☆ Not easy at all. Because he's so distant and has trust issues, it's hard to even get to know him even more then what he shows to everyone around him. He tends to be hard to understand and will be rude so it just makes things even harder when trying to get to know him. He has to really trust you to where he'll let you into his personal bubble.

IMPORTANT FACTS:

☆ Markell doesn't drink. He actually dislikes the taste of beer or any alcoholic drinks at that. Markell will only ever drink soft drinks or, pretty much all the time, water. Sure, special occasions he'll probably drink, but even then it's never anything too hard. Even trying to get him to drink is a chore on its own. Though if you do manage to get him drunk, somehow. He's pretty much the same.

☆ The necklace that Markell wears pretty much all the time is something his brother gave him when they were kids. After he had to go off with his mother he never saw much of Matthias so having the necklace around always reminded him of their times together. Even though he sees Matthias a lot nowadays, he still likes the familiar feeling the necklace gives him.

☆ Markell has been to conversion therapy twice due to the fact he was sexually attracted to both genders and romantically attracted to guys. His father had forced him to do it due to the fact he was unwilling to comprehend that his son was bisexual. It had left Markell very confused and questioning his sexuality, actually making him force himself to try and be heterosexual since he was manipulated into thinking that was what was right and what Markell was feeling was wrong and against religion. His mother, seeing how frustrated he was over this, had talked to him and explained that who he was attracted to wasn't wrong whatsoever. It took some years, but Markell came to accept his sexuality and not feel ashamed about it. Though the acts in the conversion therapy still affect him.

☆ Markell actually has a lot of other hobbies besides reading, which he's hugely known for. A few of those activities that are his favorites being skateboarding, golfing, swimming, and motorcycle riding. He doesn't really show much of those interests to many people, though his brother does know about his skateboarding hobby since the two actually skateboard together a lot of the time.

☆ Markell has Multiple Personality Disorder. These personalities don't usually ever come out very often as he has control of his emotions and is always pretty chill. Markell doesn't seem aware of when a personality kicks in, so when someone brings it up, he's confused at first before getting embarrassed that he had acted in some kind of way unexpectedly. There seems only to be three known ones that come out frequently.

☆ Markell tends to have these weird habits that he does. Whenever he gets embarrassed by something adorable or just someone making him laugh, he'll cover his mouth and try to hide his face while also trying not to laugh or show that he's embarrassed. Sometimes, Markell will even scratch the side of his head, in front of his ear, if he is leaning against his hand and just look away, trying to keep a straight face. Though it never works out for him as he just ends up laughing in the end and gets even more embarrassed.

☆ He really loves the rain. Even though it would seem like depressing weather, it actually helps Markell when it comes to keeping calm. Though, he hates very hard rainstorms but loves the gentle rains, even the drizzles. Just something peaceful, he'll enjoy it. Markell usually uses that time to read or play guitar to pass the time.

☆ Even though Markell's smoking is for stress relief purposes, he has become quite addicted to it much to his brother's dismay. Since Matthias worried so much about his brother, he went out of his way to get him an alternative if he ever started getting jittery and twitchy after taking a break. Matthias ended up getting his brother lollipops and giving them to Markell and telling him to put one in his mouth if he ever had the need to smoke again during his break time. Because Markell cares a lot for his brother and understands his concern for him, he did what he suggested. Now, Markell has started doing this quite a lot, and it actually helps. He's unsure of why it does though.

☆ Markell has many sensitive spots on his body. These spots include his fingertips, sides, collarbone, and ear. He really likes the feeling of his fingertips being kissed. It seems to tickle him but also embarrass him as well. It's also a huge plus if you stare at him while doing it, it just makes him melt. His sides are extremely sensitive. If you were to touch them, he'd flinch and shiver. You actually don't even just have to feel them, even the smallest hover of your hand over his sides would get a reaction out of him, mainly because the presence of someone's hands on his sides embarrasses him because he kind of knows they're going to grab them. It's more of a ticklish feeling, but it still gets to him. His collarbone is another sensitive spot as he really enjoys having it kissed or bit. He could say the same about his neck, but his collarbone gets more of a reaction from that kind of action. His ear is a spot that most wouldn't expect would be sensitive for him, but it actually is. Whenever his earlobe is nibbled on, it really turns him on. Honestly, having any part of his ear nibbled on is a turn on for him and will get him to shiver and physically melt. Of course, he might have other sensitive spots on his body, but those are kind of much harder to find.

