    Pantherstar

Heat. That was all the she-cat could feel pressing heavily against her thick black-and-white pelt; the leader's eyes slowly opened as she gazed blankly at the wall of the leader's den. Pantherstar truly didn't feel like moving; if anything she wished to remain in her nest and sleep the day away if she had the option. Anything but to face yet another day of hard decisions and expectant expressions, not to mention feeling the cold ire from her brother. However, Pantherstar had to get up and so she did although her limbs were heavy with each movement, making her way out of the den and stepping into the blazing heat. Her head tilted skyward as her eyes narrowed against the harsh glare. Of course, this was to be expected. Greenleaf always brought the unbearable heat with it, hopefully the lake that they relied on wouldn't dry. The last thing they needed was a drought.

    Willowfang

The white cat's form lay primarily unmoving within her nest, only the twitch of a whisker or the flick of her tail signified that the older cat was trapped within dreams. Her dreams of late were consistently plagued with whispers of StarClan in her ears, seeing their faded pelts always on the side of her vision, their voices now quieter than what she was used to. It aggravated her to say the least, being plagued with such nonsense day in and day out; there was not a single moment that went by that the old medicine cat despised the fact she could see their warrior ancestors so clearly as if they were walking freely amongst the living. Normalcy however was something that Willowfang was not allowed to have, ever. StarClan had made that clear enough.

Slowly opening her eyes, Willowfang could spot the leader, her granddaughter rising from her den. She was well aware of how exhausted Pantherstar was making herself as of late, although Willowfang certainly wasn't gentle with her nagging whatsoever to force her to sleep, it seemed like Pantherstar seemed more lost with each passing day, it was clear at least to her eyes. Nonetheless, Willowfang had decided to let it slide for now. Pantherstar would act tough as usual and proceed to annoy Willowfang with her false bravado; she had no time to deal with such foolishness. For now, her attention would settle upon making sure the herb storage was full; that would be easy on her aging bones. Rising from her nest, the medicine cat's eyes settled upon Gorsepaw's form within the den, though the sight of her apprentice made her click her tongue in irritation. Gorsepaw certainly was too much for her to bear sometimes, and he never ceased to get under her pelt. Regardless, she had to put up with the little furball until he fully settled into his role, then perhaps Willowfang could finally give up such an unwanted position. Hah, that won't happen anytime soon. I'm not that lucky.

    Barleytail

Early to rise to every bright morning, Barleytail was currently humming a rather cheeful tune, muffled only by the plump thrush he had clamped tightly in his jaws. The cream tom often enjoyed running about in the territory, feeling the wind against his pelt and the grass beneath his paws. It made him more appreciative of the fact that he had made the impulsive choice of following his father many moons ago to join ScarletClan; the life of a kittypet would never soothe the itch for adventure that rested within his soul. It wasn't to say that Barleytail didn't think about his mother or littermates; oftentimes he did ponder what they were doing or if they were even still alive somewhere, however he would not allow himself to seek them out. That was an old life he had long abandoned, it was here that he felt more at home despite all the troubles he had to deal with.

Padding in within the camp, Barleytail had trotted over to the freshkill pile, dropping his catch upon the top although his gaze shifted upward as he spotted Pantherstar. The senior warrior offered a respectful smile to the younger she-cat, however his blue gaze shifted over towards an all too familiar gray shape coming out of the warrior's den, a sigh leaving his muzzle before he could hold it back. Oh StarClan, here we go.

    Cedarwish

Every morning like clockwork, Cedarwish would awaken around the same time, take the same path outside of the warrior's den, and like each morning that Barleytail came back from a far too early solo hunting patrol, Cedarwish would show her displeasure in Barleytail's carefree nature, "I see you've gone out again. Isn't it inefficient to go out alone hunting? More cats yield better results," Her gaze turned to scrutinze the thrush the senior warrior had dropped upon the freshkill pile, "Clearly, like I assumed you have only came back with one. Surely, one would want to bring back more prey would they not? Your inefficient way of hunting-" Before she could finish her sentence, Barleytail had interjected, an annoyed expression temporarily crossing the cream warrior's face, "Yes, yes. I get it Cedarwish, calm down. I need to get my morning run in anyways, hunting while I do it is just something extra I do."

Cedarwish tilted her head, "Something... extra? A morning run just seems... wasteful. You could spend that time patrolling, or waiting for your clanmates to wake. Russetthorn normally does send us out on patrol, as such it limits possibility of injury or death with the more- ah." Barleytail had started walking away from Cedarwish, thd senior warrior's tail lashing in annoyance, thus halting the gray warrior from saying anything more. Did I say something wrong..?

    Tinywing

The pretty tortoiseshell's eyes peered in bewilderment outside of the nursery; however she spotted the little interaction between Cedarwish and Barleytail which prompted a sympathetic sigh to leave her muzzle. The two never seemed to interact too well, although no one really seemed to interact well with Cedarwish. The confusion in the gray warrior's eyes had caused the tortoiseshell to shake her head in dismay, "Oh dear.." She felt a bit bad for Cedarwish, however she couldn't bring herself to approach the gray she-cat. It would only result in a rather uncomfortable stiff lecture of some sort from the warrior.

Regardless, Tinywing's blue gaze shifted back into the nursery, the tortoiseshell queen settling back within her nest. For the brief moments she could have mostly to herself, her grief would flow through, loneliness being like a cold vise upon her heart. She could still remember quite vivdly her past two previous romances, her heart clenching tightly with her pain. It was truly hard now that she was mostly left on her own, sure she had the companionship of her clanmates, her friends, and her two kits that she felt proud of. But, past failed relationships and having lost her first litter completely had left permanent scars upon her soul.

