It had been a long trek from the moors of Windclan over to the mountains of which the Darkclan cats resided. With no real reason the lanky she-cat bravely had embarked on that mission to find herself a new home! There was nothing wrong with those who lived under the stars but she constantly found herself under pressure of her ancestors - something no one put on her but herself. She recalled a time she had spent with the Darkclanner, Mysticfang. It was then she found herself being relaxed, being more herself then she had ever been. So, maybe it was crazy the lost lady let her confused paws lead the way but at least she knew there was someone in this direction who made her smile.

With a deep breath the dilute tortie crossed into the Darkclan territory and called out for the tom. "Mysticfang! You out there?" as the words escaped her mouth she felt a cold chill trickle down her spine. She gingerly padded deeper into the territory, keeping her head hung as she let her light green gaze take in the natural wonder of the mountains. As per usual, Craneflight's mind's fantasy switch would flick and immediately stories of adventure and romance would play in her mind. What if a mountain lion found her? Then the mysterious tom would save her! Maybe she would have to fight someone to prove her worth to the clan? Craneflight was soon grinning to herself as she skipped from left to right pretending to dodge and weave, mimicking the moves she would pull to fight for her right to stay in the clan. She stopped dead in her tracks at the sound of pawsteps in the distance and she felt a her cheeks heat up with embarrassment. "H-Hello? Is is someone out there?" she called out once again, lowering her head to she her none threatening demeanor.

  • Mysticfang

To say the least, Mysticfang was surprised to see the young she-cat here, wondering onto the borders of Darkclan, and not only that getting herself lost-something that seemed to be a reoccurring theme with the she-cat that found him...amused by it, though he wasn't sure how she'll feel about seeing him once again, his left eye sealed shut with a terrible scar-permanently blind in that eye, but he decided to throw on a brave face, but not before surprising her a bit.

"You're lost arent you?" was his first words before appearing out of the shadows, his one eye staring at Craneflight, his heart almost leaping out of his chest as old feelings began to resurface, he had liked her the moment he had met her all those moons back when they both had been apprentice, and then after a while he heard nothing from her or by her and it saddened him-he thought she had moved on but hearing her call his name told him other wise, and it made him wonder how long it'll take for the she-cat to realize the massive brute that slipped out of the shadows was him, perhaps long or not long at all he wasn't sure it felt like an eternity since he had last seen the she-cat.

  • ◆◇◆ Briarheart had been trailing behind Mysticfang when she heard the cries of a lost feline. The scent of WindClan hit her scent glands as she opened the mouth to taste the air. What was even more shocking was the fact that whoever this visitor was, she seemed to be calling for Mysticfang. "You know who that is?" Briarheart asked, eyes narrowed in curiosity and suspicion. They approached only to find a mottled she-cat on their border.

Her companion asked if she was lost, which Briarheart simply frowned at. If she were lost, why would she be calling his name? She must have known she was near DarkClan territory at least. "What are you doing here?" she asked, stepping up beside Mysticfang who had first addressed her. This was no time for a reunion. That could come after the questions.

At the sound at the tom's cool remark, Craneflight felt her heart flutter and a warm sensation surge through her body. She lifted her head up and wore a wide grin as she sang, "Mystic! Mysticfang! I heard of your name at a ceremony a few moons ago." Her excitement taking control she almost didn't notice the tom's defining scar over his eye but as she bounded over to him she widened her almond-shaped eyes at the sight of it. "I thought about you a lot. My mysterious tom from another clan..." she breathed effortlessly. It had been a while since she had seen a face she had recognised and much like before the girl's anxiousness had gotten her to speak whatever came to mind. "And now you've got this badass scar. You've got to tell me the story beh-" she suddenly fell silent as another cat approached. She wore the same frightening demeanor Mysticfang had when Craneflight first met him. Immediately, the lanky warrior let her body sink low so she was no longer looking down at the black feline. She wished to pose no threat to them. Avoiding her striking stare and that of her Darkclan companion, she began her explanation, "I am looking for a new home." she stated abruptly. "I don't want to live in Windclan. I never did. My siblings have gone and I am left to be the abandoned daughter. of the respected Riverclan medic and a Windclan mother who was desperate for love. I want none of it. I tried to live by her ways. I want a new life." She peeked upwards towards Briarheart waiting for her response. From the corner of her eyes she watched Mysticfang, hoping she had not gotten him into any trouble, hoping she had said the right things.

  • Mysticfang

Mysticfang glanced over at Briarheart with a twitch of his ear in a greetings before she asked him if he knew Craneflight and he nodded "Shes a friend of mine, I helped her get back to her home" he explained to the warrior before his gaze flicked backed over to Craneflight and he chuckled a bit at her words-she was clearly happy to see him as much as he was to see her, and his gaze was soft and warm when he looked at her. "And I thought a lot about you too" he admitted to her softly and when she admitted about his scar being quite cool he was amused by it and nodded, though she quickly got intimidated by Briarheart's presence and he hummed listening to her words with a bit of surprise. She wanted to start anew, and that anew was here in Darkclan. That made his heart flutter even more-that meant he got to see her every time now.

  • ◆◇◆ The young warrior listened with a frown tugging on her lips as the newly introduced Craneflight went on about Mysticfang, even going so far as to call him ‘my mysterious tom’. Briarheart resisted the urge to gag. Not only was the mushiness between these supposed friends enough to make one sick, but the fact that they seemed to have feelings for each other — feelings that had developed when they were of different Clans — made her stomach turn. Love. She would never understand it. Even seeing her parents so desperately in love never made sense to her, and maybe it never would until she felt it, if she ever felt it. To her love, romantic love, had been tainted, tainted by the way her own mother left her and Owlgaze in DarkClan while she ran off to deal with the death of Pitchstar alone. So no, she didn’t understand it, and was quite put off by such a display from the two.

“I can go fetch EAGLESTAR. for you, then,” Briarheart mewed finally, when the two had stopped gushing over each other. Any chance to get out of this love fest. She already felt like the third wheel. She turned on her heels to run off into the woods, eyes flirting to Mysticfang for approval of her offer. He was her better after all, a newly named senior warrior of DarkClan, so while she was with him, she was under his command. Even if she was put off by his little ‘girlfriend’.

With fear welling in her eyes, Craneflight couldn't help draw back to her memories of first meeting Mysticfang. The similarities were obvious and it seemed that Darkclanners had a certain fearsome attitude about them however, much like the Senior Warrior at their first meeting she had not followed through with her aggression. Instead the black feline simply slipped away to fetch their leader and Craneflight began to stretch her legs once more. "You know, I think her and I could be great friends!" she giggled still excited over the possibility of her joining the clan. "Do you think Eaglestar will like me? I'm a little worried..." Her tall ears laid flat against her skull as she evaluated her demeanor against those of the clan she met. Was she going to stand out here too? Where they even going to let her join?!

It seemed like the Darkclanners where warriors who loved the pain whereas she was a pacifist. How was she suppose to keep up if she couldn't even get herself to unsheathe her claws. With that fleeting thought she turned to Mysticfang. She hadn't thought her plan through because her appearance could possibly cause a lot of trouble for him. Her saddened green eyes, glared deeply into the tom's eyes and she muttered "I'm - Im sorry about showing up out of no where... I didn't mean. I should of thought about it more but I didn't know where else to go."
