  • Crisp, cool air stung the nose of a huddled figure. Despite the fact that it was only October the air was unusually cold and it irritated the woman. She walked inside a two story house in a less then pleasant part of town. It was older and needed work on the outside but the inside was secure and modern.

Once inside the woman went to the large office that was upstairs. A master bedroom with a master bath was connected to the room via a door off to the left. The office was hers and hers alone. Anyone who wanted to enter had to knock three times.

Taking off the jacket and hat she put them on a coatrack standing beside the door. Her long black hair was braided behind her and she went across the office to sit in the large black chair behind an older wooden desk that had a computer on the right hand side, a phone on the left as well as a tablet.

She logged into the computer and looked through her secured email for information from her advisors. Her blue eyes saw nothing new to report except for the recruits that were supposed to show up here in one hour. Everyone else should be in the house in 30 minutes. She check the tablet to look through the information that was gathered by some of the intelligence gatherers in the group. There was information for the recruits with a couple having quite a few blanks. She hated blanks, the likelihood of it being a spy was way to risky.

She wondered when exactly her advisors would show up so she could meet with them before they interviewed the new recruits.

  • hope this is okay! Ill probably add about 3(?) more characters tomorrow and get this thing rolling by tonight! Drixel is the spy that meets up with your character, I’ll be more specific when I get started o3o

  • —Checking his watch, a light sigh escaped his lips as he glanced up at the modern looking house. Liam then pressed his lips together tightly after realizing he was about twenty minutes early on meeting up with Rose; being on of her advisors, he highly respected the woman and her decisions. The male waited a few more minutes before eventually entering the house and stopping when it came to being at her office. Liam knocked three times and waited patiently, glancing down at his watch every few moments. Over the years, his hatred for supernatural beings came to a high. Also other humans who supported them, the thought of it made him entirely sick to him stomach. He raked a hand through his brown hair. Liam’s facial expression always usually looking serious. The brunette always carries a pistol which was attached to his belt, hidden under his t-shirt. Liam wore dark jeans with a dark colored shirt, as well as a light jacket to replace the fat that lacked on his body.

The wind swiftly and smoothly went between the Twin’s hair as they ran out of the woods, their golden eyes fixed on ahead of them. Farren knew her brother had planned on meeting up with a human in about an hour, and she wanted to be there in case anything happened, or close by at least. Drixel came to an abrupt stop once the smell of human blood filled his nostrils, also causing his sister to stop as well. The two looked at each other, though over the years they were able to control their thirst for human blood, rather than feeding on them, they hunted Animals which changed the colors of their eyes to the natural red, to golden.

“These will irritate your eyes.” Farren softly spoke to her brother as she moved to gently place contacts into her brother’s eyes to disguise their natural golden color, wanting to get rid of any suspicion. Drixel blinked several times, gritting his teeth a bit as the contacts did seem to bother him a bit. Instead of gold, his eyes were now a dark brown, hoping now that the humans didn’t think his pale skin was of anything. “There. You look.. Alive I suppose.” Farren huffed before taking a few steps away from her brother. Drixel only gave his sister a light grin before his gaze flickered over to the smell of humans, of course, staying out of sight.

  • Hearing three knocks brought Rose’s head up. Wondering which of her advisors it was she called out, “Enter.”

She eyed the door warily but made herself look busy on the computer checking through a couple emails that came through. She shook her head and wondered what exactly she would find out while interviewing the recruits.

She was wearing black leggings to keep her legs warm since she was wearing a dark maroon dress that was knee length and had shoulder straps. It was a flattering dress and she had been forced to wear it for a get together with the couple who adopted her. She didn’t understand why they were so big into parties with others, especially since they always insisted she wear some shade of red for them and there were often supernatural beings there just so they couldn’t appear biased.

She wanted to take it off but didn’t have a proper wardrobe here to change into. That and anyone could show up at anytime so it was better to be alert in it irritating clothing then in a bad situation while not fully dressed.

  • —Liam entered the room when he heard Rose speak, closing the door softly behind him. He then cupped his hands behind his back, his gaze moving to the woman before he approached her. “Anything interesting about the recruits?” Liam asked as he moved to sit in a nearby chair, raising an eyebrow. The male didn’t bother to find out information about the recruits, knowing if they would put their life on the line to kill supernatural creatures, there wasn’t use for him to get to know them. The brunette slightly leaned back in his chair, giving a small click on his tongue. “Nothing about any suspicion of spies?” He’d hope, although knew it probably wasn’t true.