Yet, it wasn't so bad. The nursery did have its more vibrant days to keep Tinywing's attention. Looking after Beastkit, Swiftkit, and Pinekit made her quite happy; however she was well aware they too would leave the nursery to become warriors themselves. Just one moon left before the nursery would be empty yet again. The thought made the void within her feel deeper, making her close her eyes tightly as to not allow any tears to escape. She would enjoy it while she still could. That was all she could do.

    Hollypaw

Sleeping in the apprentice's den was becoming such an annoyance to the black tom as his brother insisted upon sticking to his side like a massive tick, the golden tabby's snores echoing loudly in the black cat's ears, his amber eyes opening in a clear sign of aggravation as Shrewpaw had settled closer to him, the weight of his bulkier brother fully landing upon his back and shoulders causing the black cat to squirm pitifully underneath Shrewpaw's heavy form. Compared to his brother, Hollypaw was noticeably shorter and certainly not as muscular at all, and it was irritating him how much Shrewpaw seemed to cling to him whenever the golden apprentice fell sleep. I can't take this nonsense.

Unsheathing his claws, the black cat then swiped with all of his might at Shrewpaw's vulnerable ear, his claws meeting their mark which caused his brother to let out a surprised yowl of pain as Hollypaw managed to wiggle out from underneath him, his black fur fluffed out in his anger as the apprentice stormed out of the den, amber eyes exhausted and irritated. He didn't even catch one second of sleep during the night at all due to his idiot of a brother, in all honesty Hollypaw wished he would have given Shrewpaw more than a bloodied ear at this point, however for now the black tom had settled near the outside of the apprentice den, sitting down and beginning to groom his smooth fur, hoping at least that would be a distraction from the anger seething underneath his pelt. He certainly was not looking forward to training with Russetthorn today with how tired he was.

    Shrewpaw

The golden-brown tom's dreams consisted as usual with him running freely through the forest, rushing through the trees and chasing after prey. However, he was a restless sleeper, something that all of the apprentices who were unfortunate enough to be near him would be subjected to, the primary one being Hollypaw. And like always, Hollypaw would smack him awake... But this time it certainly wasn't a simple smack. Pain flared through Shrewpaw's senses as a surprised yowl left his maw, the tom flailing about in surprise as he spluttered, pieces of bedding being shed in his wake, the pain causing him only a few seconds to realize that his ear was bleeding due to the warmth he felt. Getting to his paws, he followed after Hollypaw although nearly stumbling over his own paws as he protested in a mixture of confusion and anger, "What was that for Hollypaw?!" However, upon getting to the black cat's side, his littermate only glanced over toward him with blank amber eyes before saying simply, "Go to Willowfang. You're bleeding everywhere."

With that being said, Hollypaw had stood up and promptly moved himself further from Shrewpaw prompting the golden-brown tabby to protest, "Hollypaw, that isn't what I asked! Hollypaw!" This was a normal morning for the two brothers apparently.

  • RUSSETTHORN // Interacts with: Cedarwish NEBBY. Barleytail NEBBY.

The large ginger she-cat woke when the sun filtered into the warrior's den, causing her fur to glow in the light. Russetthorn's face twisted into one of displeasure, the heat was one of the things that was not enjoyable about greenleaf. Sure, the prey was running, and herbs were plentiful, but for thick-furred cats, it wasn't the greatest. She stretched, extending her claws, then sheathing them again as she stood. Russetthorn gave a few quick licks to her chest fur, smoothing down the things that had been ruffled from sleep, then padded out into the center area of the dens. The deputy glanced around, mentally making tallies of what warriors were awake. Her eye was caught by Cedarwish, who seemed to be a bit upset. Russetthorn padded over to the other she-cat, "Cedarwish, good morning." She dipped her head in greeting to her friend, "Once we have more warriors awake, I'd like you to take a hunting patrol out. Take.." Russetthorn thought for a moment, "Two warriors and Graypaw, once she's awake." She flicked her tail across Cedarwish's shoulders, attempting to give her friend comfort, before walking away. Russetthorn called out to Barleytail, "Barlytail!" She padded quickly over to the tom. "Good morning," She dipped her head. "I'd like you to take out a border patrol once we have more cats awake."

FOXCRY // Interacts with: Tinywing NEBBY.

The tom was sitting quietly outside the warrior's den, watching the clan wake. He was basking in the sunlight that filtered through the trees and onto the camp, soaking up the warmth as he watched. Foxcry's ears twitched as he watched Barleytail and Cedarwish argue by the fresh-kill pile, almost standing to intervene, but the senior warrior walked away before he could stand. He let out a puff of air, figuring he should probably start moving, so Foxcry stood and padded over to the nursery to see if Tinywing and the kits were awake. He poked his head into the den, being careful not to disturb them if they were still sleeping.

BEETLEPAW // Interacts with: Barleytail NEBBY.

Beetlepaw woke as soon as the first sun rays broke into the apprentice's den. The small tom blinked his eyes open, moving out of the den hurriedly. He stopped briefly outside of the den, smoothing down his fur and looking around for his mentor. Beetlepaw spotted Barleytail talking to Russetthorn and padded over to the two. "Morning!" He mewed, his tail waving side to side. "Border patrol? Can I Go?" He turned to his mentor, eager to go do something.

TAWNYSKY // Interacts with: Shrewpaw NEBBY.

Tawnysky woke before the sun rose, and they spent their time hunting in the territory near the camp. They returned to camp after several cats had awoken, carrying a dove and a rabbit to the fresh-kill pile. Tawnysky glanced around, and, not seeing Shrewpaw, padded to the apprentices' den to find the young tom. Poking their head in, they noticed the golden tabby immediately. "Shrewpaw," Tawnysky frowned, "what happened to your ear?"

