creature she needed to get back to him. she had done everything for him and she wanted less monsters in the world. it gave her a sense of peace, hoping that her son would be less likely to be in danger. avalon usually woke earlier than the others. she shared a bedroom with caroline and shared a bed with bastian. while bobby had his own room. she would never ask for more than that since she knew that bobby's room was the room he and his wife had shared. she wouldn't dare impose on her memory. she spent most of her morning cleaning up around the house. well, more like shack. it was a pretty small house. but avalon wouldn't complain. home was home. and this had been her home for half of her life. she had made breakfast for everyone. they came running down the stairs like rambunctious children and the sight of it only made avalon smile. she fed her son first and then bobby and her cousin. she cleaned up the dishes before she ate some breakfast for herself. she then cleaned the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping. she helped her son with his homework afterwards, knowing the basics of what he was learning since she had a very good memory. she cleaned the bathrooms next, scrubbing them clean. she then moved to clean bobby's living room and hallways. she organized his hunter books on the shelves and tidied up his desk, knowing just how he liked it. avalon was the type of girl to keep a house clean and keep her family fed with home cooked meals. but she would never let a man tell her what to do or assume the position of house wife. she doubted she would ever even get married. the whole idea of love was a bitter memory that left a sour taste in her mouth.

the huntress cleaned the rest of the house before she climbed the stairs. she had no idea what caroline or bobby were doing but she saw bastian in the living room, reading a book. he seemed very immersed in the stories so she didn't want to interrupt him. she decided to take a shower and she spent about thirty minutes completely scrubbing her body clean as well as her hair. she sighed and stepped out of the shower, feeling clean. she brushed her teeth before drying off her body with her towel. she slipped on a simple outfit, knowing they wouldn't be going anywhere today. she dried her hair with a blow dryer and brushed through her messy curls before pulling her hair into a high ponytail. she smoothed out her shirt and her head swiveled around when she heard caroline's voice break through the still air. she blinked and a frown graced her features as she noticed how nervous her cousin was. like she was not wanting to get caught. avalon crossed her arms over her chest and watched her cousin with a worried gaze. "care, you're shaking like a leaf. what is it?" the young mother spoke delicately, her eyes searching her cousin's, hoping to find some answers.

-- so sorry, i got busy irl and wasn't online! and sorry for this shitty first post :/

    "Speech."

  • Caroline

Caroline shook her hands, trying to calm herself down. Truth was, she had a million thoughts running through her mind. “You know those Winchester boys Bobby is always sneakily talking to?” She started, catching her breath. “I think we need to get in touch with them to figure out what caused that fire. I promise, I’m not crazy.” She knew how rash this sounded, but the pair had always agreed that there was something about the fire that Bobby wouldn’t let on to. His number one priority had always been to keep them safe- even if that meant keeping them out of the loop.

This wasn’t the first conversation of Bobby and the boys that Caroline had eavesdropped on. She’d slowly gathered information in bits and pieces, trying to piece a puzzle together. “I’ve been thinking about this for weeks now,” she admitted. “Those boys could be the missing link to finally getting some closure.” She struggled to keep her composure as she thought of the loss of her parents. She wasn’t sure if there would ever really be any closure, but she also knew this would be a good first step.

All they would need to do is wait for Bobby to fall asleep, ring them, and set up a meeting that Bobby couldn’t know about. She knew there was a reason that he never allowed them to come along when meeting with the Winchester boys, but she chalked it up to being overprotective.

