  • Tony Stark

Tony stomped forward towards the cliff, the boots of the mark 1 creating notable noise amongst the other students. Not surprising considering the power armor. Even with the modifications to weight and build it was one of his heaviest armors. He had kept his visor up allowing him to see the arm he's modifying much much easier. "the pumps should be fixed up, the throwers hopefully don't explode again" he muttered holding the screwdriver in his mouth. This was then spat out onto the cliff behind him. He'd pick it up later.

He arrived at one of the platforms and let the armor's feet stand on the metal. Bit worrying when it creaked. Still hopefully it wasn't too important. Tony looked around himself looking at the other students. He honestly felt overdressed in the armor. Sure his least advanced, didn't want to show his bigger guns yet, but noticeable compared to the weapons the others used. "wonder if anyone else even uses this heavy armor, aura is quite strong" he thought as his suit's limited systems started activating.

  • Clarice Fong

Head low, Clarice avoided eye contact with the other students as they made their towards the cliff. She hated the blatant stares she normally got for her odd facial markings and elf-like ears. Instead, she kept her gaze on the black combat boots on her feet. She was dressed in her usual outfit, granted she didn't have too many since the orphanage could never afford to buy her new clothes so she normally wore the same outfit on repeat, but it consisted of soft black leather pants and a dark purple tunic-like top. Small pieces of silver armor adorned her shoulders, chest, and wrists. They were the only things the orphanage had bothered to buy her when she was accepted into Beacon, mainly because they didn't want her to die while still under their care.

Strapped to her thighs were her twin long daggers, one resting on each leg. A subconscious habit of hers, Clarice had pulled one out to start flipping around in her hand in skilled and graceful movements. Within a few more steps, she came to a stop on one of the metal plates, placing herself next to a kid dressed in a full on metal suit (Tony). Her bright green eyes kept flashing over to observe his suit while her hand still absentmindedly twirled her dagger. This, of course, used to scare the daylights out of the orphanage keepers who swore that she would one day lose control and either hurt herself or another child.

Miraak | Male | Atmoran | First Dragonborn

Miraak looked over at the other students, unimpressed. He honestly didn't care about anyone else, he would rather fight solo. Unfortunately, that wasn't how Beacon worked. He stepped onto the platform, ready to get this assignment over with. He noted that the metal platforms they were told to stand on were launch pads, and three words came to mind to help him with the inevitable fall. Vaguely, he wondered how the others were going to deal with it.

  • Tony Stark

Tony looked at his armor making sure to move various joints. When he first used it after remaking it one of the knees wouldn't bend. He learnt to test the suit after that. However this time everything was good, the upgraded joints made moving it feel a bit less clunky to move. He chuckled when he noticed the forest below the cliff. He'll have to be careful with the throwers.

He heard the head master begin to speak. Something about the rules of the initiation. He has knowledge on this already from a couple of friends. First person you see is your partner and part of your team, you'll have to find an artifact and the forest could potentially kill you. He liked the sound of it. "good time to test the upgrades, especially the new system" he muttered as he lowered his faceplate allowing him to see the suit's systems. He was ready to start soon.

Miraak | Male | Atmoran | First Dragonborn

Miraak got into position as he noticed students being launched one by one into the forest below. He didn't like the idea of the first person he saw being his partner. He just wouldn't have to see anybody, then.
Then they were launched themselves. He let himself fly through the air for a few moments, before finally shouting "Feim zii gron!" which turned him etheral. A form that couldn't be harmed, but also couldn't harm. It would last long enough to protect him from hitting the ground. Then he could go about finding that Artifact.

  • Clarice Fong

It took a moment after the first scream of a student for Clarice to notice the students being launched into the air. Eyes widening she stopped twirling her dagger just in time to be launched into the air. Rather than let out a scream, she kept her mouth shut to prevent bugs from flying in. It was moments like these where she was glad she kept her hair pulled back into a braid, even though it showed off her elf-like ears.

Most of the students launched before her had already done something to slow their fall, unlike Clarice who allowed herself to fall much closer to the ground than others. Activating her semblance, she raised one hand that glowed violet before a rip in space appeared before her. A second rip in space appeared a few feet off the ground, and as she sailed through the first one she quickly shot out of the second upwards from the ground to slow her momentum. Twisting her body so that she could see the forest floor, Clarice landed on her feet similar to a cat with her hands just barely grazing the ground to stabilize herself. "Well... That was certainly exciting. What on Earth would they do if a student panicked and ended up dying because they couldn't land?" She muttered to herself as she started her hike through the forest.

  • Tony Stark

Tony's eyes had widened like hell when he saw the students being launched. He really should've brought a more advanced suit. However before he had time to brace himself he was also launched. The suit surprisingly managed to be launched as far as other students but was falling much faster. Much faster than expected. He'd survive but the area might get damaged from the impact.

He quickly activated the temporary flight systems which slowed the fall up until he was level with the top of a tree. The landing won't be as damaging here. So he cut the flight and felt himself crash into the ground. However as always he had some style and managed a three point landing. In a small crater and with his ears ringing from the smash. "should've really brought the Model 20, I could've flown for much longer at least, what the hell is wrong with Ozpin for him to make this the initiation" he muttered as he exited the crater and began to go through the forest keeping an eye out for others.

Miraak | Male | Atmoran | First Dragonborn

Miraak stumbled as an impact shook the earth below him, and he noted that some rubble flew through his still ethereal head. The effect wore off soon after, though, leaving him vulnerable. Not like that was a big deal, though. He was tempted to turn around and see which idiot it was that smashed into the ground, but decided if he wanted to remain partnerless, he should avoid looking at others as much as possible. So, instead he started on his way towards the artifacts, unaware he was within seeing distance of Tony.