  • Rose turned to the man and raised an eyebrow at his remark. “You know if you bothered to look at the files you wouldn’t have to ask that question. Luckily for you I have already made notes about each of them. I am sure you will find the information helpful, or not as the case may be.”

She pushed the tablet towards him in hopes that he would pick it up and see her notes for each of the files. The files themselves were there but whether or not he look at things himself was up in the air.

She looked up as another set of three knocks sounded. “Enter.”

A woman walked into the room with her head held high and with pride. She shut the door before walking forward, her thin black heels making lots of noise despite their thinness. She sat in the chair beside Liam and smiled flirtingly.

Her hazel eyes sparkled with mischief and her red hair was down around her shoulders. Her blouse was a simple and neat blue while her black slacks were a simple and did nothing to hide her figure. She often dressed flirty but she knew when to be serious.

She tilted her glasses down as she eyed Liam, “Well aren’t you in such a nice mood. You look like you could use some love in your life. If you would ever call I can help you dearest.”

  • —Liam raised an eyebrow as her first response, a light grin appearing on his features. “Sorry but, I forgot to bring my glasses.” The man spoke in a more teasing manner. His gaze flickered to her as she pushed the tablet towards him. Liam took the tablet and began scrolling through the notes and files, squinting his eyes a bit as he began reading, none of to which caught his eye right away. Although it would be good to see new faces around so he could pick around with them. His head perked up after hearing another set of knocks, noticing it was Sarah. He watched as she sat down next to him, giving a smile in return before it quickly faded. The brunette raised a brow as she began to speak, quickly bringing a hand up to his mouth to stop a laugh rising within his throat, “Of course.”. Of course, the young man was far from being Asexual, but he didn’t really share his interests in anyone quite frankly, always being caught up in his work. Although he didn’t fail to notice her figure, which more so caught his eye.

  • Rose rolled her eyes and shook her head while Sarah put her hands over her heart, “Oh Liam! You are such a charmer!”

The red haired woman winked at Liam making Rose shake her head some more. “You know if you could control yourself long enough to seduce all the supernatural beings then we could easily get rid of them right?”

Sarah frowned, “I can barely bring myself to to not scream at them already, much less attempt to flirt. Besides one of these days Liam here will be a true gentleman to me and take me home and ensure I am safe in my bed. He could stay with me, I don’t mind at all.”

Rose shook her head and put her hand on her forehead and muttered, “I’m sure that’s not the end to your fantasy but I really don’t want to know the details.”

  • —“Oh, alright then.” Liam spoke with a raised eyebrow. He eventually hoped one day that he would get married and all that, but from being so caught up in work, it didn’t seem likely at all, for right now. The male then fell silent as he listened to the two women, moving to had Rose the tablet back, pressing his lips together to create a thin line. Liam’s eyes slightly widened when he listened to Sarah continue speaking, causing his gaze to flicker back to her. He really wanted to tell her bullshit, but he wasn’t that rude. Though deep down, maybe he did have a sense of protection for the women, which made him mostly keep his mouth shut about it. “Anyway.” He’d start after clearing his throat. “The recruits are showing up soon. Shouldn’t we be getting ready?”

  • Sarah sighed at Liam’s words, “We should. And I am sure you noticed a couple of them are really sketchy. Now admittedly during the war lots of information was lost but usually I can find some sort of digital trail. Not everyone was digital before, let alone during, the war and while use of the internet and other things has grown since then there are many blanks.”

Rose gave a curt nod, “Agreed. We should look at those who we don’t have a complete record for first. I don’t want them here any longer then we have to have them if they are spies.”

Rose glanced at the clock on her computer screen. Reading the time she turned to her advisors. Standing she moved around the desk because she wasn’t going to make it obvious she was the boss. It was extremely risky and better avoided.

“Liam I want you to stay in here with me while Sarah goes and brings them in. If you have anything you need to ask go ahead and ask away. I have my own question but I am sure you would like yours answered first.”

Sarah grinned as she stood up. She pushed the chair off to the side so the area in front of the desk was clear and couldn’t wait to dig into these recruits.

  • —Liam remained silent as the two spoke, not wanting to interrupt their speaking. He was usually good a poking out certain spies, especially the supernatural creatures in which he’d Usually kill off. His gaze flickered to Sarah, giving a nod as his eyebrows furrowed lightly. The male leaned back in his chair, his eyes moving back at Sarah with his lips pressed together. Of course, he had many questions, but he would wait and not be so eager to ask until the last minutes . Liam popped his knuckles as if he was getting ready to fight someone, in all means, mentally fight them. “Sounds good.” He spoke to Rose, not meaning to go anywhere.

