✧ She'd insisted on the patrol with her apprentice despite the ever so tragic timing of her poisoning. There's a part of Nadine that thrills at the prospect of how much this can benefit her. Even just patrolling with Bellona when she's recovering must scream strength and determination to anyone who doubts her ability to lead alongside Jace. Not that there's anything to doubt - she's a wonderful Queen, fair and just, with a killer sense of humor. Hadn't she kidnapped that one loser for everyone to torture? Hadn't they loved that?
And now Nadine gets to train a mini-her to serve under her. Her attention drifts from the landscape to Lola, taking in the lioness's frame and smirking. Training aside, she's very responsive to the serval's flirting. "What's up, hun? Looks like your mind's real far away from here," she asks (with an emphasis on the weakness of her voice,) to draw the attention back to her. If they're patrolling, she might as well try and get something out of it. Oh, a secret would be so fun! Nadine can only dream and, well, make it happen.