  • Pantherstar

Upon settling outside of the leader's den, it was now that the she-cat fully allowed herself to take in the chatter of her clanmates. To be fair, she felt completely bewildered on how she managed to do well enough to keep the clan together so far. Perhaps it was residual respect for her predecessor; Pinestar. Now Pinestar was a true leader, one that was well deserving of his role. Who was she to take up the mantle of leader? She had no desire to take it up previously, and she honestly had no clue what she was doing. Doubt settled within her yet again, however she brushed it aside. Instead, Pantherstar's attention had shifted over toward the clan's deputy, relief settling upon her pelt.

Russetthorn she was grateful to have, considering the ginger she-cat always was one to settle the patrols necessary, she was far more capable than Pantherstar when she was her age. Pantherstar could even say she was more capable now than she would ever be. Why would the clan need a leader that could hardly settle out anything? A frown had worked its way upon her muzzle as she watched on in silence, not bothering to interact just yet. Her thoughts were already proving to become clouded.

    Willowfang

    Barleytail

The senior warrior paused in his steps, looking over a slender shoulder toward Russetthorn, the annoyance that had taken place upon his features had eased away and gentled into his usual calm self, "Oh, good morning Russetthorn," He fully turned toward the ginger deputy, his ears perked up at the request as he smiled, "Yes, of course I can do that." The warrior paused as he saw the familiar form of Beetlepaw as his apprentice had walked over, causing the cream tom to nod his head, approving of his apprentice's enthusiasm, "Of course you can, however for now," His gaze shifted over toward the freshkill pile, "Go ahead and get something to eat while we wait for more of our clanmates to wake up, okay?"

    Cedarwish

Cedarwish truthfully was quite bewildered, not knowing what she had said to cause such a reaction from Barleytail. Perhaps she had been far too aggressive? Was that what had set him off? It troubled her greatly, however her attention had immediately snapped to Russetthorn as soon as she heard her friend's voice, dipping her head in response to the ginger warrior, "Good morning." At Russetthorn's following words, giving an order for organizing a hunting patrol, Cedarwish as usual responded in her simple blank tone, "Understood." However, the gray she-cat had appreciated the little bit of comfort her friend had given her, albeit did little to fully ease her from agonizing over her rather awkward interaction with Barleytail, at the very least it got her mind off of it and onto a task to do. The gray she-cat then proceeded to make her way over to the apprentice den, hoping to gather Graypaw and prepare her to leave, although she paused and came to a halt upon seeing Tawnysky and their apprentice, Shrewpaw. However, seeing as Hollypaw was walking away, it was only a logical conclusion that a negative interaction had happened here.

    Tinywing

The tortoiseshell's eyes snapped open as soon as she had heard pawsteps approaching the nursery in which the queen had hastily hid her prior expression that had shown clearly upon her face, her blue eyes turning over to look at whoever was standing at the entrance, a smile had settled upon her face upon seeing the familiar ginger pelt of Foxcry, "Good morning, Foxcry. How are you today? Slept well?" As usual, the queen would shift her position to fully face whomever she was talking to, giving her full attention to them. After all, not many would visit the nursery, Tinywing oftentimes would be on her own majority of the time with the exception of the three brothers she had taken upon herself to care for. The queen did occasionally leave the nursery if she were absolutely starved of conversation, however most of the time, Tinywing preferred to be on her own, allowing her grief to not be restrained as she normally would.

    Hollypaw

    Shrewpaw

Taking in a breath, the golden brown apprentice was about to shout out indignantly after his brother, however he was halted by the sight of Tawnysky. His amber gaze shifted over toward his mentor, looking up at them as his ears perked, although considering the rather nasty mark to his currently bleeding ear, it certainly looked quite odd with how suddenly cheerful he was now being, "Good morning Tawnysky!" However, the tabby paused as Tawnysky inquired about his ear, looking away from the warrior as he said in a halfhearted laugh, "Heh, just Hollypaw being Hollypaw I guess. It's no big deal, I'm fine!" He grimaced slightly, though padding completely out of the way of the apprentice's den as to not block the entrance, "It doesn't even hurt that much, honest! So, what are we gonna do today?" Diverting the conversation away from his irritable brother seemed to be best in Shrewpaw's mind, Hollypaw simply was just being the usual unfriendly cat he was. Shrewpaw was used to it by now, he certainly didn't seem to allow his spirits to dampen at all because of his brother's irritable nature.

  • Beastkit-
Beastkit sat quietly, and vigilantly, outside the nursery. Soon he, and his brothers, would be apprentices. He couldn't wait. Of course, having lead and cared for his litter-mates for close to 2 moons before being found by Scarletclan, he was already familiar with just about anything this clan could teach him. He still really missed Stone. The old cat had taught him everything he already knew. Beastkit looked at his paws, fully aware that he had more on his plate than any kit should, more than most warriors should really. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts.

    Swiftkit-

Swiftkit rested soundly in the nursery. He dreamed of being a warrior, many many moons from now. His dream was so vivid that he could taste forest all around him. He started running, jumping over fallen branched, around bushes and through exposed roots. He must have been dreaming too intensely, because he stirred in his sleep.

    Pinekit-

Pinekit looked, curiously, at Tinywing. Admittedly, he had grown close to his adoptive mother. He still didn't know much about her, though. He looked over to Swiftkit while he stirred in his sleep. Pinekit never really remembered his dreams, only small details like names and smells. His most vivid dream was him talking to Stone. Pinekit assumed it was a dream, and not a memory because he didn't remember ever having that conversation with his grandfather. "Tinywing," He mewed. "Ca-can I ask you something?"

  • RUSSETTHORN // Interacts with: Hollypaw

Russetthorn dipped her head, "Thanks, Barleytail." The she-cat padded away, hesitating for a moment before noticing her apprentice, Hollypaw, sitting outside of the apprentice's den. She moved purposefully, crossing the camp quickly and stopping in front of the young tomcat. "Hollypaw, I hope you slept well." She mewed, settling down beside him. Russetthorn noticed how exhausted Hollypaw seemed. "I was thinking we would work on hunting forms today, but I'm afraid you'd fall asleep waiting for prey to show up." She purred, looking down at the black-furred cat.