BABY TAKE MY HAND, DON'T FEAR THE REAPER

avalon watched her cousin closely and the way she shaking out her hands, as if she was trying to calm her nerves. the brunette studied her cousin, various emotions shimmering in her blue eyes. what was on her cousin's mind that had her so... nervous? she inhaled deeply and dropped her hands down by her side. caroline finally spoke, and the name winchester sparked avalon's interest. she had heard about the winchesters. they had never personally met them but avalon always guessed it was because bobby was protective and didn't want those boys around his goddaughters. she wondered if it was something much more than that. avalon nodded, acknowledging caroline's question and her eyes pleaded for her cousin to keep talking. she let her cousin catch her breathe before she spoke again and her words hit avalon heavy in the chest. they needed to get in contact with the winchesters? could they really know what was wrong with that fire and give them the answers they so desperately craved? she clenched her jaw hard and a thoughtful frown graced her features. she began to pace as she thought to herself, trying to think of all the different scenarios. so maybe bobby hadn't kept them away from the winchesters because they were lustful boys. maybe it was to protect them, from whatever had started that fire and was after them. she had investigated both of the fire for years, obsessing about it. there was nothing normal about that fire... maybe the winchesters really held the answers for the questions they had. she clenched her jaw as her eyes seemed to be figuring out some kind of equation in her head. she was still pacing and was now fumbling with her bottom lip between her fingers. caroline had promised she wasn't crazy and avalon seemed to snap out of trance. she looked up at her cousin, stopping the pacing. she sighed. "you're not crazy. you never were. neither of us were. i spent years obsessing about that fire... there was nothing normal about it. but there's something more. something bobby isn't telling us." avalon said in a strong voice, her brows knitted together in thought. she looked up at caroline with a serious expression when her cousin mention thinking about this for weeks. she blinked and listened to her for a moment, wanting to piece the whole story together. she wanted to find the thing that murdered her family and murder them herself. she clenched her jaw.

avalon listened as caroline said the winchester boys might be the thing that is the missing link in all of this. that they could possibly give them the closure they've been craving for so long. avalon noticed how emotional her cousin got at the mention of their parents and she gave the girl a soft smile. she stepped forward and gently placed her hands on her shoulders. "it's time we found out what happened to our family. and kill the thing that took them from us. with or without the winchester boy's help, okay?" avalon said softly and looked deeply into her cousin's eyes. avalon was determined that they would find the thing that caused the fires and they would both make the monster pay. she wiped a tear from caroline's cheek with a small smile before moving away, sighing deeply. "i just don't get it. why keep it from us?" avalon murmured with a frown as she sat down on the edge of her bed.

    "Speech."

  • Caroline

Caroline watched as her cousin paced back and forth, soaking in her words. She knew it was a lot to take in. They’d both fallen off the subject of the fire for awhile; mainly for their mental health. She fiddled with her fingers, nodding as Avalon mentioned discovering the cause of the fire once and for all.

Emotions were completely taken over, and that’s just the norm for Caroline. She wore her heart on her sleeve, often. She’s been known to fall in love much too fast. Even worse, she’d blame herself every time something went wrong in life- be it a relationship, or even the death of her parents.

Caroline was greatly comforted when her cousin wiped away the single tear that strayed from her eye. She had already taken it upon herself to copy the Winchester’s number from Bobby’s book. She pulled a shriveled up piece of paper from her back pocket, looking at it for a moment. She knew in her heart that this was the right thing to do, even if it meant sneaking around behind Bobby’s back.

She turned the sheet of notebook paper around to reveal it to Avalon. “You wanna do it?” Caroline asked nervously. She knew this was a big step, but she had no idea what she could even be capable of mustering up when one of them answered the phone. Maybe she was wrong. Maybe the Winchester’s had no idea about the causing of the fire that stole her family from her. There was no way to be certain, until they picked up the phone.

BABY TAKE MY HAND, DON'T FEAR THE REAPER

avalon bit on her bottom lip, her eyes seeming to search for any kind of answers she could find. she wanted to know why bobby had chosen to keep this from the both of them. what was so bad and terrifying that they couldn't know what had killed their parents? they had every right to search for answers but bobby seemed determined to keep them in the dark. it was like... a betrayal to avalon. she hated being out of the loop and especially when it involved something that affected her. she had nearly died that night, just like caroline nearly had. they both deserved the truth. and their godfather, who they had both come to love as a father, was keeping things from them. it made her heart feel heavy in her chest. she wanted nothing more than to confront bobby and question him but she knew now was not the time. she needed to find out the truth for herself. she needed to talk to these winchester boys, for herself and her cousin. she clenched her jaw and placed her elbows on her knees, fumbling with her thumbs. if they did manage to get ahold of the winchesters and convince them to inform them about what they needed to know, she'd have to come up with some kind of lie. she would have to leave, for possibly a week or two. she hated leaving bastian but she had no choice. she needed the truth. she needed to make sure that whatever had killed her parents would never get the chance to attack her son. she needed to protect him, as well as her cousin and bobby. she wouldn't live in fear that this creature would hunt them all down. she would take it down herself, even if it took her dying breath. just to make sure that her family was safe. she sighed deeply and bit harder on her lower lip. she tasted copper in her mouth and she realized she had bit down too hard on her lip. and now she was bleeding. she rolled her eyes at herself and licked the blood from her lips. she blinked and glanced up at caroline as her cousin approached her. she held a piece of paper in her hands and avalon frowned in curiosity.

