  • Vermilion was a she-cat of many words but was startlingly silent as she strode through the woods to a place she'd never been. The feeling of concrete was all she knew, the sharp scratching of it against her calloused paws was to familiar this soft sensation of licking grass and moist undergrowth was new and unfamiliar to the bloodclanner who'd never even wandered past the lines of kittypet fences where she met her many mates. The forest, the large daunting shadow of trees upon her back and the wild overgrown grass was far different to the plush yellowing two-leg lawns she'd grown used to lounging on. It'd been a comfort of hers to always have structures nearby, but here there was nothing but wilderness.

Finally she and her clanmates would enter the clearing where four large trees stood tall almost touching the cloudless night sky above. The shimmer of moonlight finally casting against her as she moved into it slinking into the crowd. She looked for someone anyone she recognized, enemy friend or much more she had no real preference at the moment. She simply just wanted to get rid of the nervous energy flowing through her veins. Her pure ebony pelt would prickle as she casted her amber gaze across the crowds of cats, looking for the right one to start with.

// So basically this is a pure warrior cats au! Or just Trad!

  • MY HEARTS A STEREO —— 💫

the brown apprentice likes gatherings. he may of almost been a warrior within the moon, but he definitely loved it. he had been coming along with his mentor since he could remember. as the gentle paws moved across the clearing, bearpaw sat down, beginning to clean his pelt, looking around for someone to talk to. oh, vermillion. surely he had seen her somewhere before. his ears twitched and the scarred up apprentice moved over to the she cat, nodding his head to her. "anxious, are we?" the thunderclanner would ask, licking his chest fur before his heterochromic eyes gleamed up at her with a small smile.

it's beats for you so listen close

  • Willowstar approached the meeting on his long thin legs, only ever so slightly ahead of his chosen members. The leader of WindClan had passed just that week, and that night he was expected to travel and receive his nine lives. Many of his own Clanmates bickered about if he would get them normally, given his extended bloodline and knack for running away in trying times. He was only able to silence them with the suggestion of gaining the blessing of the other Clans, but as he came close, he wasn't too sure if he would gain that.

Willowstar avoided immediate conversation, coming close to the stones that he had seen his previous leader stand on so many times before. He would be up there in a few minutes time. The WindClanner shivered slightly as he sat himself down, yellow eyes tracing over the forms of the BloodClanner and the apprentice who decided to pester her.

  • Dainty paws carried the molly through the undergrowth, vegetation so much thicker than she preferred; ShadowClan’s marshland was far sparser than the woods surrounding Fourtrees. Although she’d eventually come to feel at home in ThunderClan’s dense forest during her time there, Daisycloud would always prefer the relative openness of her birth clan. It had been several moons since she’d returned home; the mad leader who had driven her out of ShadowClan in the first place had finally perished, leaving her safe to return home and assume her position as a medicine cat. She was grateful to ThunderClan for giving her a place to stay in the meantime, but serving there as a warrior had never felt quite right, lack of training aside. She’d always found herself gazing wistfully across the Thunderpath, wishing StarClan would take pity on her. And ultimately, her ancestors heard her prayers.

Frankly, she would’ve preferred to be in the camp right now, tidying her den or continuing to catch up with her clanmates; she’d never been especially interested in the affairs of the other clans. Though she was looking forward to seeing the other medicine cats, and maybe it was fun to listen to some gossip every now and again...

The sight of Willowstar jerked her back to reality. That was something she was interested in. Ears pricked, the thick-furred molly approached him with a gentle smile. “Willowstar,” she greeted him with a dip of her head. “How’re you adjusting to leadership?” Maybe his ascension hadn’t been formally announced as of yet, but Daisycloud had heard it from WindClan’s medicine cat upon bumping into them at the Thunderpath marking the border.

  • Stormsurge was unsure herself of her brother's rise to leadership in WindClan, but she was by his side the entire time nonetheless. She remained realistic about his future plans and what might become of him as leader, but she was also his number one cheerleader and his bodyguard to boot. Maybe it was because she had her eyes on deputyship, or maybe it was just pure familial protectiveness, when so many of their littermates had perished young, but whatever the reason for it, Stormsurge vowed to be loyal to her last breath. Even if it would kill her. And StarClan knows it had almost killed her.

She made the walk to the Fourtrees in silence, a comfortable silence, really. She enjoyed all the sounds of the night, knowing that there was nothing that could bring any harm to her. There was little that could get away with such trouble on the moors besides foxes, and there had been no signs of the dastardly ruddy beasts around in quite some time, definitely not since she had become a warrior. Maybe it was getting to her head. When they reached the Gathering place and Willowstar was whisked into a conversation with the always kind Daisycloud, Stormsurge allowed herself to separate from her brother's side and mingle with some of the other felines in attendance. She found the vaguely familiar brown ThunderClan apprentice and the sleek black former rogue-- the talk of the forest since her arrival. "It's an acquired taste, the Clan life," she said, and there was almost a haughtiness to her voice. "But I'm sure someone as tough as you will get used to it soon enough. Vermillion, right?" Her head cocked to the side inquisitively. "I'm Stormsurge."

