//Hey guys, I think I'm gonna back out of this roleplay. I didn't think I'd get so busy when I signed up. Sorry to anyone interacting with Aya or Itay!

OOC: Okay, thanks for trying ~:Wanderer:~
IC: Talon nodded to Rosalind and then addressed Ripley.
"Sure, you can come. I don't know how far it is, Hunter, do you know?"
-
OOC: Bump! Really don't want this to die! Also, please welcome our new member, Distortion~

Beretta had been around, but mostly silent. She was in a nearby tree, high up, with her sights aimed at a rabbit about 200 feet away. The gun was her own, and she took the precaution of a muffler, so she had been allowed to keep it. Not that she wouldn't have just smuggled it anyway, but that point notwithstanding, the rabbit pricked up and bolted with the ruckus of a group gathering for scavenging. Despite the inherent dangers of scavenging, she really loved to do it, so she jumped down from the tree, landing awkwardly. She was fine though, and ran over while pocketing her gun. "Hey, can I join? Also can I do an independent mission, I need to get some... supplies."
Colt was not with his sister, he was shuffling cards inside. He had worked hard yesterday and bruised his leg, so he was just chilling playing solitaire. He... hated it. He needed to do stuff, but there wasn't much for him to do!
-
OOC: Talon will respond when Hunter does.
-
ooc: sorry hunter u were TOO SLOW
ic: Rosalind was starting to step out of the room when she heard the question. "Oh, the gas station? I noticed it too. It's maybe 45 minutes, an hour away?" She remembered seeing it, while they were walking. It wasn't too far from the farm, but at that point they didn't raid it-- they had no idea how much longer they would have to go to find somewhere to settle down. "Be careful, kids," she said, before heading back into her room. She might check on Colt. He'd injured himself the other day and she wanted to make sure it was healing properly. She made her way to him. "Hey, bored, are you?"
Ripley couldn't help but feel a shiver go down their spine when they saw the gun. They didn't use one themself, since ammunition was scarce as hell-- a better bet was always a classic baseball bat, maybe a bow with arrows that could be made from sticks and feathers-- but they had used them. Guns always made them think of their father. Especially at the end. But they sucked in a breath through their nose and sucked it up. "Hi, Beretta," they said in their soft voice. "I'm sure you can come. It's easier when there are more people around."
-
Talon nodded at Rosalind's words and turned back to Beretta.
"Beretta may come, but she will not be getting a solo mission. We will be going in groups of two, preferably three. Understood?" He took a small breath and started again. "That being said, who all is coming?"
-
"oh? it seems like i made it just in time; the pigs have started gathering for slaughter."
following after her words, annie manifested from around the doors like a bad omen. she turned slowly, looking sinister due to the way the shadows and light fell against her skin, fighting for dominance atop the soft features of her face. she smiled pleasantly, though in the lighting her eyes seemed to glitter with ill intent.
"you can count me in, leader," she purred with a particular emphasis on the term of respect, tilting her head at talon. her cat-like eyes swept around the room and when the fell on a certain figure they narrowed in glee. "wouldn't want to miss out on the fun, wouldn't we ev-ie?" she slung an arm around the group's designated medic with a smirk, playfully rapping her knuckles against his chest.
she turned back to their leader. "say, talon. who's my partner for the mission? who is it, who is it?" she grinned, her eyes widening as if a particularly dark plan had rooted in her head. there was no way to tell though, as no matter where she went annie always exuded an air of someone who couldn't be trusted. "i wanna know who the little piggy is, tell me quick."
-
"Your partner will be me."
Talon stated it plainly, he wasn't leaving it open for discussion.
-
Ripley glanced over towards Beretta, then at Talon. “I can go with you, Beretta. If that’s fine.” It was dumb, but they sort of recognized themself, a few years ago, in the way she acted. Also, they weren’t excited about being the neutral party to Talon and Annie. Things were tense between them, and they didn’t deal well with tension. Also, Annie wasn’t a nice person to talk to.
ooc: sorry for lack of formatting im on mobile all weekend
-
"Okay. Ripley, if you want to go with Beretta, that will be good. Anyone else have a partner they want to be with?"
OOC: Distortion~ siloueta I fixed the post. Sorry I made the mistake in the first place.

