  • the exiles. rotten, infested little group not so little anymore, a weed that grows back every year when finally thought to be dead and gone. they're vermin, they are, creatures who reap and reap and reap for just the hell of it, a sadistic group who always, always works to benefit themselves, not others. ( at least, at least this is what she tells herself now, strengthening will to see fit her own home, these little meadows, stay safe and sound; she forgets barghest's act of twisted kindness in the face of storm king's words. chicagocrimes has a war to look toward, she cannot let the past sift through her thoughts like muddied water slapping against sand banks. )

"alright everyone, get up, up, up off yer asses. we've got some work ta do." rallying call is what flies past mouth, sparks loosened by tongue tip. what happened to fallengrace is the most tender of tragedies, another piece of history terrible and war cruel forever burnt ashen and ivory white into the eyelids that flutter. like this children, their death will not be one lost in vain, not one so easily forgotten. the sanctuary will make sure of that, for it can be as dangerous as it is beautiful, a fact forged by the torrents of it's history she stood apart of and held role within so strongly.

the dead girl stands in the midst of camp, the crick of hallowed wood rushing past ears, meadow grasses winding self up and over ember flecked paws, her words drawing along with the berry swept breezes as the sun lifts, rises into a cherry burst dawn. "since we're gonna be workin' our way into th' exiles' hearts again an' whatnot, we're gonna no doubt have 'em stormin' into our lands. we'll need ta recheck and reset our traps, our defenses an' shit some other day but today? today we're gonna learn how ta handle ourselves on our own, without traps an' without our allies." chicagocrimes announces, the words fleshed forth upon tongue curved ash and brimstone, her gaze glancing about at those who linger, who move forward blinking sleep free of eyes and the stiffness out of legs.