FOXCRY // Interacts with: Tinywing, Pinekit

"Ah, good morning, Tinywing." Foxcry mewed, stepping a little ways into the nursery. "I'm well, and yes, how about you? Are the kits keeping you up at all?" He asked, looking down at the three tomkits that seemed to be waking up. He knew Tinywing was still grieving, and thought she wanted to be along much of the time, Foxcry still wanted to talk to his friend. He glanced down at Pinekit, who had piped up after he spoke.

    BEETLEPAW // Interacts with: Barleytail

Beeltepaw's tail thrashed in excitement, "Thanks, Barleytail!" The small tom nodded enthusiastically at his mentor's next words, "Alright!" He mewed, padding to the fresh-kill pile and grabbing a vole. He settled down to eat it a little ways away, closer to the apprentices' den. As he ate it, he watched Hollypaw, talking to Russetthorn, and it looked like Tawnysky had come to fetch Shrewpaw from the den.

    TAWNYSKY // Interacts with: Shrewpaw

Ah, yes, Hollypaw. Tawnysky knew that the two brothers had a bit of a strained relationship, and Shrewpaw would often end up with little nicks here and there from the other tomcat. Tawnysky purred at their apprentice's cheerful demeanor, glad he didn't let the other get him down. "Well, first, we're going to get you to the medicine den and get you something for that ear." They looked pointedly at the apprentice, "But after that, I though we could practice battle forms." They moved closer to the young cat as they spoke, flicking his good ear with their tail.

  • Doeskip cracked open one pale green eye as cats started to wake up and filter out of the warriors’ den. After blinking a few times over, the heat became recognisable to her. Doeskip groaned loudly. It was true the dilute calico wasn’t a long-furred as other cats in the clan, but the heat was affecting her either way. Doeskip gently lifted her head just as Russetthorn left the den to scan who was left. She easily spotted her brother, Lionleap, asleep on the opposite side of the den. Doeskip smiled affectionately, sitting up in her nest and grooming herself hastily before exiting. It took a few seconds for her eyes to adjust, but once they did Doeskip immediately headed for the fresh-kill pile. She nodded to Russetthorn and Cedarwish as she passed, lifting up a mouse and a vole and then spinning on her heel, heading for the nursery. Doeskip poked her head in - the kits were already awake, and Tinywing’s day was clearly already started. With an affectionate grin, dropping the prey just inside of the den. ”I brought breakfast for you guys. You might have to share, but if you want one yourself let me know.” After nodding her hello to Foxcry, she then turned to Tinywing. ”You doing okay? // NEBBY.

Gorsepaw very much wished he didn’t have to get out of his nest. But hearing Willowfang get up was Gorsepaw’s cue. Yawning, the light brown tabby stood up, arching his back in a stretch. After a minute or two of figuring out where his grumpy mentor stood, Gorsepaw strode confidently forward, deliberately bumping right into Willowfang’s side. ”Oops,” Gorsepaw said, a grin crossing his maw. Today’s goal was to just be as plain annoying as possible, even if in a childish way. // NEBBY.

Silverthorn was sunbathing just outside the warriors’ den before everyone began waking up. Yawning, Silverthorn shook out her pale pelt and stood up to approach Barleytail. ”I’ll come on the border patrol, if you want,” she offered with a friendly smile. Silverthorn wasn’t a big talker, but either way, she’d wanted to go on a patrol this morning. // NEBBY.

Stormrunner left the warriors’ den a bit earlier than usual. His yellow eyes scanned the camp, not stopping until he saw Russetthorn suggest Cedarwish take a couple of warriors and her apprentice on a hunting patrol. Pushing himself up, the long-furred tom padded right over. He’d deliberately not lingered when his gaze swept over Pantherstar earlier - no need to start a fight. Unless she came up to him, of course. He’d be less than unfriendly then. Clearing his throat as he reached Cedarwish, Stormrunner spoke. ”Hey, mind if I come on the hunting patrol? Haven’t been on one in a couple of days.” // NEBBY.

  • Beastkit-

Beastkit padded back into the nursery. He could almost immediately feel his adoptive mothers sadness. He walked over to Tinywing, sat down next to her and nuzzled her in attempt to make her feel better. He missed his birth parents more than anybody would ever know, but he was grateful for Tinywing taking care of him as his brothers since they arrived in the clan.

Swiftkit was still fast asleep, still squirming as he ran in his dreams.

  • Pantherstar

Just as the leader was sinking deeper into her thoughts, the she-cat's gaze had suddenly shifted over to the familiar shape of her brother, Stormrunner. However, seeing as his gaze had completely swept over her, ignoring her entirely it did cause a faint stab of pain to settle within her. However, she couldn't say that she expected anything different now. Despite him being her littermate, he was nothing more than just a stranger to her now. Holding onto the past when their relationship had been close prior to them being apprentices was futile, she knew that well. She didn't expect forgiveness from him, she fully felt as if it were her fault anyways due to Tallmoon's death. So, she too had placed space between them as needed; shutting off her connection to the extended family that Stormrunner now had. Now, her gaze had turned away as well, promptly ignoring the sight of her brother and retreating back into the leader's den. She didn't feel like dealing with the bitter temperment that Stormrunner would give her if she even decided to step in his direction; due to her own intimidating façade that she kept herself to, she wouldn't tolerate the aggression she would face from him and StarClan only knows that would make their relationship even worse than ever. It would resort in another fight that she didn't want nor had the energy to deal with right now. All she wanted was to sleep.

It was a rare weak moment for her of course, however the black-and-white cat now settled within her nest once more, ignoring the heat still wafting within the den and had closed her eyes. She simply needed some time to distance herself from everything.