{Yikes, thats relatable asf. I usually format too but just kinda ditched it for this roleplay. Might pick it back up later.}
At the words of Rosalind, Ev listens carefully to what she has to say about expired meds and stocks the information away; most expired medications are not dangerous, only less effective, so grab those too. Oh, and grab bandages if possible. He gives the gruff woman one of his small, admiring smiles. He doesn't give them out often, preferring to remain in his expression of professional neutrality that he so often uses when flexing his yet-growing medicinal skills, "You got it." He responds with the usual soft tone, but beneath it lays a hint of fondness. The kid turns his attention back to the others. During the conversation of who all is going and who will be paired with who, Evengaline remains silent as usual - Beretta and Ripley are going now too, and he approves of the two. A sudden voice breaks into their conversation, and although his expressions remains completely neutral, he internally grimaces at the woman walking up. Her. An arm being slung around him prompts the medic to give Annie a deadpan stare, "Good morning, Annie." He greets casually and quietly, eyes quickly darting to Talon at the mention of her partner. Please not me, please not me, please not me.
Ev exhales audibly in relief. Annie is with Talon and Beretta is with Ripley. This likely means he won't have to stick around with either of the girls. He has no real problem with Beretta, he just can't keep up with her half the time. And, despite his shot accuracy, he doesn't really know much about guns other than how to aim and make them go kaboom so that doesn't help any. Annie though. Annie nearly drives him up the damn wall sometimes. Clasping his hands behind his back, Ev tilts his head and quietly hopes he'll be able to search alone as opposed to with a partner, "Who does that leave the rest of us with?"

The woman idly twirls the gold ring around her finger. Tones of concern grace her soft features, eyes of aquamarine framed in the emotion by the brows tilted up above them. Isabella Hathaway leans by the door of their most recent home, a perfect picture of worry in the morning light. She's only just awoken to find the others already up and planning the day. Nonetheless she manages a smile at her companions gathering outside to go on what she assumes is a supply run. Knowing that a few of the younger members, namely Evengaline and Ripley, are going on the run fills her with apprehension. Ripley, trying their best to be helpful to the group even with all they have faced and seen and done. Evengaline, the poor boy, always trying his hardest to do his job despite his youth. She worries for them. Her hands go down to the swell of her body, gently pressing to the growth of a young life within her, something that Izzy does quite often in times of distress to comfort herself. Anxiety knaws at her nerves like a wild rat chewing into wires and she quells the feeling quickly. They can fend for themselves, she tells herself, and they won't be completely alone anyways. All will be fine. Isabella disappears from the door to pad back inside, taking her mind off the scavenging group by wondering if there's any food to spare for breakfast. She's always had the habit of skipping meals when food was low before her pregnancy, instead insisting that the elderly and children should eat before she did. And ever since Allen's death last winter, well, she hasn't been eating much anyways.

Interacting with Ev primarily ( Evengaline )
Beretta nodded when Ripley and Talon invited her along. Of course, there was no going by herself, which she wasn't expecting anyway. Ughh, no one trusted her. (of course the rule applied to everyone, but don't try to reason with a pissy 15-year-old.) Ripley claimed her as a partner and she went with it because she didn't feel like talking anymore, and just nodded her approval. She did not give one ding-dong who she was paired up with.
She did look in Ev's direction, and he seemed relieved about something or other, though it was strange 'cause he was looking right at her. Maybe he'd been nervous with her gun. She'd gotten that a lot and it almost made her self-conscious. Her gun was for her protection, and she had been trained with it from a very young age. She'd never turn it on a person, and most of the time she even traded it for an air-soft gun sometimes 'cause it intimidates people but can't be turned on her. Also, zombies' rotten skin and bones are softer, and an airsoft can often get through them. She wasn't now, but... whatever. She decided to answer his question for Talon. "You can come with us if you want, and I can help you not be such a ding-dong handling a gun while we're out!" Don't think she didn't notice his lack of respect for the tool. But she did not notice Ripley's nervousness in the face of her weaponry.
Interacting with Rosalind ( siloueta )
Colt looked up from his cards when the co-leader approached him. He nodded at her question, he was quite bored. He could still move, and would be fine tomorrow, but his bruise prevented him from running fast at all. Later he'd probably help cook, since that's the only non-action skill he was decent at. Anyway, the Gatling answered her with a question; "How're you, Rosalind? Everyone treating you with respect?" He honestly was just like that. He needed to make sure authorities were respected, especially when jerks might not listen to them for twisted, antiquated reasons.
//Ding-dong is my new favorite substitute swear, especially for Beretta.
-
Talon gave Beretta a glare and a small huff.
'Actually, Beretta, Ev can handle himself. We don't have very many people coming, cso there's not enough to make a team for him."
Now he gives a much softer look to Ev. "But, he will be expected to stay within eyesight of me at all times, please."
// Talon is being paired alon with Annie as an oportunity for her to do what we discussed in the Plotting thread. And Ev will probably need to help out which is why I want him within eyesight of Talon at all times. Cool with you two Evengaline and sunchips. ?

