The circle shifted a bit, allowing room for the pair. Before they could even sit, Ethan’s bimbo shifted to put herself in the middle of the opening, giggling at Ethan. “Oh wow, okay,” Jamie said, surprised. The stranger from earlier came back by again, insisting they all had drinks in their hands.

The game started to the person left of Jamie. As each person carried on, she sipped on her drink, growing increasingly more tolerant of the liquid than earlier. She watched as each pair spun the bottle pairing them up with someone, and after the 7 Minutes, a few didn’t rejoin the circle, instead finding an empty room to continue their...7 Minutes.

It finally got around to Ethan’s turn, and Jamie for some reason grew jealous, realizing Ethan might have to go into the closet with someone else. Why was she secretly hoping the end of the bottle landed on her? She momentarily blamed it on the alcohol, not wanting to take responsibility for her thoughts.

    James West

James watched in amusement as half the couples didn’t even make it to the closet before jumping each other’s bones, while other pairs couldn’t be bothered. James was pretty surprised at the cup in Jamie’s hand, and how effortlessly she was throwing the drink back.

James sat forward a little bit once the bottle got around to Ethan. He wasn’t sure what Ethan did to girls in that closet, but half of them came out and followed him around like a puppy for the next week. Though, that was no different than him just giving attention to a girl, similar to the one that planted herself directly between Ethan and Jamie.

  • [aight before i reply, i was just wonderin', like, once ethan spins the bottle it lands on jamie but this could also be the time where maybe jamie learns a little about ethan and his background and stuff??? like just a some information but like it helps her know him better or soemthin'? idkidk]

ethan could feel the eyes of the blonde girl he was talking to earlier burning into his skull as he was sure she was hoping the get paired with him. to drown out his nerves, ethan drank as much of his drink as he possibly could within one go as if it were his first drink of water after coming out of a scorching desert. then, the bottle was spun and he silently watched it, watching is it began to slow and slow before... jamie? ethan looked up to jamie where the bottle had landed. he blinked, a bit in surprise and disbelief but he didn't show much emotion and held a simple straight face. ethan looked to the blonde close to him and he could feel the anger coming off of her. quickly, ethan stood up with the quickest glance at, jamie. "no backing out."

Jamie couldn’t hide her shock at the bottle stopping at her. She was secretly glad it wasn’t anyone else, yet still surprised. She looked up at Ethan as he repeated the game rules, and nodded in agreement. Finishing off what was in her cup, Jamie rose to her feet. She could feel the eyes of everyone watching, burning into the back of of skull as she followed Ethan to the closet. “W-we don’t have to do anything,” she stammered one they got into the closet, as if it weren’t obvious. It was a rather small closet, forcing the two to touch no matter where they faced. How people actually did anything in here was beyond Jamie.

She looked up at Ethan, and a pink tint spread across her cheeks. She’d never been this close with a guy before, and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t slightly intimidated. Though, she’d never admit it. “We can, um, just...talk?” She suggested, offering the only idea she had to make the seven minutes pass.

he didn't particularly enjoy being crammed into the closet, it was one of the reasons why playing this game was never one of his favorite past times but he was the one who volunteered, so who was he to complain? ethan tried to angle his tall body in a way as to try and make himself as comfortable as possible and made sure to see, jamie as best he could. he could tell she was a bit uncomfortable, whether it was from just being in the cramped closet or being close to him, he wasn't sure. when she offered for the two to just talk, ethan shrugged, he wasn't sure what else they were supposed to do.

ethan didn't really have problems being so close to, jamie but he sure was having some problems with having to touch her no matter how or where he moved. however, he tried not to keep his face as emotionless as possible as he continued to shift around in the slightest. "alright, well... uh..." ethan stood there for a moment, not really knowing what to say or talk about. every time his eyes made contact with jamie's, he'd quickly move them away towards the ground or towards the side. "is it just you and your dad? caught a glimpse of him when you got here..."

