GENUFLECTING IN A PENITENT WAY \ meeting (8/11)

Check out this announcement about new leadership limits in Agrelos
  • While for most leaders a quiet week was worrying, Julian found it in fact rather relaxing, considering it was a lovely contrast to the hectic happenings at the beginning of his leadership. He was beginning to settle, despite the Devil's constant unwanted advice and presence. And... even though he'd initially not wanted the Devil's help, now... it was beginning to become useful. He hated to admit it, but working with the goat was beginning to have its benefits. "Thunderlanders, gather for a meeting!" he called, a smile settled on his face. There was an artificial quality to this expression, a tiredness to the eyes, a sorrow in his demeanour after having recently come back from Kira's funeral, but... he tried to cover it. And he did, to some extent.

"Firstly, everyone give a big welcome to Cataclysm, Hebi, Freddy and Ruffian. I sincerely hope all four of you enjoy your stay in the Thunderlands; we are boundlessly happy to have you around," he hummed, seeking out the new faces in the crowd so he could wave at them.

"It's been a rather slow week in general, so there will be no demotions or warnings." he decided; it'd be a bit hypocritical of him to point out the inactivity of others seeing as he hadn't been around as much as he should have been this week. "Though, Avilius, I would like to see you around a little bit more." Not an official warning, not yet; maybe a little nudge would help.

"Though, there is one promotion and a couple of titles to give out!" Julian chimed, expression lighting up a bit from the previous announcements. "Firstly, the titles; the Spark title goes to Kosaku and Cataclysm; great job you two, you might be looking at a promotion next week," Jules grinned, hoping he'd spot the two in the crowd. "Now... Artemis. Your activity is wonderfully promising and you really proved yourself in the ally meeting with Hyperia. I'd like for you to step up to either Thunderguard or Squalltamer; please let me know which branch you choose," he chirped, smile growing even bigger. It was always a wonderful feeling, promoting others; he hoped that Artemis would be happy with such a promotion. "Shoutouts also go to Ellijah and Ladon. Thank you both."

What was next? Allies, hummed the Devil softly, and Julian nodded to himself in confirmation. "Not much news this week about allies, luckily. And this is perhaps the first time in weeks that I haven't had to report a new leader," he chuckled, feeling a little bitter about it. Why did the sting of Kira's demise have to linger? Couldn't he feel a new pain to weaken the first? "There will be a party happening soon to celebrate the beginning of an alliance with Shadow Veil. I'm also looking for someone to be the ambassador for them, so if you're interested, please let me know," Julian hummed, mismatched eyes hovering over the crowd for a few lingering moments before he began to finalise the meeting.

"Ladon is making gift baskets; I highly encourage you to give that a go, I'm sure our allies will appreciate it. Also, the Tribe of Unbounded Sky is holding a seminar about the Luxum religion, if anyone's interested." he said, happier to shoutout his boyfriend than anything else. Despite Ladon's trauma he was still getting up and doing things, which never failed to make his heart melt.

"Unless there is anything to add, meeting dismissed." he called, hesitating to leap off the rock for a few moments unless someone else wanted to say something.

  • Perhaps he wasn't the most active around the clan, for he had no idea who the new people were or who those with titles and promotions were. Strange of him to not know something, but he'd learn fairly quickly. It would mean socialising with those lower than the Prince, but he'd sacrifice his pride for the sake of getting to know people. It was the right thing to do, apparently, but whatever. When did he ever do the right thing? He'd ran off from his home at a young age only to join the circus. How had his mother felt, he wondered. Though he didn't care- he didn't even remember her name, or for that matter, any of his relatives names. What caught his attention was a new alliance with Shadow Veil, and then the open ambassador role. Being an ambassador sounded important, maybe he could do that? "I can be the Ambassador for Shadow Veil." he spoke up, voice relatively calm and quiet, though he was sat at the front, so no doubt Julian would hear him.

  • This would be the first time he attended one of Julian's meetings. He was always so busy -- it had never been a personal thing. However, he was acutely aware of a slump just as bad as the one under Nymeria and he wondered what sort of measures would be taken. The German shepherd carefully nursed his wounds from the Sanguine Ruins, thankful that nobody seemed to notice that he had been taken. There hadn't been much of a crime scene, and the torture was nothing when he had uncovered his captor's insecurity.