the brunette reached for the piece of paper with delicate hands and blinked when her cousin spoke. she laughed softly, wanting to break the thick tension in the room. she knew her cousin was always more of the silent type, the shy one out of the two of them. while avalon was very out there and spoke her opinion in any situation. she didn't care who she insulted if they had done something wrong. she was crass. she looked over the number before looking up at her cousin. she smiled softly at her sweet cousin, glad that her cousin had remained herself through all these years. "of course, i'll call them later tonight." avalon spoke softly and put the paper in her pocket as she heard the door to their bedroom open. bastian entered the room and avalon visibly relaxed and smiled. her genuine smile, one that only ever showed around family. she opened her arms and pulled her son into her lap. he curled up against her chest with a yawn. "how was your book, baby?" and they made small talk for a few minutes before bastian left the room to go play outside.

  • [[my reply has been sitting in my drafts and I didn’t even realize it!]]

    Caroline

Caroline watched her cousin take everything into consideration, in silence. Of course, she understood, seeing as how it was almost a betrayal of Bobby’s trust. Unfortunately, Bobby was not so quick to allow the girls to take control of their lives, so they sometimes had to take matters into their own hands. Her eyes brightened up when she agreed to call them. She would have already done it herself, but she wouldn’t even know what to say, or where to start.

The Winchester brothers were very well known amongst the hunter community, so she had hope that if anyone could help them, they could. She grew as excited as she could be, even though she knew it wouldn’t bring her parents back. “This is great,” she exclaimed. “This could be the end of our curiosity getting the best of us.” Caroline’s hopes were that she could get on with a normal life, and maybe meet someone she was compatible with. It was seemingly impossible to do that, when more often than not all of her mind was focused on her parents’ death, and what she could ever possibly do to avenge them. In her heart, she knew there would always be a piece of her trying to go after this thing, but maybe with the Winchester’s, they could get at least one step closer.

BABY TAKE MY HAND, DON'T FEAR THE REAPER

avalon pursed her lips as her son left the room and she blinked, looking up at her cousin as she spoke. she seemed hopeful that they would get the answers that they both craved so desperately. avalon pushed herself to stand and looked at her cousin, her arms crossed over her chest. "come on, care. don't get too hopeful. these boys could not be helpful at all and refuse to help us. if that's the case, we'll figure this out on our own. whatever it takes." avalon's voice is silky and serious, her blue eyes shimmering with concern for her cousin. she knew all too well how disappointing people could be when you believed in them and she truly didn't want to go through the same thing again. romantic relations or not. she sighed softly and dropped her arms down by her side. she grabbed the paper with the winchester's boy's number on it. she scanned with her eyes a few times before grabbing her phone. she put the number in her phone under winchester and then tossed her phone onto her bed. she grabbed a lighter from her nightstand and walked into the bathroom. she set fire to the paper and dropped it into the bathroom sink, watching the fire consume the paper with a serious expression. she turned her head as caroline looked at her inquisitively and she chuckled to herself. "figured we should burn the evidence before bobby finds it accidentally." avalon explained and turned on the water from the sink. she washed the ashes down the sink and then put the lighter in her back pocket. she walked back out of the bathroom and sat down on the edge of her bed. she frowned, lost in her own thoughts.

she inhaled and took some time to formulate her words before speaking. she looked up at her cousin, a confused and thoughtful frown on her brows. "what could it possibly be? we've run over every possible monster in our research to see if it matched up... none of them did. so what could they possibly know that we didn't?" avalon questioned as she clenched her jaw. she wasn't sure why, but she was already not liking this whole situation. some mysterious boys hold the secret that she's been trying to solve for years, nearly driving herself mad? she sighed, seeming frustrated. she placed her elbow on her knee and her chin on her palm.

  • Caroline

Caroline was the complete opposite of her cousin. Avalon, being a realist, contrasted greatly to Caroline being an optimist, and looking at the best in everyone. Caroline has a terrible habit of putting her full faith into people— whether it be romantic or not. She watched as Avalon burned the paper and wash the remnants of the number she’d gotten down the drain. It was smart, because Bobby sometimes had the tendency to be nosey at times. She followed her cousin back into their room, and watched as he clearly had something on her mind. “Sometimes it takes an outsiders perspective...” she trailed off. She did her best to make Avalon feel comfortable and as confident as she was in the situation. “We have to try something, even if it is a last resort.” Which, at this point, it almost was. She and Avalon had been searching and tracking any possible lead, and only ever come out empty handed. In her heart, she knew this was the best option. Who else could help them?

