¤history
TorrentClan's origins were not one that was grand or for the best of intentions or purposes. It had been a disorganized group settled upon survival; of which broke off occasionally during disputes or oftentimes petty fights over small things. However, the band of rogues had a leader, a tom named Rush whom had forced the cats together under a tyrannical rule. Those whom stepped out of line were quickly abandoned and left on their own to either fend for themselves or die trying. Those whom remained lived underneath Rush's rules; the primary one being what he says must be carried out, no questions asked. And so, as the rogue group followed Rush, they had suffered plenty under his leadership.
Those whom disobeyed oftentimes were left without food as punishment, or forced to bear horrid beatings until near death, their fellow rogues being forced to remain uncaring and unmoved by their suffering. Diseases had oftentimes shown up, and diseased cats were quickly discarded by Rush and cast off to be eliminated. The elderly were also eliminated upon them becoming far too old to be of use, leaving them behind or slaughtered by Rush's own claws. The group truly was tortured under their leader, facing each day with fear in their hearts and uncertainty lying within their souls.
However, out of desperation to survive, the rogues had stayed and followed Rush to what he promised would be their new home. The journey had left the moral of the group exhausted and battered, however they soon reached a place that had surpassed their wildest dreams. It was a lush forest, ripe with prey with a flowing river. Yet, unknown to the rogues whom quickly took to adventuring within the territory, they were already detected by cats whom had already settled there moons before they had shown up.
Soon, the fighting would come, and with it the rogue group battered and exhausted from their journey had refused to back down. The fighting lasted through the harsh heat of greenleaf, killing many in the violent fight for their lives. Rush's leadership did little to help those whom were struggling to keep going, already being pushed to their limits and nearly beyond it, his punishments for whenever they got pushed back by the strange cats were always severe and horrid, making many wish for a swift death while barely managing to keep the strangers at bay.
However, rest wouldn't come easy. Changes needed to be made. In their already shaky standing, the rogue cats had to make a decision of which many agreed was necessary. Overthrow Rush was their primary objective before dealing with the other problem of having the strange cats attacking them. And so, underneath the cover of night in the corner of the forest they had been pushed back to, the rogues had turned against their leader, in their sheer numbers they had overwhelmed the massive cat, slaughtering him and finally taking their first step toward progress.
Then their attention turned to their second problem; dealing with the angry cats whom had took residencey in the area first. Having no desire to leave the area, the rogues appointed what would be their representative, meeting with the leader of the strange cats and offering up a temporary truce as both sides were facing exhaustion, having lost many to the constant fighting. A truce had been made with the strangers, although through many tense meetings and disagreements, the rogues had managed to get a piece of territory near the lake, it is here that they had gained their new home.
However, it wouldn't be long until the cats would be touched by StarClan, their ancestors making a connection with them and thus appointing TorrentClan's first leader and first medicine cat, bestowing upon them a new life to live. Yet, with rogue roots still remaining in the clan, adapting to new life isn't so easy.
Moons after their first connection with StarClan, TorrentClan now is regaining their strength and growing stronger, taking claim fully to the territory of the lake. However, their boldness will not go unchallenged, thus causing tensions to begin to rise again with their neighbor, ScarletClan. As they take pawsteps toward their future, the path ahead only seems to be bloody and uncertain as both internal tensions and outside tensions threaten to tear the clan apart.
¤territory
Lying to the south of ScarletClan, TorrentClan's territory consists of the forest surrounding the river that feeds the lake, stretching out to their border with ScarletClan which is the Sunning Rocks, a popular place for cats to rest upon the rocks themselves. However it is advised to not go near the rocks alone as ScarletClan cats still frequent the rocks themselves.
Further inland, TorrentClan's camp resides upon a shore of the lake, the walls of the camps leaving little to protect the actual camp itself, although sticks have been taken from the forest nearby to form a wall of sorts around the camp. Their dens are made out of hardened mud and packed with stone, all of which are identical to each other. Their territory stretches outward around the lake and further south until there is a beaver dam, although it is recommended to not traverse near the beavers as they are aggressive.
