Liam was making himself some food when he got the call. It was unusual for her to call, so something must be wrong. Liam made sure everything off before he left. He could come cook later. Liam headed over to Clementine’s dorm and knocked. He didn’t wear anything that nice. He didn’t change at all from what he was wearing. He had a hoodie on and some sweatpants. Liam didn’t have any classes till later.
-
Clementine had been sitting on the couch when she heard a knock on the door. She put the pregnancy test behind her back, still holding onto it as she was slowly getting up and she went to answer the door. Clementine unlocked the door and she opened it. Though she didn't even relax when she saw Liam as she did not know how he was going to react when she told him the news. "H...Hey." Clementine said to Liam, stepping to the side to let Liam into the room though she seemed to be staring at the ground.
-
“Hey.” Liam said. He stepped inside and glanced around. “What’s wrong?” He asked Clementine. Liam could tell something was wrong. It was pretty easy to tell. She was looking at the ground and seemed tense.
-
Clementine closed the door once Liam stepped inside and she leaned against the door. She was remaining very silent for a moment, before she mustered up the courage to take out the pregnancy test that she had been hiding behind her back and she sharply inhaled before speaking. "I'm pregnant." She blurted it out.
-
Liam was shocked. He sat down to think about it. “Damn...” He said after a while. “You’re keeping it, right?” He asked. “I get it if you want an abortion, but I want to help you raise the baby.” He said.
-
Clementine exhaled. "Of course I'm keeping it, I want to keep it." She said with a slow nod of her head. "I don't approve of abortions anyway." Clementine also said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "But, I'm happy that you wanna help me raise it. I thought you would be mad when I told you." Clementine mumbled.
-
Liam laughed a bit and shook his head. “I’ve always wanted a kid. It’s not the best timing, but we’ll make it work.” He said. “I could never be mad at you.”
-
Clementine managed to smile at Liam. And she moved away from the door so that she could hug Liam tightly. “But won’t we have to tell our parents about it? You already know how strict my father is.” Clementine told him as she had her arms wrapped around Liam’s waist.
-
Liam held her close. “We’re gonna wait a bit then. I doubt my parents will be overly excited, but we’ll be okay. I’m sure they’ll be supportive no matter what.” Liam said. “We’ll tell your dad when we’re ready.”
-
Clementine was seeming to visibly relax now in the hug which showed she was relaxing and calming down a good bit. She nodded her head a little in agreement of what Liam said. Clementine was not sure on when Abe would be ready to tell her father about the pregnancy, she was sure that he was going to be mad about it. "Alright." She said. "But I don't think I would feel comfortable going to my classes when my stomach starts to get like a balloon." She murmured.
-
Liam nodded. “I’ll fill in for you, or you could move to online classes.” He suggested. Liam played with her hair to try and get her to calm down.
-
“Are you sure you can fill in for me?” Clementine asked, letting Liam play around with her hair as it made her feel calmer now. She seemed to lean against him, her grip on him starting to loosen up a bit as she was feeling rather happy that Liam was going to help her out with the baby.
-
Liam nodded. “Of course. As long as I don’t have a class at the same time.” He said. “Do you want water or anything?” Liam offered her.
-
Clementine gave a small smile towards Liam and she nodded. She would definitely need to relax while she was pregnant. “I think I could use a glass of water.” She nodded her head. Clementine knew she was going to have lots of cravings and she would most likely consume foods that she usually avoids.
-
Liam nodded. He let her go and went to the sink to pour her a glass of water. He needed to start treating her better if he expected to raise a baby with her.
-
Clementine went to go sit down, leaning back against the couch some. She waited for Liam to come out of the kitchen and she briefly had her arms folded over her stomach as she slumped down. She figured she was going to be tired a lot.
-
Liam came back and sat beside her, handing her the glass of water. “This is kinda exciting to think about. Like, it shakes things up a bit.” He said. “Like a new chapter of life. It’s something different.”
-
Clementine took the glass of water and she began to take some sips from the glass. Then she turned her head to look at Liam when the other was speaking. Clementine laughed a bit at Liam as she agreed with him. "Do you want the gender to be a surprise?" She asked.
-
Liam’s eyes went big. “Do you know already?” He asked. “I want to know if you know.” Liam said. He held her hand excitedly.
