Witchwood Academy-- apps.

At Witchwood Academy, students don't actually attend classes; that is, there are no required lessons or lectures. Instead, students are given free range of the school and professors simply wander the halls and give one on one structure where is needed. Students working together to learn is encouraged.

Each student has an area of expertise that they are naturally skilled with. Some of these areas are:

elemental magic

charms and hexes

potions

nature magic

While these are the most common, it is not completely unheard of for witches to have other magical focuses.

Withes can also use other types of magic, though they aren't as naturally gifted at these.

The school is placed in an abandoned castle deep in the wilderness. The first floor contains the massive library, dining hall, and ballroom. The next few floors contain the classrooms where students can wander, and the topmost tower contains the dorm rooms where students stay.

This is the common room at the base of the dormitory tower. Here students can spend their free time together if they wish. In addition, they are each assigned an individual dorm room for themselves.

i. students may bring a pet with them, such as a cat or an owl, as long as it is fairly small and can be contained in the dorm room humanely.

ii. despite what is thought, witches do not have to be female. they can be male, or any other gender.

iii. students are first asked to join the academy at 16, and can stay as long as they'd like afterward. therefore students can be any age that's 16 or older.

iv. students are requested to stay in their dorms after dark for their own safety.

Magical Focus: potions; specifically, herbology

Personality: Prim is quite a serious, softspoken girl, very dedicated to her studies and always trying to improve her abilities. Some people see the quiet, composed girl and think she's quite stuck up. However, Prim is actually quite kind and always trying to be nice. She simply has some trouble with her own confidence, and is extremely shy and introverted. She does want to make friends, though, and is hoping to overcome her anxieties as the new year starts.

History(opt): Prim always knew she was different; She was quieter, clumsier, looked entirely different from the rest of her family. It was when she was 12 and began exhibiting magical abilities that her parents told her she was adopted. Prim didn't know she was a witch, only that she was strange and different, until she was 16 and got invited to Witchwood Academy. There she began to finally feel accepted, and slowly she's been coming out of her shell ever since.
