Personality:

Weasel sums it up pretty well. Originally Michael was an fairly friendly, outgoing, and generally happy-go-lucky kid, however after being homeless for a few years, that personality shifted toward a more reticent, withdrawn state. In a large group of people, Mike tends to stick to the walls, observing everyone else and making sure nobody's able to sneak up behind him. He's quite jumpy, preferring to know his surroundings and the people within it well, a product of having to evade officers often when he was on the streets. He's not necessarily shy, the opposite in fact, you'd just have to break through the shell to reveal that side of him. Sure he's a little shifty, tends to try nagging a few things every so often too, but if you can manage to wriggle yourself into his social bubble, you'd find a regular teen. Michael definitely enjoys being around people, loves making friends too, only issue is he doesn't trust very easily, and it's definitely not easy to trust him. Though it’s not like he wants to steal, he absolutely hates it, the guilt of constantly pushing people away because he can’t keep his hands to himself eats him up inside. Any kind of contact is a no-go as well, or at least he'd act like he doesn't like it, sure if he were hugged he'd struggle against it, but underneath the layers of emotional walls Mikey secretly doesn't want to let go. Michael is a total pacifist, him and confrontation don't mix well at all, again due to past experiences, as a result of always choosing flight in a fight-or flight situation, his combat skills have much to be desired. He's just a little bitter is all, has good reason to be too, after being practically cursed by your father and kicked out of the house by your mother, who wouldn't be, suppose all he needs is someone to trust.

Fun Facts:

-A fairly severe kleptomaniac which he's working to overcome, basically a strong, usually irresistible urge to steal things, most if not all of which don't benefit the person, or something often something they could have easily attained or bought themselves.

-Bit of a Softy(tm), please be gentle!

-Sort of a hoarder with the things he nabs, which to him is practically a physically manifested pile of guilt oof.

Personality:

Cole would like to consider himself the camp counselor type, tends to look out for those around him making sure anybody who seems off is doing alright and feeling included. He's observant, headstrong, a little stubborn at times but enjoys taking on a leader role. However, the incredibly blunt, takes-no-crap-from-nobody attitude he just can't shake spoils the nice guy attitude a bit. If he's comfortable with someone and notices them acting fake or doing something they shouldn't, Cole won't hesitate to call them out for it, even if they're around other people. He's not an asshole by any means, just wants his friends to be themselves, taking initiative in a big brother sort of way. In the face of social adversity he's incredibly argumentative, no matter how much you try to convince him, this boy's stubbornness won't budge an inch. Cole's personality clashes heavily with the jock-type, those with similar personalities, or any "leader" that he deems isn't able to fulfill the role, although not often getting violent, he won't back away if an argument turns south. Apart from the issues, Cole will be the first to defend the underdog, anybody trying to get to the people he wants to protect will have to go through him first. If you're adverse to any sort of physical stuff, steer clear as you might just be scooped up in a rather...breathtaking..hug.