"I'm looking for a medical apprentice." Deutschland announced after Julian finished. It was long due time. "Bramblemask is no longer a Cloudwatcher." He wasn't sure if Julian had ever demoted her, but at least now it was official.

  • Another week, another meeting. It felt as if time was beginning to slip away, though tis the season, he supposed. The slowing pace of the clan was a bit worrisome for the canine, but he tried not to mention much about it. It was no one's fault, that he could attest to, but he was beginning to grow a bit lonely and bored as the days went by. Most of the individuals he had begun to grow close to had slipped away, and he no longer found himself looking for them in the crowds. At every meeting would he cast a glance around, hoping to Ithilwen or someone he could call a 'friend,' but found none to be there. Oh- It seemed he had missed the first portion of the meeting.

Ellijah flashed Julian a smile as he was given a shout out, but served nothing more on the matter. His father's voice had caught him by surprise for he had never seen the older man at meetings before, and there were sometimes he could not blame his father for that. Medical apprentice? That was not exactly up his ally, but was rather curious as to who would make a good candidate. With the call for the dismissal, Ellijah rose to his paws and trotted away, his head down a bit more than usual.

  • This whole clan life was extremely new to the chaotic child, truthfully it was still rather intimidating and nothing more than a giant question mark he was determined to understand. Yet he was young and like most children, would learn with with a bit more time. Bounding after the others as they all funneled to the designated meeting area, the kitten would plop down toward the back of the group with jittery excitement. What was going on, was this a party? Paws heavily coated with mud (something that was becoming quite normal for him), he'd bounce in place in a desperate attempt to see above his much taller clanmates. He wanted to be part of the action too!

It was only after the meeting officially began that the child finally settled in his place, innocent green stare jumping from member to member as he questioned their names and friendliness. Would they want to play spy with him later? It was only when his name was mentioned that his green optics would jerk back up to Julian. The feathered feline was very kind and while he still failed to process very little of what was going on, he was confident his name being mentioned was a positive. "Thank you!" He'd chirp, the soft mew quiet as it parted his ebony lips. Spark? That sounded really cool!

don't you know that all things hang as if by a string?

    I'm eleven minutes away

Another week another meeting! How long has it been since Artemis has crossed the Thunderlands' border? Three weeks now? Just about. Gosh, time really flies here and she was loving every second of it. So the lioness was quick to approach for the meeting and take a seat with her head held high from pure confidence. It's nice to see that she finally had it coming back and was no longer as shy as she once was. She's thankful for no demotions since she was a bit slow herself this week, but she wasn't expecting to be offered a promotion. So Julian was actually proud of her for speaking up?

It seems like good things do come out of her anxiety! But what exactly is it she wanted to do? She had been trained to fight since a young age due to the traditions of her kingdom, but was fighting something she really wanted to do? Seeing that he might not need an immediate answer she chooses to wait until the end of the meeting.

Mental notes are made about events she should attend, which reminds her she needs to organize her own ally event soon. But then Deutschland mentions how he is looking for a medical apprentice and her ears twitch at his words. A medical apprentice? She knew nothing about medicine, though the thought of sitting down and studying it was actually interesting to the female. Well, Julian was expecting her to make a decision. Just.. maybe not the one he intended on. "Actually, Julian... if Deutschland is willing to be patient with me, I wouldn't mind stepping up as his apprentice instead...." Though if her abilities were of use somewhere else in the clan then that was okay too. "Though if not, then I would like to step up as a Squalltamer."

and I have missed you all day

  • Ladon was there in the shadows listening to the meeting Julian was holding. He was not really paying to much of attention though seeming to be spacing out like he was thinking about something else. Not even his shout out seemed to be acknowledged by him or the fact they searched for a new medicin apprentice. Ladon just didn't seemed to be there.

  • What with the meager picking of potential apprentices from within Thunderlands own borders, Deutschland was almost tempted to recruit loners or rogues for the position. He was pleasantly surprised to hear Artemis' counteroffer to Julian's promotion, and he found that it would be a well-made choice. Previously, he had thought the other kid would be an apprentice. What had been his name? He had forgotten the name of the young cat that came from the Exiles. He at least knew Artemis and had interacted with her privately before. He liked her personality and thought she would be a perfect student.

"I would love to have Artemis join the team." The grizzled German shepherd spoke up happily, unable to hide the wag of his tail from behind him.