☆ As a kid, Markell resembled very much to a girl. It had come to the point that he was always mistaken as one. It could have been because of his girly appearance, plus his voice didn't exactly give him justice either. He was never even called his actual name, just "little girl" a lot of his life by the adults, though his friends called him by his name "Markell." His girlish appearance actually managed to confuse Matthias as he told Lokki that he found Markell to be a "pretty girl" until later finding out by Bernard that Markell was actually a boy. It was a funny mistake on Matthias' part as Markell never even realized that Matthias thought he was a girl until his brother had admitted it to him after Lukas and Berwald taunted him about the ordeal. Being mistaken as a girl never bothered Markell actually, it wasn't anything that annoyed him. He actually just went along with it and played that "girly" role. Though what happened to him had caused him trauma. He prefers never to think much of that part of his childhood because he's sure it was because of his appearance that caused what happened to him to happen as he doesn't really know of any other reason it could have occurred in the first place. Bernard still finds it funny that once Matthias was corrected that Markell was a boy, he immediately claimed him as his brother.

— He has a scar on his cheek and a few on his arms. They've long since healed, but they're still very noticeable.

— His voice is deep, but calm, and also a much more relaxed version of his brother's voice. A bit on the low side, very monotone. His voice can get slightly husky whenever he's tired. He doesn't really talk much as he only seems to form short sentences, but his voice is definitely a pleasure to hear when he does speak, even if for a short time. Pale skin. He doesn't really get out much and prefers to stay inside, explaining his very light-toned complexion. He's not really an outdoor person, but he will spend time outside if it's necessary. Taking his dogs out or hanging with friends / his lover would be an exception. His hair is often seen slicked to the side or just slightly spiked up, it really depends on his mood. He very rarely ever has it down, but whenever it is down, it just barely passes his temples. He doesn't really let his hair down as he feels like a girl again half the time when it is. The only time he'll ever allow it down is when he's going to bed.

— He's usually serious and mature. He is often very calm and reasonable, as well. He tends to be quiet and doesn't often speak or in short sentences. He is in many ways, very similar to Sweden, but he also tends to be very down and is hard to make happy though it's also rather hard to make him mad. Can also be called both quiet and a bit of a douche because of his honest behavior. Sometimes he's seen teasing his friends about things that are pretty obvious to him or about things that he knows about them that could be considered embarrassing. He doesn't talk much about himself and seems more keen on listening than anything else. He's very considerate towards others but sometimes tends to be too honest about things that it comes off as rude or him being inconsiderate of the situation. Markell has a very "more concerned about my friends more than myself" attitude as he refuses to care for himself as he does with his family and friends.

— He enjoys reading and is often seen with a book in his hands. If he's not reading, then he's usually hanging around his family and friends. He also enjoys skateboarding and is sometimes skateboarding with his brother as it's a hobby they tend to do together. Markell can also play the guitar and sing, though he doesn't really sing much as he much prefers just playing an instrument. Though he doesn't really consider it a hobby, he loves cooking. He also exercises quite often with his brother, sometimes even with his lover.

— Markell is a very patient person, which helps as it makes him more tolerable to short-tempered people. He is very loyal to his friends and family, helping them in any way that he can even if it means putting his own self at risks. He's very loyal and is someone you can go to if you need to talk to someone as he takes the things spoken to him very seriously. He's good when it comes to reading the atmosphere and seems to understand when things are tense and should be left alone. He's very much a peacemaker and prefers not to get involved in fights or arguments. | Markell isn't good when it comes to violence. Even though he's strong, he's not the fighting type either. Despite how he was in the past, violence nowadays gives him anxiety, and he can't seem to handle it very well. This always goes along with his fear of blood as he can't stand the sight of it. Even though he's a great listener, he's not the best talker. Sometimes it's like he expects you to understand him without him really speaking, or that you can read his mind. He's also very oblivious despite understanding other people's feelings about other people, he can't seem to understand people's feelings about him, and it becomes awkward very quickly. He's blunt, which makes what he says come off as harsh or rude without meaning to.