Jamie could sense Ethan’s discomfort from him shifting constantly. Jamie’s eyes widened as he asked her about her family. It’d always been a touchy subject, but she knew time had to pass some way. Besides, she didn’t mind this time that her and Ethan were getting to talk. “Yeah, she, uh, she passed away when I was younger,” she started, her voice quaint. “She was an alcoholic with a slight drug addiction, and those two things and driving in the rain don’t mix.” She looked down at her feet, nervously. She’d never talked about this with anyone, so she was shocked she was talking about it with Ethan. There was something on his face that resembled realization that she wasn’t who he thought she was. “Sorry, kind of heavy.” She shifted her body, but somehow it only brought her closer to him. “Sorry.” She apologized again, trying to move elsewhere. Who would pick such a tiny closet for a game?

at jame's answer, ethan kept quiet for a moment. he didn't think he'd get that kind of reply from her. ethan, himself, never really talked about his own family and background to too many people. there were only a few select of those who knew his full story. as she apologized, once for the stuff she just said and the second for having moved closer to him, ethan shook his head, "you're fine, about the whole family stuff and all this shifting around stuff. it is pretty goddamn cramped in here." ethan couldn't really do much to keep from getting too close, all he could really do was stand there and move around once in a while but besides that, there were no other options.

"i understand with the whole family stuff, my mom wasn't really a good person, either, mostly drugs with her." ethan seemed to quickly cut himself off before he could say more. he didn't like delving too deep into his life, especially with people who he wasn't too close with. "as for my dad, that's another story. before i came here, i lived with my aunt and uncle. my uncle's a whole 'nother story, too." ethan shrugged slightly. nobody knew of his uncle's imprisonment expect his immediate family. nobody, not even his closest friends were given that kind of information.

Jamie watched him closely, as a faint glimmer of what seemed to be Ethan opening up, showed up, before he quickly shut it down. She nodded her head at his words. “Parents suck,” she said, chuckling lightly. She continued to watch his movements in the dimly lit, cramped closet. “I don’t think you’re a bad guy, for what it’s worth. I know that don’t really know you, but I feel like we don’t have to hate each other.” She offered a small smile, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, which caused her hand to graze his hand for only a heartbeat. Her eyes widened and her chest tightened. Her stomach had tied itself in knots, and she had no idea why. There was a kind of intimacy in the tightness of the closet, whether you liked it or not, and it made Jamie nervous. This was not something she was used to at all.

  • [so sorry for the late replies, i've not had much time to reply to a lot of threads!]

"yeah, i guess they do," ethan would quietly mumble at her remark about parents. then, she spoke of how she didn't think of him as a bad guy and as the two of them didn't have to hate each other. ethan did nothing more than chuckle and shake his head, "brave of you to think that i'm not a bad guy but i'll let you off, you're right, you don't really know me yet." he didn't seem to mention anything about the two of them having to hate each other and he instead gave a quiet nod of agreement to that statement, a nod that was so slight and so small that it would have been hard to spot if one wasn't paying attention. as the silence set in, the closeness of the two and cramped space of the closet began to get to him. he continued to not make eye contact with, jamie, and quickly kept shifting his eyes away from hers. it was clear, though, that he wasn't doing it to be rude but mainly because he was uncomfortable, a bit embarrassed. finally, the silence and the strong intimacy of the closet got to him and the young man spoke up, "are those damn 7 minutes up yet? i can't stay in here forever."

  • no biggie! I understand!

    Jamie Rose

There was a knock on the door, signaling their time together had come to a close. “Yeah, I think it is,” Jamie nodded towards the door, allowing a slight smile to spread across her face. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t disappointed that her time with Ethan was over. Even in the cramped space, she enjoyed getting to know a bit more about Ethan. She opened the door, and she felt as though all eyes were on her. A blush crept up on her cheeks, as she avoided eye contact with everyone. There were a few girls who gave Jamie a glare, clearly from jealousy, and some who didn’t bother keeping their comments to themselves. “There’s no way Ethan did anything with her,” one said, blatantly pointing at Jamie. The other nodded in agreement. Jamie suddenly felt self-conscious, pulling the jacket she was wearing together, to cover her mid-drift. She’d forgotten just how mean girls could be— especially out of jealousy.