    Caroline

Caroline paced back and forth in their room. It was almost time for Bobby to go to sleep, signaling our chance to contact the brothers. She stopped in her tracks when Bobby pokes his head into their bedroom. “You three sleep good tonight,” he said, offering a warm smile. We returned his good wishes, waiting patiently for his bedroom door to close. Caroline slowly crept to their bedroom door and close it behind him, before turning back to look at Avalon. “Are you ready to do this?” Caroline’s voice was shaky, though, she was actually kind of excited. She took a seat next to Avalon, and waited for her to retrieve the number from her phone. This could be the moment they’ve been waiting for— deep in her heart, she knew it was.

avalon spent the rest of her day thinking of all the possibilities her future held after the phone call that night. she had spent half of her life chasing her parent's ghosts, trying to find out what happened to them. she had put her own life on hold for so long, just to chase the possibility of what could have been. she had no idea what had killed her parents. or why. she needed to know. so she could at least have some kind of closure. even if it meant never seeing her parents again. she knew that this path could become dangerous. but she needed to avenge her parents. they had been good people. and she wasn't just saying that because she was their daughter. her parents had been kind and patient in everything they did. avalon was blessed to be their daughter and felt as if she failed them everyday. she was filled with such anger while her mom had been the most peaceful person she had ever met. avalon knew she was angry because her parents had been taken from her. and angry because the one man she had ever loved had betrayed her and sought out another woman. she wanted to rid herself of all of this pent up anger. and the only time she felt any sort of relief from her rage was when she was beating something, or someone, up. or when she let all of her worries go for one night while she hooked up with a stranger. but, she wanted to be better. for her son, if for no one else. she wanted to let go of this anger. and the only way she knew how was to go after the thing that killed her family. and to kill it, once and for all. she had made dinner for everyone and was silent most of the day. she spent her day thinking, a thoughtful frown on her features. she was worried about caroline getting her hopes up. these brothers, they could be no help at all or refuse them all together. but, they had to try. she gave bastian a bath before she dressed him in some of his pajamas and then brushed through his wet hair. she lifted her head, sitting in the bed she shared with her son when bobby said his goodnights to them. avalon simply nodded, mumbling a goodnight in return before she pulled bastian onto their bed. she tucked him under the blankets and kissed his forehead, seeing that he was already becoming tired. she smiled softly down at her son before looking to caroline.

avalon sighed when she finally heard bobby's bedroom door close. she watched as caroline shut the bedroom door and then turned to her, speaking. avalon moved to grab her cell phone from her pocket. she stared down at it intensely as she gripped it. after this moment, their entire lives would change. for the better or worse, she couldn't tell. and that terrified her. she glanced to her son's sleeping figure as he dreamed. she clenched her jaw, looking back to her phone. caroline sat down beside her on the bed avalon shared with her son and the mother pursed her lips. she glanced to her cousin with a small, nervous laugh. "as ready as i'll ever be." avalon sighed before dialing the number saved in her phone and holding it up to her ear. she heard it ring a few times before she began to bounce her leg nervously. she bit her bottom lip, her heart racing. finally, someone picked up on the other side and gave a gruff, yet silky 'hello?'. avalon gulped before she shook her head, knowing she needed to be brave and strong. she brushed her hair from her face. "is this dean winchester?" avalon asked and a voice on the other side slowly said yes. avalon blinked, her jaw clenching. her eyes shimmered with determination, like a switch went off inside of her. she straightened her posture. "this is avalon o'hara. i'm bobby's goddaughter." avalon spoke, her voice unwavering and serious. there was silence for a few moments. "and i need you to tell me everything that you know about the thing that killed my parents and my aunt and uncle. and i will not take no for an answer." avalon's voice almost sounded like a growl with the last of her sentence and her heart continued to thunder in her chest.

