  • Abbi for once found himself already on top of the large stone, a small note of royalty lingering in his pale yellow gaze. It was every few meetings where he would get this feeling - the feeling of overwhelming dread mixed with excitement. The first time was when he brought Mercy on board with him, fearful of their reign but happy he could experience it with her. This time, he was scared of leaking out his own secrets, along with the many less than tasteful events he would have to announce. And yet, he still found the bubbling positivity in his gut, likely passed down through the Aeternum line, of the fact that he was simply there. He was doing his best despite the downfalls and now his mother, among many others, would be able to witness it.

"Shadow Veil," he called, his face falling back into its anxious, childish ways. A small smile rested upon it and his eyes were narrowed, ever so slightly, but somehow more positively than usual, "It's time for our weekly meeting. Please, gather around," he beckoned them each and gave ample time for them to reach the growing crowd and settle in, "We can start with a hearty welcome to ~ADARA~ , ezra , and SOARE ! Also a welcome back to kathena . You can each further introduce yourselves if you wish," he gave his usual pause, his tails twitching and likely landing on Mercy's, just for some form of comfort, "If any of you have questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise, we do have a buddy system wherein you're each able to sign up and receive someone to better help you around. In fact, we do have a few new buddies - Ver Million , since you handle children well, I would like you to pair up with Rhea Calaway . And STRATOCUMULUS. can be paired up with ~ADARA~ . This week's little buddy-task is to play a friendly prank on an ally."

He paused to let the buddy information sink in before continuing, "Unfortunately, evantaresque m. will be receiving a demotion. Mercy and I both understand that you have some things going on, and we wish to make it easier for you to move through them," he rolled his shoulders back, "We will be also handing out final warnings to veter. , ROANCLAW , and Tanaquil . ismene and monique. , you both also receive warnings. Each of you need to pick it up a bit," It was unfortunate, all of the warnings. He hoped that by next week, everything would be able to turn around, "In more positive news, we would like Charlotte A. and ~ADARA~ to step up as duskguards, and Annalysia Sparrow to step up as a darkseeker. STRATOCUMULUS. gets the biggest shout out we can muster - keep it up!" ever his sister's cheerleader, despite their minor falling out.

"Oh - wait," and this is why some wrote down their meeting notes and didn't try to stubbornly remember them all, "Unfortunately, early last week, Sear decided to take his leave. This leaves both midnightbringer positions open," he breathed out. He didn't wish to forget about Sear, he just wished to forget about the growing emptiness in their positions, "We've spoken about it and decided that Ver Million will be taking on inter-Clan duties, and STRATOCUMULUS. will be taking on outer-Clan duties, at least until we have enough activity to suffice having those positions. Until then, midnightbringers are on hold," he glanced over towards Mercy, perhaps to not watch the crowd's expressions at the near demolishing of one of their crucial rankings.

"Alright, back on track - we have many ally events, including Technicolor's birthday over in Painted Brigade, as well as a celebration party held by Volary Flights. There will be a mass adoption sign ups in our OOC board soon, so keep an eye out for that! As well, Strat is already holding an ambassador meeting, feel free to sit in and listen even if you aren't an ambassador. There is a daycare au as well as gift basket making if anyone is interested. A new group called the Iron Hull vandalized our home the other day. While it is not open field on them, do not tolerate them inside our border. They do not seem to pose much of a threat but they also don't deserve much kindness, either," he paused, feeling as if he was going on an unneeded tangent, "We are also participating in the tri-raid on the Cartel, as one of their own has tortured a child of Ver's. And soon after this meeting, a raid will be sent out to retrieve Bloodwarden, please keep your eyes open for that. In other news, we need someone to hold weekly tasks, please," he sat back on his haunches, feeling almost complete with himself, before a glint of metal shimmered in the rare light that passed through the trees. Right.

"As many of you know, many Veilers go through a process unique to Shadow Veil - an ascension quest. Thus far, most, if not all, Veilers who receive them come back successful. However, not yet have we had a Veiler ask, retrieve, and succeed in a second ascension quest. Charlotte," he wrinkled his nose lightly at the call of his mother's name, reaching behind him to grab the silver ring. He departed from Mercy's side with a single hop, sitting below it and beckoned the canine forward, "You're the first. Unsurprisingly as you've always been the determined type," he paused, if only not to roast his mother in front of the crowd. He held out his paw to hold hers, slipping the silver band up her arm and settling it beside her bronze one. The ring itself was wider than her former one, holding intricate detailing of a nine-tailed fox, littered with tiny snowflakes. He reached up to touch his nose to Charlotte's in an affectionate, yet silent, congratulations, before turning back to the rest of the Clan, "We will be sending out any requested ascension quests within the day, and if you would like one, feel free to speak to either myself or Mercy after the meeting. Unless Mercy has anything to add, everyone is dismissed."

  • Ver hadn't attended the previous few meetings, she'd been wrapped up in other things which made her presence now all the more odd as she came from where she lay. Limping over to take a seat in the front wings uncomfortably resting on the linen that was wrapped around her upper torso. Her head was raised towards Abbi and she'd digest the information he gave, most of it was the same old to her from the joiners to the buddy system announcements. Her head would turn to search for Rhea and if she could catch the girls eyes in the crowd she would try to gesture for her to come sit beside her. Having a new buddy or psuedo-apprentice to lug around would bring her some joy and she hoped to get to know the kid better.

Things would move on and she'd nod her congratulations to everyone promoted. Hearing that the Midnightbringer position was abolished was suprising to her but in her mind made sense, the rank had been fluctuating with members ever since she left it and accepted her role as Charlies' back than Nighstar's Shaderunner. Taking up her old duties wasn't a problem and she was relieved to hear she wouldn't have to handle outerclan affairs here. Something she was grateful for, she didn't have it with her to spearhead another war when she was already fighting a war on two fronts in Solaris. ”Got it Ab's” she woofs up to her former apprentice with a respectful dip of her head.

Most of the other announcements were the usual save for the one about her won daughter and the raid which only put a damper on her mood shown in the stiffening of her body and her gentle smile curling downwards. It would be fixed soon enough as her girlfriend was brought up, she would stand on her paws to wait as Abbi slid the band over her paw before as soon as the meeting was dismissed come for her wherever she now stood to attempt to lay a gentle lick on the side of her cheek ”Looking good” she woofs in little more than a whisper.

  • Well, she couldn't really get mad about the warning. Monique had been incredibly distant from the clan for quite some time. Before her injury it had been a lack of being used to being active in a group at all. For the better part of her life she had been loner, the idea that she had to participate within a clan and even have a special ranking with foreign, strange. Then, of course, she was injured due to her own stupidity, leaving her too ashamed to deal with the others. It was sad to admit, but this was even her first meeting despite three having passed since her joining. The only reason she knew about her ranking was by being told later on.

"I apologize," Monique spoke up, waving her hand in the air. "I'd also like to take the ascension test - uh, quest." Glancing around she'd begin to pinch her fingertips as a way of calming herself down. Why was she so riled up? It felt awful, hurt her stomach, and she didn't even understand why. Usually she felt pretty care free, but at that moment her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment, her tummy twisting. Maybe it was because she really did want to be... A part of the clan somehow, and yet had failed terribly to do so. She felt guilty, really. "So, yeah, I'll talk to someone about that..." At that point she was practically whispering.
