  • Grayson smiled knowingly, giving a slight shake of his head as if in disapproval. "Hazel. Why are you trying to deny it? I can see the way you're fiddling with your fingers... The blush that's on your cheeks. I'm many things, but I'm not a fool." Grayson chuckled. He lifted a hand to tuck a strand of gold-tinted hair delicately behind the fae's ear, his pupils taking the features that made up the girl's face. He grazed her jaw line with his little finger before allowing his hand to fall back to his side. With that, he turned back to face the window, admiring the setting once again. It truly was quite the view he had up there. "Tell me why I should hire you." He spoke without looking at her.

  • Hazel-----

    Morris

Hazel began to daze as Grayson’s finger lightly caressed her jaw. In one small touch it felt as though her entire body caught fire. Her knees felt as though they were going to give in, but she did her best to stay strong. His question caught her off guard, as for a moment she was not in an interview with him, but instead somewhere completely different. She gathered her thoughts and gave the best answer she could. β€œI’ll do for you what no other assistant has been able to before,” she said, confidently. β€œThere won’t be anybody that could even closely compare.”

  • The boy smiled at Hazel's confident reply. There were so many ways he could spin off her words. "Oh, is that so?" He interrogated, turning back towards her with a lifted brown and a crooked half-smile. "What exactly will you do for me that no other assistant has been able to before?" Grayson liked this girl. He'd had plenty of women in his life; bashful ones, confident ones, anxious ones, fiery ones, ones that would do anything he asked. But, he never recalled one that seemed to possess all those traits at once. It was attractive to say the least. Grayson knew this wasn't a normal interview, but then again, he estimated that he wasn't a normal person. And neither was she. Perhaps that's what he liked so much about her.

Hazel grinned, amused at her ability to intrigue him. β€œI’d release every bit of stress you had,” she grinned coyly. β€œNormal assistants go through the motions from day to day, but I’m one in a million. That’s how I know I’m the one you want...to hire.” She added the last part quickly. β€œYou and I both know I’ve gone above and beyond already.” Her confidence shocked even her, but now it was coming so naturally, that she didn’t dare stop. She crossed her arms, challenging him while absentmindedly enhancing her chest. β€œI’ve got a question for you, now.” A mischievous look spread across her face.

  • Grayson listened to the woman's words with interest. Her sudden confidence had taken him by surprise. And Grayson Masarotto was rarely surprised. The corners of his lips still pulled into a smug smile as he intently watched her. He could hear his father's voice in the back of his mind scolding him. Understandably so - this had to be the least professional interview ever conducted. But, Grayson found himself enjoying it more than the traditional meetings he held prior to Miss Morris. When she informed him that she had questions of her own, the male raised a brow quizzically. "I usually save the questions for the end of the interview, Miss Morris. But, I'm curious. What would you like to know?" He caught onto the mischievous glint in her eye and felt his interest in the fae double

Hazel looked at him, the challenging look never fading. She took a step towards him, so they were mere inches apart. "Why wouldn't you hire me?" She asked. She leaned forward and straightened his collar on his shirt a bit, struggling a bit to keep her hands from travelling down his body. Her mind wondered what his body looked like under the formal clothes he was wearing. She tried to force the thoughts away, but the only image running through her mind was her unbuttoning every button on his shirt just to see. If Hazel got the job here, how would she ever focus on anything other than him and what he looked like naked?

Her eyes flashed in curiosity, wondering what was going through Grayson’s mind. She was almost positive it was more professional than what was going through her own.

  • The millionaire's grin widened slightly, bemused by Hazel's actions combined with her daring retort. He didn't move his coffee-hued orbs from her face as she neared him, even as her slender fingers smoothed out his black collar. "Perhaps because I can't have a pretty little thing like you running around my work space. How am I expected to conduct meetings and make deals with such distractions?" He inquired flirtatiously, Grayson took the girl's hands in his own palms, carefully removing them from his shirt before releasing them back at the girl's side. Part of him wanted to take her on his desk, right then and there, right in front of the whole city. But, the businessman in him - or, more like his father in him - alerted him that he had a hotel to run. It would be fun to mess around, but he didn't need another scandal on his record. Alexander had made it very clear that they were walking on a thin line. A little begrudgingly, Grayson told himself that he needed to act professional. "I don't think I have any more questions for you, Miss Morris." He dismissed her, turning away to look out the window again, appearing disinterested.

Hazel’s cheeks heated when he told her of his reasoning. Clearly his mind was in the same place as hers. It would be quite difficult to work professionally. She gave him a curt nod, watching as his gaze turned back to the window.