WHEN THE VIOLENCE CAUSES SILENCE, WE MUST BE MISTAKEN

it had been a long day. sam and his brother had just gotten back to the hotel after a rough hunt. they had a werewolf to deal with and the monster had really put up a fight. so the both of them were pretty roughed up. sam was just glad that they had been able to put the thing down. he wasn't sure if he wanted to spend another day in this hotel. of all the ones they had been too, this was one of the worst. luckily, the both of them were too exhausted to care. dean muttered something about ordering pizza and sam just nodded as he made his way for the bathroom. he stripped the tattered clothes from his body and stepped into the scolding hot shower. he washed all of the blood and dirt and grime off of his body. he made sure to thoroughly was through his hair, not wanting to feel gross later on. he was done in about fifteen minutes and he stepped out, turning off the water. he wrapped a towel around his waist before stepping out into the main room. he laughed as dean grumbled about him taking forever in the shower before shoving into the bathroom. sam shrugged and got himself dressed in a pair of sweats and a loose shirt. he ran a hand through his damp hair and walked over to the table. he saw the pizzas on the table and he heard his stomach roar. he grabbed a pepperoni slice before sitting down in one of the seats. he sighed softly as he felt the soreness settle into his muscles. he reached into the mini fridge and grabbed a beer. most times, he would complain about pizza. but right now, he was too tired to care. he would eat a salad tomorrow. that would balance things out, right? he sighed softly and sipped his beer before relaxing in his chair. he looked over to dean walking out of the steaming bathroom. he got dressed quickly and then made his way over to sam. dean sat down across from his brother and began to dig into his food and sam just chuckled. they sat in silence for a few moments before dean's phone began to ring. the brothers exchanged a look and a frown. no one had that number, save for bobby and a few other reliable hunters. sam sat up a bit as dean fished the phone from his pocket. he watched his brother as he scanned the number. it was a number that neither of them recognized.

sam shrugged and dean answered the call, saying hello in that usual gruff voice of his. he then put the phone on speaker and set it down on the table between them. sam frowned and stared down at the phone. the person on the other end of the phone, a woman, asked if this was dean winchester. sam and dean exchanged a look before dean slowly said yes. sam frowned, his heart pounding. who was this woman, and how did she have this number? and then his question was answered. he nearly scoffed as he leaned back in his chair. avalon o'hara. she was bobby's goddaughter, as was caroline o'conor. they had both been through the same thing dean and sam had. but for them, the fire that the yellow eyed demon caused had killed both of their parents. bobby had informed them and luckily, neither of the girls had been tainted by the yellow eyed demon and had escaped. and now, they were calling and demanding to know what had killed their parents. bobby had never told either of them, out of fear for their safety. if sam remembered correctly, one of them even had a son. so bobby was right to be protective. the hunter clenched his jaw as he looked to his brother. avalon spoke, saying she would not take no for an answer and sam eyed his brother. this woman had more balls than dean, which was a rarity. sam already knew his brother would have his hands full. he chuckled to himself as he crossed his arms over his chest. he watched his brother, amused by his baffled look.

  • Caroline

As the phone dialed up on their end, Caroline grew increasingly anxious. This was the moment they were going to figure everything out. She took a sharp breath in as Dean answered, and watched her cousin’s composure. Avalon was so much more confident than she was— it was a trait she had always been jealous of. She nodded her head, agreeing that they would not take no for an answer. They needed to know what to expect, after all. What if this think came back for them? They wouldn’t even know what to look for. She listened to the silence on the other end of the phone, awaiting his response. What if he denied them? He could tell by the stammering that he finally began with that he knew something, even if he didn’t want to tell us. That’s all we needed to press him on for answers.

    Dean

Dean shrugged before answering the phone finally. He gave a ‘hello’ and took a bite of the cheesy pizza. He raised an eyebrow slightly amused, yet surprised at Avalon’s insistence. He looked up at Sam, not sure how to respond. He stammered a bit at first, before deciding on what to say to her. “Look, Avalon, I’m sure Bobby has his reasons for not telling you,” he started, leaving a pause for just a moment. He looked up at Sam, briefly. They had an upper hand against the yellow-eyed demon, because they knew what they were looking for. He let out a sigh, unsure of his next statement. “Look, you’re at Bobby’s, right? Would you be able to get away tonight,” he asked. “I like to keep my business on land-lines and burner phones only.” He looked up at Sam’s exasperated expression. They were only thirty miles from Bobby’s house, but they had both had a pretty rough hunt. He shrugged, not know what else to do. The girls were refusing anything other than an answer, so maybe it was time for them to know the truth.