    Willowfang

Nosing her way through the herbs was a rather boring, dull task. It made the white she-cat once again feel a tinge of bitterness that ran through her. Oh, the things she would do to be a warrior again... If only she could. Her ears twitched backward as she heard the rustling of Gorsepaw getting up from his nest, initially ignoring the young tom until it seemed like today was yet another day that Gorsepaw would be set to annoy the old cat. Willowfang's fur bristled as the medicine cat apprentice had bumped into her, an ever familiar feeling of irritation bubbling up within her as she took in a sharp breath to keep herself from yelling at him. There was no need to completely lose it already so early in the day, but she certainly wouldn't tolerate it if the little mousebrain decided to keep it up.

Regardless, Willowfang had retaliated with a sharp cuff to the back of Gorsepaw's head, although she didn't hit him too hard and certainly wouldn't want to hurt him. As annoying as she found him to be, he still was her responsibility despite her certainly not wanting it. "It's about time you woke, don't stand around and help me keep record of these herbs." She was clearly restraining herself today, normally she would be giving Gorsepaw quite the earful of a lecture before making making him do some dull task of some sort, granted never without her nearby. Willowfang was aware of his disability, and as much as she didn't show it, she did feel too worried to leave him by his own. Besides, he was a troublemaker too, she couldn't just let him be by himself for too long.

    Barleytail

With a smile still settled upon the cream warrior's face, he had nodded in response to both Russetthorn and Beetlepaw, though seeing now as more warriors seemed to be awake, organizing a border patrol would certainly be a lot more manageable. His attention however was quickly caught by Silverthorn as she approached, the warrior nodding his head in response to her, "Of course, I would appreciate that," He added with a chuckle, "It saves me the effort of trying to wake everyone else up."

    Cedarwish

Ears perking, Cedarwish's attention had shifted over to Stormrunner as the older warrior approached, respectfully dipping her head to him as she had turned to face him fully, "That would be most helpful. Thank you." Formal and stiff, Cedarwish always reacted in such a manner everytime toward anyone, more so the older cats within the clan though. Looking over her shoulder, her gaze had turned past Tawnysky and Shrewpaw, hoping to see any sign of Graypaw waking up. The gray warrior had hesitated, a tinge of nervousness settling upon her as discomfort nearly showed within her eyes, "I'm merely waiting on Graypaw for now." She had added those words hesitantly to the older warrior, hoping that such a delay wouldn't upset him.

    Tinywing

The queen smiled in response to Foxcry, "I see, that's good," However a bit of laughter had left her muzzle as she added, "Well, they certainly are. But, I quite like the fact that it keeps me busy... for another moon that is." There was a faint dimness to her eyes as she said those words, a tinge of emptiness settling within the depths, though her attention shifted to Pinekit as he had spoken up, "Yes, what is it-" Before she could finish her question, the familiar sight of her daughter had caused the tortoiseshell to turn her head to face her, though laughter now had settled upon the queen, "My, my... I certainly feel popular today." The queen nodded her head, smile remaining upon her features, "Yes, I'm quite alright Doeskip. You don't need to worry about me you know? Go ahead and focus on your duties, alright dear?"

However, she certainly had lied. Tinywing simply didn't desire for anyone to worry over her, although she certainly held her sorrows within her heart, it didn't necessarily mean that the tortoiseshell couldn't settle out these issues on her own. Her gaze had gentled at Beastkit coming to her side, a gentle purr leaving her as she had nuzzled the kit's head in silent appreciation. She really would miss the three brothers being near her in the nursery, but for now she would enjoy it while it last. Besides, she certainly had to look forward to when they eventually become apprentices, that would give her as much joy as when Doeskip, and Lionleap had first become apprentices as well.

Settling in a more comfortable position, Tinywing's tail had gently wrapped around the brothers, protectively drawing them to her side although holding back laughter at the sleeping Swiftkit, the queen's gaze settling more upon Doeskip and Foxcry, "I'll be fine in here you two, don't worry." She already was keeping in mind to allow Pinekit to speak, pondering what it is that he wanted to say.

    Hollypaw

The black cat's amber gaze had turned upward toward Russetthorn, an unamused expression crossing the apprentice's face. This was merely the usual attitude he would give anyone, as a tiny bit of annoyance had settled within the black tom, giving his chest fur a few swift licks before he stood up and said simply, "Not tired. Let's go." It was the simplified speech that he often used, Hollypaw wouldn't allow himself to slack off regardless. If Russetthorn wanted to practice hunting forms with him, then so be it. Besides, there was three moons left of his training, he needed to push himself further if he wanted to become an excellent warrior.

However, Hollypaw's amber gaze had temporarily shifted to Beetlepaw upon standing. Beetlepaw was an apprentice he acknowledged his presence on occasion and certainly didn't outright ignore immediately. Yet, that was as far as Hollypaw acknowledged Beetlepaw, although he often would be around the apprentice, he never really spoke to him much aside from when he had to. His gaze didn't linger upon him long though, his attention turning to look up at Russetthorn expectantly, although the sleepiness to Hollypaw's gaze was still undeniable.

    Shrewpaw

The golden apprentice's bright attitude had slightly halted upon Tawnysky saying that he needed to get his ear checked out, wrinkling his nose at the thought of dealing with Willowfang. The grumpy medicine cat wasn't someone that he liked too much, mostly because she seemed to snap at everyone and everything, and he always got lectures from the white cat everytime Hollypaw just so happened to cause him a tiny new injury, but at the very least she was very gentle when dealing with his injuries. At least Gorsepaw was a lot more tolerable to be around than Willowfang though, so Shrewpaw had huffed, a bit of annoyance managing to color his amber gaze, "Okay, okay... But I'm really fine, honestly Tawnysky!" A smile had crossed his face as he felt Tawnysky's tail flicking against his good ear, though it seemed like the mention of practicing battle forms caused Shrewpaw to become a bit more enthusiastic, the tabby did love battle practice more than hunting. That was where he excelled, being far more bulkier than Hollypaw was, hunting was not Shrewpaw's strong suit. Oftentimes he would be too clumsy to catch anything or cause too much noise.