She started on her way to the door, only turning back once to place Grayson in her view. What was she thinking, behaving in such a way? She all but blew her opportunity at this job.

  • (he'll be back for her, don't worry >:D)

Grayson felt a thorn of guilt prick his heart, feeling the girl looking at him from the corners of his chocolate eyes. He had been harsh. He had led her on, and then dismissed her. It was a sour deal to make, even for Mr. Masarotto. He had only meant to have some fun, being so tired of the same dull interviews one after another, but he had quickly regretted his lack of professionalism. Hazel may have been a great candidate. She was pretty, confident, and she obviously knew how to adapt quickly to different scenarios. They were all traits he looked for in an assistant. Yet, he had ruined this one for a temporary bout of fun. The male closed his optics, releasing a slow exhale through his nostrils, as Hazel made her departure. He felt bad, although he didn't show it. He continued to face the window, not wanting to have to see the poor fae as she walked away. He didn't even make the effort to say goodbye. Just kept facing the big, big city that he had so much control over.

    (ENTER MIMI)

Aware of the important interview, Mimi had sent Hazel a text just a few minutes ago. It read: 'hey girl!!!!! how'd it go??!!??" The latina had planned on taking her roommate out for drinks, either to celebrate or to drown out sorrows. Either way, she knew that a bar would be the perfect setting. The tan-skinned girl was already getting her pre-party on with a strawberry martini that she sipped on the front porch of her shared house.

    {hopefully soon>:(}

Too exhausted from the whirlwind of events, Hazel FaceTimed her roommate. It rang for barely a second before her trusty partner in crime answered. β€œI totally flaked,” she whimpered once she walked out of the doors of the huge building. β€œIt was the strangest interview I had ever been in. She proceeded to tell her about the attractive yet mysterious man that captures her eye as soon as she walked through the door, and how flirtatious the entire scene was, right up until he dismissed her. β€œPlease tell me there’s a drinking plan for tonight?” If there was one thing Hazel could count on Mimi for, it was a damn good time.

  • (i got a plan >:D>:D>:D)

Mimi uncrossed her legs at the sight of an incoming FaceTime from Hazel. This was either very good, or very bad. Mildly concerned, she swiped to answer it.

The female listened in shock as her roomie detailed the events of the interview, standing up and slowly strolling across the porch, getting more serious as the conversation went on. "Oh, girl. Drinks on me tonight. This is an occasion worthy of getting totally shitfaced." She spoke dramatically. She pursed her lips, shaking her head. "You get back here, put on the sexiest outfit you got, and I'll help you with your hair. We can talk more about this Grayson Masarotto over a couple glasses of wine."

  • Hazel-----

    Morris

Hazel smiled. This was the best news she’d received all day. She drove back to their shared apartment, searching through her closet. Sexy wasn’t typically Hazel’s thing. She tapped her lip with the tip of her finger, before she finally remembered a dress she bought a few months ago.

She slipped on the short black dress, that was extremely low cut, showing her breasts immensely. They were her best asset, right? After slipping her shoes on, she walked into Mimi’s room, wearing an anxious smile. She only hoped he looked okay.

  • "Hazel! There's something I think you want to see. Hazel, you better walk quickly woman, else I'm gonna steal these for myself."

Mimi was holding a bouquet of red roses in her arms, smiling gleefully. She had gone out to the front porch to collect the martini glass she'd forgotten, but was instead pleasantly surprised by an enormous floral vase. "Aren't they gorgeous? I hate to admit it, but maybe Jay is like, a somewhat decent guy for you?" She fussed over the soft petals. The bouquet hadn't come with a note, but the girl could only assume they had come from Hazel's not-so-secret admirer. Jay had been obviously crushing on Hazel for as long as anyone could remember. The roses must have been his attempt to up his game. "I am so going to put these in some water." She purred, moving into the kitchen to tend to the flowers.

  • Hazel-----

    Morris

Hazel stared in awe at the flowers. Them coming from Jay was a bit of a shock, though. She pulled out her phone started to type a quick thank you to Jay. Maybe he wasn't such a bad guy, after all. After hitting send, she couldn't help but to smile from ear to ear at the flowers that were sitting in water now. She watched as MiMi snapped pictures for her overly aesthetic Instagram page. "Maybe I should invite him out tonight," she said hesitantly, knowing the two of them don't have the cleanest of friendships. "Unless you wanted it to be a girl's night, then that's totally cool too."