Sparrowflight arrived, though the riverclanners were slightly late it seems the newly appointed deputy was here instead of there leader. Perhaps the Riverclanners leader was sick or too lazy to show their face here. The marbled She-cat stayed silent and dare not speak to anyone in greetings unless spoken to first-her tail twitched slightly as she scanned the clearing calmly eyes narrowing at the sight of Bloodclan, though she didn't mind them she didn't think of them as...truly part of the forest-she accepted that they were here though and didn't dare question why they had decided to come. Her grey eyes shifted to Willowstar and she dipped her head towards him, it was sad to know that the old Windclan leader has passed but she had to admit she was grateful to know that they had decided to pick the perfect deputy, who she knows will lead Windclan with ease. She stayed silent knowing her strange accent will offset anyone-her clan was use to it but not other clanners but if anyone decided to greet the riverclan deputy she will take no mind in speaking to them.

  • The shortfurred leader found himself in fourtrees once again. Darkclan life had been treating him well, and Sagestar had assimilated even better into the leader life. It exhilarated him to lead his warriors and apprentices into the gathering, a bit more self assured since this would be his second. Falling into a spot by the Riverclan deputy, Sagestar said “Sparrowflight, is it?” He could smell the fish on her pelt so he didn’t even have to ask what clan. That’s why he hadn’t joined Riverclan. The child leader then said “How’s Riverclan doing?”

Soon Darkclan had arrive and it seems like they've been fairing well from how they look. It was greenleaf so it was unerstandable. It was easy to spot Sagestar and she smiled dipping her head in greetings towards him. "Aye, it is indeed Sparrowflight" she said calmly before looking them with a smile on her maw. He seemed to finally ease himself into being the leader and last time she was here she was only a warrior, but now she came as the deputy-though sadly their last one had...disappeared and their leader (currently) didnt seem to be fairing well. "Riverclan is doing well. I'll be leading the gathering tonight-our leader couldnt make it" the marbled she-cat stated smiling slightly at them before scanning the clearing for Thunderclan, Skyclan and Shadowclan's leader to hopefully begin the gathering. No matter she was fine with a little chatter with Sagestar and she looked at him. "May I ask how ye and Darkclan be fairin?" she asked while her gaze scanned the clearing before spotting Stormsurge-a friend of hers from since she was an apprentice. She was glad to see they were here and smiled softly towards them before forcusing her attention onto Sagestar to hear his answer.

  • In all honesty she was surprised a clan such as hers would ever be invited to the cute little festivities of other clan cats but Vermilion's questions were hardly ever appreciated by her clanmates. She was told in the beginning that running her mouth would get her killed, meaning that she'd been kicked out of many formal areas of Bloodclan life (she was shocked there were any) until she'd been suddenly strung into becoming their deputy. Which only seemed to irritate her lesser clanmates more both for the fact that this nobody was to be the next leader and two because they couldn't spit any word about it in her or the leaders face unless they wanted to be crowfood.

Her pelt would prickle as Bearpaw would approach and she'd twitch an ear before turning to him corners of her muzzle pulling up ”Nah just not used to the forest. Don't get how you all put up with this... mess?” was it a mess? No, the city was a mess this here was the opposite it just wasn't the world she grew up in. Her tail would flick and before she could go on to Bearpaw another figure emerged. A younger she-cat, not her type of course. She would yawn as she spoke worn red collar sliding further down her neck as she did. She was relaxed and it was evident she wasn't taking any of the cats near her too seriously. ”I hope, shame you can't succeed solely by being "tough" or i'd already be leader” it wasn't that far off the bill, she was one step down from leader after all. She had one last thing to say though ”Your names are absolutely crazy by the way? I hope you all know that” she'd meow with a laugh.

  • His mind had been walking on its own when a slightly familiar face approached him. The former ShadowClanner tilted his gaze towards Daisycloud, surprise evident in his gaze as he hadn't expected anyone to speak with him, especially with the knowledge she knew. He figured his medicine cats were just gossipers and didn't aim to get upset. After all, the whole forest and then some would learn of the leadership change soon. He rolled his shoulders back and properly greeted the medicine cat with a dip of his head, turning to face the clearing and look over the bustling groups.

"It's only been a few days," he murmured, hoping that his whisperings would hint that he didn't wish for everyone to know just yet, "I can only be grateful that the Clans are at peace during the change," he then added. BloodClan would always be vengeful and angry, and ShadowClan had their fair share of crazed leaders, but at the moment it was calm, "How about you, Daisycloud? Is ShadowClan treating you well?"

  • Her ears pricked at his hushed tone, and understanding quickly colored her expression. "Mm, so am I." All four clans had been through a lot in recent moons, ShadowClan especially. But she was glad to see that Willowstar was faring well enough; she'd been worried when he fled his birth clan, afraid that he'd have a difficult time adjusting to a group of cats as prickly as WindClan. But obviously he'd made a good life for himself if he'd managed to climb so high as clan leader.

Her pale blue gaze drifted sideways as a voice reached her, one she recognized only from past gatherings. It was a BloodClan molly whose name she didn't know. Daisycloud barely managed to conceal her distaste when she caught Vermillion's comment regarding warrior names. "Though to be honest," she said quietly to Willowstar, but perhaps just loud enough for Vermillion to catch it if she were paying attention, "I'm worried it might not last long if BloodClan has anything to say about it." She would never understand why that lawless group of rogues was allowed to attend gatherings. Maybe it wasn't her place to be voicing her criticism, given that medicine cats were supposed to be above clan rivalries, but BloodClan didn't even believe in StarClan or the warrior code — could they really be considered a real clan? "I wouldn't put it past them to break the truce at some point."

"I'm doing fine," Daisycloud mewed in response to his question, but her weariness was evident. "ShadowClan's doing much better now. I'm just happy to be back. Things've really improved since... you know."