  • Pinekit-

Pinekit looked at Tinywing. "You'll always be like a mother to us," He mewed. "You know that, right?"

    Beastkit-

The young black tom nodded in agreement, looking up at Tinywing.

    Swiftkit-

Swiftkit slowly woke up from his dream. "Yeah," He said groggily. "We love you, Tinywing."

  • RUSSETTHORN // Interacts with: Hollypaw

Russetthorn nodded, standing up and gesturing with her tail. "Alright then, let's go." The she-cat padded toward the entrance to camp, looking back to make sure Hollypaw was following her. Once she had confirmed he was, she proceeded deeper into their territory. Russet thorn stopped, scenting the air. There was a squirrel not too far away, and a thrush only a few tail lengths further. "What can you smell?" She mewed softly to her apprentice, turning to face the young tom as she did so.

FOXCRY // Interacts with: Tinywing, Doeskip, Cedarwish, Stormrunner

Foxcry dipped his head to Tinywing, "I'll leave you alone then," Foxcry mewed, "Goodbye, Tinywing. Beastkit, Pinekit." He gave each cat a nod, and gave Doeskip a nod as well before exiting the nursery. The ginger tom padded out into the main camp, glancing around at the cats gathering in the clearing. He padded over to Cedarwish and Stromrunner, "I can also come, if that's all right."

TAWNYSKY // Interacting with: Shrewpaw, Willowfang

Tawnysky purred, "Yes, I know, but even the strongest cats can get an infection." They walked out of the den, calling to their apprentice as they went, "Let's go Shrewpaw!" They padded towards the medicine den, poking their head in to find Willowfang. "Willowfang? Shrewpaw needs some treatment for his ear." The tawny cat mewed, stepping further into the den once they confirmed the she-cat was indeed in the den.

  • Doeskip sighed, pawing the ground. Tinywing was right - technically, the young warrior should go and see if there's anything she can do. "But they're not taking out large patrols. I can be spared - I don't have an apprentice or anything. Maybe I can help with the kits," she offered, green eyes lighting up a little. The dilute calico she loved kits - it was no secret. Especially these three toms - Tinywing took care of them, and they were always there whenever Doeskip visited. They were such sweet kits, they got Doeskip dreaming of her own one day. As Foxcry left, she swept her tail over his back in a goodbye, before moving to seat herself beside her mother. // NEBBY.

Gorsepaw's grin immediately vanished, turning into a look of boredom. He sighed and turned to the herb storage, mostly sniffing to make his way through this task. 'Distinguishing colours' didn't really work since some herbs were similar colours, so he went by smell. Thankfully, the worse his sight got, the better his nose got. Gorsepaw was surprised he couldn't smell the stench of his mentor from a mile away. The thought made the young tom snicker a bit, but he didn't say anything. He had already moved on to plotting how to annoy Willowfang next. Crush some herbs, maybe? No, she might drag him out to collect more. Instead, Gorsepaw began to roll juniper berries into cracks in the ground and push dock leaves into nearby shrubs, just to mess up Willowfang's 'records'. Then Shrewpaw and Tawnysky entered, and Gorsepaw's excitement at pulling another trick heightened. Quickly, he pushed any infection-helping herbs he could reach without his mentor noticing to the side, then padded around her and sat, just a bit away from the injured apprentice and his mentor, not saying a word. // NEBBY.   Adrian Park

Silverthorn nodded, glancing over at Beetlepaw. "So, is it just us three or are we bringing someone else?" Silverthorn's green eyes scanned camp for someone else to take, though it seemed as if most warriors were busy with their apprentices, family or patrols. Jeez, it'd barely been twenty minutes and already everyone was getting their day started. The semi-fluffy she-cat continued to look before shrugging, turning back to Barleytail and Beetlepaw. // NEBBY.   Adrian Park

At the mention of his daughter's name, Stormrunner flicked an ear in amusement. She reminds me a lot of her mother. Whisperfall had yet to wake up, so it hardly surprised him that Graypaw wasn't awake either. He glanced over as Foxcry approached, and with a welcoming expression nodded his head. "Sure, sounds like a plan. Shall I go wake Graypaw up?" he offered, turning to Cedarwish. He was the apprentice's father, but if her mentor wanted to wait for her, then he wouldn't complain. Maybe he could tease her about being late, too. // NEBBY.   Adrian Park   Synonymous

    Willowfang & Shrewpaw

Satisfied as Gorsepaw had seemingly done what he had been told, the white cat had settled upon looking once more through the storage. Although, upon trying to once more begin looking through what herbs they currently had in stock, she had been once more halted as Tawnysky's voice rang out causing the white cat's jaw to clench as she took in a breath and sharply exhaled, turning to face the warrior although annoyance flared up in her expression at the mention of Shrewpaw, "Again?" The white cat's gaze turned to Shrewpaw as the golden apprentice hesitantly looked out from behind his mentor, although her eyes quickly focused upon his bloody ear, "How many times are you gonna come in here? You're going to waste all my herbs at this rate!" The old cat had growled, causing Shrewpaw to nervously chuckle as the apprentice had moved forward toward Willowfang, "Er, sorry Willowfang. You know.. just Hollypaw I guess?" Willowfang snorted at the mention of Shrewpaw's brother, another annoying troublemaker that she didn't want to deal with either.

