  • Among the swaying grass of the meadows just outside of Wind Haven, a figure of shadow swept across the landscape. It may have been mistaken for a trick of the light if not for the shock of rainbow that trailed behind it.

    Radiant was grateful for their prismatic features. Without the extra color they might be stuck on the border for a year before anyone noticed them; they weren't great at calling out for help. Hopefully someone would notice that a visitor was blazing through the outskirts of the meadows and come to investigate.

    The dark lion let their gait slow to a like before stopping just outside the border to Wind Haven. Their tail flicked, giving away their slight apprehension, but their expression remained calm. Friendly. They closed their silver white eyes and let the wind wash over their fur like an old friend welcoming them home. They'd never been here before, but the wind would always recognize them.

    Now Radiant just needed an actual creature to let them in.

  • At this point, Kalashnikova had given up thinking that he wasn't going to greet anymore newcomers at the border. It seemed like he just somehow crossed paths with many of them as he was exploring the territory of his home. Of course, it wasn't the worst thing that could happen, it was far from it. It was just the aspect of going through the same motions over and over again that turned him away. But since he was here, it wasn't like he could avoid it.

    The stranger had a rather unique appearance, Niko would note. They seemed devoid of color aside from the tufts that trailed from their head to their shoulders, and the shock of color on their tail. Rainbows. They were rather uncommon on the form of a sentient being, Niko would note, though it wasn't exactly unheard of. In fact, the leopard's dark rosettes glimmered like an oil-slick when exposed to direct sunlight. However, none of that was important at the moment. Niko would approach the stranger, his face a steady neutral though softening for a moment to offer them a friendly smile. "What brings you to Wind Haven?"

  • At the sight of the other feline, Radiant gave a warm grin. Thankfully that hadn't taken long at all. As much as they didn't mind enjoying the breeze and the view of Mount Kodiak from afar, waiting to explore the rest of the windswept territory would have left them pacing a hole in the ground.

    Radiant let their head dip in greeting before meeting the stranger's eyes. "Hiya! I was actually hopin' I could join here, to be honest. It sure looks like a lovely home." Their gaze swept over the green of the meadows and the peaks of mountain that separated them from the sky. They very nearly forgot they were still having a conversation, lost in the beauty. With a quick blink, Radiant brought their smile back to the feline in front of them. "Oh but I should introduce myself before I go inviting myself in! I'm Radiant Requiem. Radiant for short, Rad for shorter."

  • She may have never seen rainbows on a lion before, but she had seen herself in a reflection enough times to not be entirely surprised by the discovery. Radiant, however, seemed much more wellspoken than herself (which wasn't necessarily a feat that was hard to accomplish.) The young Vicar General approached just as they introduced themselves, figuring that they were joining. She had missed their prior statement, but considering they brought no gift basket and didn't smell of a foreign Clan, she figured she was right.

    "Radiant," she tested the name on her tongue, though her expression never shifted from neutral-distaste, "Well, welcome to the club. I'm Cassiopeia, Cass is fine. I'm the one who runs this whole show," regrettably, "So if you need help, try to ask someone else."

  •   well now. racking her eyes over the mostly raven lion, callisto would smile to herself, her eyes gleaming with a sort of mirthful glee. she had to admit, the splashes of rainbow fur was something she quite enjoyed, and was quite the anomaly. she'd never seen such a pattern on any animal, and she appreciated the uniqueness this stranger brought along with them.

    "hello, and welcome, radiant! i'm callisto." she'd greet and introduce herself simultaneously, giving the colorful feline a large grin, settling herself besides cass.

    // rushed whoops

  • The continued approach of more people made Radiant's smile widen. Not only did they not have to wait at the border for a day and a half, but they were already getting to know who they'd be living alongside now. The tip of their tail flicked like a rainbow moth buzzing with happiness.

    "Nice to meet y'all, Cass and Callisto!" The lion dipped their head, enthused by the naming alliteration. They weren't entirely sure how much Cass had been joking in their statement, so Radiant merely gave a polite laugh. "I'm sure I won't have too much trouble getting around." Hell, not knowing anything was half the fun of joining!
