//yeah Mink resigned and left WindClan + Halcyon is the new full meddie. (: I know it can be hard to keep track of characters coming and going

Upon hearing the voice of his mentor ring out, Hawkpaw padded over to ensure that nothing was amiss.

"He has heat exhaustion?" He would echo; that had been all he was able to overhear and make out from the conversation. He followed the full medicine cat back to their herb-filled den, waiting for any further instruction. If it was indeed just a touch of too much sun, Patchhowl would likely recover swiftly in the shade of the medicine den. The young bengal would just hope it was nothing contagious- sickness spreading in the peak heat of green-leaf was the last thing WindClan needed.

Halcyon didn't respond to his apprentice until after he had finished checking up on Patchhowl. Though at first it seemed like a simple case of heat exhaustion, instead it was his worst fear: a tick bite. "Sadly, no. I found a tick bite on Patchhowl's neck. I think we caught it in time for him to heal quickly, but he's going to have to rest in here for awhile." Shuffling over to the herbs, Halcyon took a piece of burdock root and started chewing it, before plastering it on Patchhowl's throat. "While burdock roots are good for rat bites specifically, I also found that they help with healing tick bites." He explained quickly. "Hawkpaw, Patchhowl has a cut on his shoulder, could you take care of that please?" And with that, Halcyon stepped out of the way for his apprentice.

It had seemed in all Patchhowl's thrashing, some of the dressed wounds started to reopen as well. His chest would have to wait while Hawkpaw worked, but Halcyon got busy on redressing the warrior's leg and back.