Despite complaining, the white cat had turned away, grumbling under her breath as she her paws had moved to where normally the marigold would be... However it wasn't there. Huh, I could've sworn I- Willowfang's eyes narrowed as quick realization had dawned on her as she spoke through clenched teeth, "Gorsepaw, where did you put the marigold?" Of course she should have known not to turn her back on Gorsepaw. At this moment, the medicine cat had turned to face her apprentice, her expression already turning slowly into one of irritation... Not like that wasn't her expression constantly anyways.

    Barleytail

The cream warrior tilted his head, considering Silverthorn's words, "Hmm... Perhaps one more should do it." The senior warrior had added with a simple smile crossing his face, "Why don't you get something to eat as well while we wait Silverthorn? It'll pass the time, and I'm sure you don't want to be standing around." He was sure they wouldn't have to wait too long though, with the growing chatter and activity in the clan, sooner or later there would be more of their clanmates moving about.

    Cedarwish

The gray she-cat's attention shifted to Foxcry as the warrior had approached, inclining her head to him silently although with Stormrunner offering to wake Graypaw, the warrior had hesitated for a moment before hesitantly saying, "Yes, that would be most... helpful." She felt a bit awkward with responding to Stormrunner, although she certainly felt quite appreciative that he was here. Cedarwish was awkward enough as it was.

    Tinywing

Tinywing's blue eyes gentled as she seemed slightly exasperated by Doeskip, but she still felt appreciative that her daughter would like to stay with her, "Alright then, if you insist. Thank you." The queen had waved her tail briefly in goodbye to Foxcry as the warrior had left, though her attention of course was drawn back to the kits at her side. Their words had struck deep, making the she-cat's expression waver before a warm smile had crossed her face, holding back tears as she had gently nuzzled the three brothers, "Oh, you three... You're all too sweet." Those words did mean a lot to the queen, of course she didn't expect to replace their mother, but for them to consider her as such made her happy. Tinywing certainly was doting over the three as if they were her own kits, loving them just as much as she did for Doeskip and Lionleap.

    Hollypaw

Following after Russetthorn, the tom's ears perked as soon as they had begun to walk through the forest. It was certainly comfortable here, although drowsiness threatened to make the black cat's eyelids droop, he forced himself to keep up with his mentor, attention shifting upward to the ginger she-cat as she had prompted for him to smell if anything was nearby. Pausing, the black cat's nose had twitched, breathing in the smell of the surrounding forest. There were of course the usual smells... However, from what he could sense there was the smell of prey within the undergrowth. Turning his head toward Russetthorn, he responded with, "Squirrel," He paused then sniffed again, "...And a thrush a little bit further." He seemed pretty confident enough in his answers, peering up at his mentor as if awaiting for her to confirm his responses.

  • Beastkit, Swiftkit and Pinekit all nuzzled Tinywing back as hard as they could.

    Beastkit-

Beastkit sort of stared off into the distance, not truly focused on anything. Tinywing would always be like a mother to him. But not by blood, our real mother is dead. The kit thought, darkly. His eyes dimmed and his tail calmly fell to the ground. The trauma of seeing his family brutally killed by a hungry fox had forced the young tom to mature too quickly. Even now, as a kit, he was nearly as mature as a newly named warrior.

    Swiftkit-

Swiftkit slowly slipped back to sleep at Tinywing’s side. (Still trying to think of ways to go with this one....)

    Pinekit-

Pinekit purred at looked up to Tinywing. “We love you almost as much as Yarrowkit, Applekit and Shellkit!” He mewed, nonchalantly. Pinekit lay down to take a short nap. “They told me so last night in my dream.” He yawned.

  • RUSSETTHORN // Hollypaw

The large she-cat nodded, "Well done." She mewed, her voice still soft so as not to spook the creatures. Russetthorn looked down at her apprentice, whose eyes appeared to be drooping quite a bit. "Alight, do you think you can catch one?" She asked, crouching down close to the forest floor. Her ginger pelt stood out quite a bit in the undergrowth, but she was careful to stay still enough that the prey wouldn't think anything of her. Hollypaw had a bit of an advantage here, his black pelt and smaller form made it easy for him to stay hidden, both from prey, and any enemies they might have.

    TAWNYSKY // Shrewpaw, Willowfang, Gorsepaw

"Alright, Shrewpaw!" The warrior turned to Willowfang, dipping their head in thanks, "Thank you Willowfang, Gorsepaw." They padded back out of the medicine den, glancing back to make sure Shrewpaw was following them. "Let's head to the clearing a ways out, that way we can have space, and shouldn't disturb any hunting patrols." They mewed, their long tail waving as it was held high.

    warrior - molly - 29 moons — looks

everything was silent, nothing but a dark forest surrounding one lone feline. contrasting such darkness was a white calico, lime green eyes staring into the cold abyss. taking in a deep breath, the warrior walked deeper into the woods, flashing memories of every cat she knew laughing at her and snickering. 'what disappointment,' a voice would call. 'can you even call yourself a warrior?' another called out, 'looks more like a kitten.' as if it was on cue, pastelstorm transformed into a helpless kitten. loud cries for help echoed into the darkness, but one cat particular stood out. it was her mother, a cat that died many moons ago after birthing pastel and her kin. with that gentle smile from the queen, everything vanished and pastelstorm woke from her slumber.

the molly opened up her eyes, feeling the humid air beat against her like a drum. she felt sticky, and wanting to do nothing more but clean out her long pelt. times like these she regret having such long fur. the talking of cats drew her attention, not really caring on what much is going on. she carefully sat up in her nest, cleaning her pelt before exiting out of the den. little apprentices and kittens scurried around the area, and warriors were organizing patrols and doing so more clan daily chores. quietly she stalked over to the prey pile, wondering what to make for her breakfast. there were a few plump prey, which isn't hard to find now that is Greenleaf. nosing around the pile, she found a small vole that looked like its first few years in life. taking the lifeless body, she sat in a nice shaded area, enjoying her meal in peace.