Ripley was glad that there wasn’t any fighting over their going with Beretta. They would’ve liked to be with Ev as well, just because he was a calming influence and Ripley appreciated that, but that wasn’t happening, apparently. They felt impatient to go. Despite the days of recovery, they were still sore, and they wanted to start walking before it got overwhelming. They shifted their weight to their regular foot. They knew they walked oddly no matter what, since the prosthetic was one fashioned post-apocalyptically, but at least it didn’t hurt if they got on with it. “Should we start walking now?”
Rosalind chuckled at Colt’s question. “Don’t worry about me, kid, I can take care of myself.” She sat down on a chair, watching his game for a moment before speaking. “If you’re not hurting too much, you can come help me with something. I’m gonna take stock of the issues with the house and the farm, figure out what sort of supplies we’re gonna need for repairs.” She figured that she would have to do that anyway, and she might as well have Colt with her. She pulled out a small notebook from her pocket along with a pencil— most people didn’t find them very useful lately, so they were still pretty common. “What do you think?”
-
Talon nods to Ripley. "Yes. Let's go."
Then he goes over to the barn to grab hiw bow and arrow. "Everyone's got a weapon on them, right?"
Then to the people still in the barn . "Probably don't need to say this, but Rosalind's in charge."

★- MARJANI
Marjani was always up at what Zara liked to call “ungodly o’ clock” in the morning to make sure she was on her toes for any patrols later that day. She had heard Hunter’s shots go off from earlier, and she had flinched before realizing that there was nothing out of the ordinary besides… Hunter being Hunter. She had been taking practice shots all morning, but Sputnik was beginning to get ansy, whining at her feet to try to get them to go out and go somewhere. To do literally anything aside from just sit there and take potshots. She entered again, just as they were deciding the squads to go out and scavenge. “Uh, actually, I can go with Ev. If you want.” She said. Sputnik poked her leg with his nose and looked up at her. “And with Sputnik.”
★- ZARA
Zara had been listening nearby, but she didn’t really see it necessary to speak up. Ev was a crackshot on his own, and he seemed perfectly capable- but she supposed that Talon didn’t want to take a risk. She wouldn’t offer herself up for a squad- though nobody said it, they all knew that at least one medic had to stay at the farm in case the other went down. Right now, her top priority was making sure Isabella was alright. Ev seemed to have taken care of Hunter, and Colt had a bruise, sure, but it wasn’t anything too pressing. Zara strolled up next to Isabella. “You feelin’ alright?” She asked.
-
Talon turned to look at Marjani with a small laugh.
"Okay, Sputnick and Marjani can go with Ev. But only if Ev is okay with it." With that, Talon gives Ev a small look as if to ask. "Are you okay with it?"
Then he steps to the edge of the trees and sends out a series of calls. "Ghost, get over here!" A large, white fox comes trotting over and rubs against Talon. Talon lovingly pets the fox and the fox climbs right up to sit in Talon's neck and back, curling his tail around to brush Talon's face.
//Ghost is the pet I was talking about giving Talon. You can make your character know that Talon had Ghost, or not. The idea is that Ghost has been with Talon since before the apocalypse started.
-
{Oh man I wish I had a pet fox--}
Ev's gaze snaps to Beretta instantly, too swift of a motion to appear casual. Although his expressions reveals nothing as usual, for a split second the boy tastes lavender fright on his tongue at the hunter inviting him along. While he has no qualms about the possibility of going with Ripley, largely preferring to have their company as opposed to some of the other choices around, the point of not being able to keep up with the Gatling girl still stands. Quite frankly, she scares him just a tiny bit. Not that he'll ever openly admit it or show it at all. Although it might prove worthwhile, he could definitely learn a lot about firearms from her. At Talon's denial and requesting him to stay in sight of the leader, he allows himself to breathe a shallow sigh. Another girl strides up before he can respond.
Evengaline tips his head forward slightly, an agreeable motion and his ever calm green gaze goes from Talon to Marjani. Like Ripley, Marjani's company is something he can appreciate. Also, she has a dog - that's like a huge plus in his books. He has no complaints with the two, err three, of them being partners for this run, "Sure thing," He tells the girl evenly with undertones of kindness, shooting Talon a knowing glance as the boy shoulders his rifle at the question of weaponry. He knows all too well how the man worries for his friends, just how Ev worries for his, "We'll stay within your eyesight. You don't need to worry about us." He murmurs.