  • Thanks xD Let's hope I don't get banned for this thread either lmao

Mimi pursed her lips at Hazel's ponderings. Although she knew Hazel and Jay were friends, she had never gotten along with him. "Tonight is a girlie's night." She spoke after a moment. Her dark brown optics studied her friend's face. She knew it had been a rough day for her. "Okay, maybe he can come later when I'm too drunk to care. But, let me at least get through a few cosmopolitans before you invite him." She decided to add with a laugh, tossing her orbs in a gentle roll. If it would help Hazel, she felt she could endure Jay for a night. At least with the help of some alcohol. "At least those roses were beautiful, right? I mean that was so nice of him..." The latina's voice drowned out, getting lost in her thoughts. She'd never liked Jay, mainly because of how inconsiderate he'd always been. He was a known player, and openly admitted to have cheated on several of his past relationships. Roses definitely did not seem like his thing, even if he was head-over-heels for Hazel. But... if he hadn't gotten the flowers... Then who did? With a slight jerk of her head, the fae pushed the thoughts from her brain. "I'm going to put on my heels and make us both a cocktail. By the time we're done, I think the bars will be all warmed up for us." She said, turning and moving into the kitchen. She was wearing a tye-dye dress completed with a studded black pelt and purse combo, and she was heading for some sleek black-heeled boots to match.

  • Hazel-----

    Morris

Hazel nodded in response to her roommate’s stipulation for Jay coming out tonight. She was extremely thankful to have such a great best friend, that despite her disapproval of Jay, she’d still rather see me happy.

The brunette sat at the bar where the roses were sitting, swooning over them. This was extremely unexpected, especially from Jay, but somehow he had to have known her day was going to trash. After that interview...her mind trailed off as her thoughts flashed back to Grayson, and their almost too intimate encounter. She could physically feel her face heat up and her heart rate go through the roof. The way his lips looked consumed her mind, and even more so when she thought of them pressed against hers.

Hazel was immediately ripped from her day dream when she saw Mimi walk into the kitchen with her. β€œOh my gosh you look amazing!” She exclaimed.

  • Mimi smiled brightly at her roommate's compliment, her lips painted a bright red. She gave a small twirl to show off her outfit, flipping her dark ponytail in the process. "Oh, Hazel, you flatter me." She beamed, making her way up besides her friend. The latina's ebony optics trailed over Hazel's own look, scrutinizing her style with an approving eye. "And you look good enough to eat. No wonder that Mr. Masarotto acted the way he did." She sighed, giving a small shake of her head as she recollected the strange interview. "If you want me to go down to that hotel and put my high heel where the sun doesn't shine, you wouldn't have to ask twice."

  • Hazel-----

    Morris

Hazel let out a soft laugh at her roommate’s words. β€œTo be fair, we both acted that way,” she said with a smile. Her face lit up when Mimi complimented her. β€œThat threat sounds tempting, but I’d much prefer to down a few drinks right now. Why are we still standing around!”

    **quick time skip**

The lights of the bar shined bright against the night sky. Hazel felt giddy at the thought of being able to drink her day away. As the girls walked in together, Hazel immediately scopes out the bar, pointing it out to Mimi. β€œReady to get started?” She said eagerly. Hazel had never been much of a drinker, but she felt as though today’s events called for a little alcohol.

  • Mimi clicked into the bar alongside Hazel, basking in the purplish lighting. The Midnight Ink was one of the busiest nightbclubs in town, and she knew it was the perfect setting to forget about a rough day like the one Hazel had just endured. "Now, I don't know about you... But, I'm going to drink until my feet no longer hurt in these heels! And I suggest you do the same - especially until you can forget about stupid Mr. Masarotto, as well." She suggested, placing a manicured hand on her hip. She made her way over to the bar and ordered two shots. "Drinks on me tonight, baby girl. And we're going hard." She grinned, raising the small cup in a cheers to her roommate before downing it.

The music was pumping through Mimi's veins. Her head was a blur but she didn't care. She didn't know how many drinks she'd had, or how long they'd been dancing, but she was having a great time. It felt as if nothing could ruin the night. It was going perfect. "Hazel! I need more tequila!" The tan-skinned fae hollered over the pounding bass. "I'll be right back, girl! Don't! Go! Anywhere!" She yelled, still swaying her hips drunkenly to the beat. Whirling in her raven heels, the pretty woman clacked away a little tipsily. "To the bar!!" She exclaimed to no one in particular as she made her way through the crowd.

"Hazel?" Jay called out, thinking he'd spotted the brunette through the crowd. Coming closer to her, he cupped a hand to his mouth and spoke her name louder. "Hazel!!" He gave her a wave and smiled at her. He was surprised that Mimi wasn't with her.