  • Doeskip nodded, then sat and quietly listened to the conversation between her mother and the kits. At the mention of her elder half-siblings, Doeskip stiffened. She'd never met them, seeing as they died before they really had a chance to grow up, but she knew the subject would be sensitive for Tinywing. Hopefully, since the three toms were only kits, Tinywing wouldn't react too badly. Instead of saying anything else, Doeskip remained silent. Besides, how would Pinekit know? They were dead, and it's not like StarClan visited kits in their dreams all too often. // NEBBY.   Three Brothers Prophesy

Gorsepaw's tail started flicking from side to side behind him as his mischievous grin flickered across his face. "I've not touched the marigold, Willowfang. Maybe you misplaced it." He spoke with an innocent tone despite his obviously smug expression. To be honest, he couldn't remember where he'd put the marigold specifically. He'd hidden a few herbs in the time she'd been turned to face Shrewpaw. He'd have to sniff it out, and he could if he wanted to - but annoying Willowfang was so much more fun than letting her treat Shrewpaw. Besides, Gorsepaw silently applauded Hollypaw every time he sent his brother in here with an injury. Being a troublemaker himself, he loved seeing the sibling relationship between the two, even if it wasn't ideal like Doeskip's and Lionleap's. // NEBBY.

Silverthorn nodded lightly. "Alright, but make sure you eat too. If after we're all finished nobody shows up, we'll just all go." The long-furred silver tabby she-cat got up and padded over to the prey pile, picking up a squirrel. She looked around, scanning for anyone to eat with just while she waited for Barleytail to let her know it was time to go. Spotting Pastelstorm, Silverthorn carried her squirrel over and settled down beside the she-cat. "Morning, Pastelstorm. How are you?" the friendly she purred as she took the first bite of her meal. // CherryBerry

Stormrunner nodded, turning his head away as he spoke. "You're welcome. I should be back soon." The fluffy tom padded over to the apprentices' den, poking his head in. He was flooded with nostalgia from when he and Pantherstar were apprentices. He scowled at the thought - he shouldn't be remembering when they were apprentices. With those memories came the memories of when the two were close, and Stormrunner hated remembering those times, knowing that back then he had no idea Pantherstar would be responsible for the death of his father. Shaking the thought out, he called out. "I'm sorry, everyone. Graypaw, we're about to go on patrol with Cedarwish and Foxcry. Wake up." // Synonymous   NEBBY.   Adrian Park

  • Poolstorm lifted her head from her nest in the warriors den and looked around the den, she noticed that several of her fellow warriors had already gotten up and were moving around camp. She stood up and slowly stretched her legs before shaking the moss from her nest that clung to her fluffy gray pelt before padding out of the den. The gray she cat looked around camp to see which of her clan mates were already up, her gaze stopped on Pantherstar and she offered him a warm smile and a nod in greeting. Poolstorm padded over to the fresh kill pile and noticed that it seemed to be running low, she gave a small sigh and hoped that maybe she would be able to go on a hunting patrol later in the day. For now she just grabbed ahold of a plump mouse and a shrew to take to the medicine cat den for Gorsepaw and Willowfang, she trotted over to the den and set them down just barely inside of the den as she peaked her head in "Good morning you two, I brought you both something to eat. You cant focus on an empty stomach." she meowed with a smile.

the meat was nice and tender, something she adore with younger prey. before she knew it half of the vole was eaten, and the juices were all over her light colored pelt. taking a small break, she quickly cleaned herself so she doesn't stain her white pelt. a small motion caught her gaze as a she-cat made her way towards pastel. flicking her tail tip, she bowed her head before lowering it back into the meal she was having. there were very few cats she actually knew as she grew up here. this one here... silverthorn if she was right... was a fairly new feline. bowing her head lightly she excused herself from the meal. ``hello there. im doing very well this morning. how about you? ``

Sorry! Didn't know I was going to be sooo busy this weekend!

    GRAYPAW

    NEBBY.

A sudden yowl of pain awoke Graypaw, but she barely peered out from beneath her tail before shutting her eyes again and sinking deeper into the nest, "Boys..." she scoffed under her breath, sighing sleepily. She knew it was almost time to be up, but if she just waited a few more moments... she'd fallen gently back into her dreams, her whiskers twitching faintly as she imagined feeling a rush of wind from high up in a tree. Her father's voice finally broke her peace and she slowly got to her paws, stretching her front paws out in front of her and claws furrowing the soft soil between the nests within the den, "Jaypaw, Juniperpaw! Come on." she hissed to her siblings, "Coming! Sorry, I suppose I fell back to sleep." she explained around a yawn, padding outside to shake the last bits of sleep from her blue-gray fur. She stepped up beside Cedarwish, feeling somewhat sheepish, "I apologize for taking so long." she mewed soberly. She hated apologizing to anyone, but her parents usually, however she'd really begun to respect her mentor the past moon or so. It'd been rocky between them at first, but she was beginning to genuinely like the other she-cat, despite her crass demeanor.

    LIONLEAP

    NEBBY.

"Wait!" Lionleap mewed pathetically as he jumped to his paws, then froze, breathing shallowly. Slowly, he relaxed, his bristled fur lying flat once more. The warriors den was quiet, only a couple of still, sleeping bodies still in their nests, none of them his sister, "Just a dream..." he sighed shakily, taking a deep breath and making his way outside as to not further disturb those still resting. He felt better quickly, though a little embarrassed he'd slept in so late, he made his way to where the patrols for the day were gathering, "Has my name been called?" he asked hopefully, to no one in particular, and got no response. Usually he'd ask Shrewpaw or Doeskip, but he hadn't seen them yet, so he hesitantly approached Pantherstar, "Is there anything in particular you'd like me to help with today?" he offered, his tailtip flicking nervously,.