Farren patted her brother’s shoulder, giving a light nod before she looked to Athis who had a large frown on his features. He stood beside of Farren, being the ones there to make sure nothing happened to Drixel. “We’ll stay out here.” He spoke, giving a nod in reassurance. Drixel didn’t really give much of a response as he then moved to stand outside the house while his sister and friend stood off into the distance.

  • The front door opened and a man motioned for Drixel to enter the house and go towards the living room area. “Wait in there.”

The living room had two matching couches and a chair off to the side with a coffee table in the middle of the room. The TV that was mounted in the wall was on mute with subtitles on the screen. The news was on more or less for them to appear normal.

Sarah walked out of the office and went downstairs to gather the recruits. As she passed the other members of the group they moved out of her way but were extremely vigilant. Meetings like this were dangerous and risky. She walked into the living room area and waited for the last of the recruits to enter.

Rose leaned against the front of her desk and stared at the door. She wanted to get eyes on these recruits and gage their reactions to the questions and look for signs of lying and falsities. “Do you think we may finally have a spy on our midst attempting to join?”

  • —Drixel followed the man inside once he motioned for him to enter the house. Once the Vampire entered the living room, he glanced around the area, holding his breath but seeming like he was breathing to keep suspicion low. The smell of human blood made his hunger build up. Drixel then stood in the corner, relaxing his body a bit as the humans came in and out of the building. Liam had moved to stand, a light frown appearing on his features as he heard several footsteps within the building. The male walked to the window and glanced out of it, cupping his hands behind him. “Most definitely.” Liam commented before his gaze flickered back to Rose.

  • Sarah saw Drixel and smiled to him. She was going to be overly friendly and flirty because it was her way to get a glimpse at who they were. “Why hello there! You aren’t my usual type with blonde hair but I think I can make an exception for you.”

Rose nodded in agreement. She knew spies would eventually be sent to them but it wasn’t going to be easy to weed them out from the rest. She crossed her arms and walked off to the side of the desk. She was close to a bookshelf that help everything factual, and lore based, about the supernatural beings. She eyed the books and wondered which of the new recruits Sarah would bring up first.

  • —Although not looking in the direction, Drixel sensed someone approaching him, causing the Vampire to glance in the direction to see a red-headed woman approaching him, so the man played on a bright smile as he was greeted, a light chuckle escaping his lips from her sentence. “All natural. Some people even think my hair color is dyed.” He’d comment, shoving his hands into his pockets. The main rule for Drixel and his sister was to never get close to anyone. Especially humans. Over the years, Drixel had been able to control his smell for human blood, being able to control when and when he didn’t need to feed unlike many of the vampires out there.

Liam had been able to rat our spies over the few years of doing this, which he seemed to be great at it. But there were some spies that made it nowhere near possible to catch as they just seemed too human. He also wouldn’t dare to accuse a human of being a supernatural being, which he hadn’t done yet. “I’m sure we’ll catch someone soon.” He spoke, crossing his arms as his gaze settled on the ground, keeping a light frown on his features as thoughts seem to run through his mind.

  • Sarah chuckled at his response, “I like you. Well since you are the last one to show I’ll take you up first. Just follow me and you can meet with my besties!”

She laughed and walked towards the stairs while swaying her hips suggestively. She kept a close eye on him from behind her glasses as she led him to the office.

“Oh and before I forget! Be honest. That’s all we ask. If you can’t be honest the boss will be grumpy and I don’t wanna deal with the boss’s grumpiness.”

Rose waited for the sound of Sarah’s loud voice, a sign she was coming up with one of the recruits. The woman always spoke loudly to give them a warning she was coming so any classified convos would be stopped before she was able to knock.

She turned to Liam, “Do you have any suspicions that you are being tracked and monitored?”

  • —Drixel kept a bright smile, giving a light nod as he had moved to follow after the woman. “Of course.” The male spoke, making his way up the stairs. For the most part, he seemed to be relaxed, acting less aware than a supernatural being. He had trained weeks for this, it being blown now would be a huge bummer. He kept reminding himself what his sister had said, remaining calm and not acting suspicious.

Liam also heard Sarah, which knew they didn’t have much time to discuss anything before the recruits would be there. “I feel like we’re being watched.” He quickly spoke, gritting his teeth as he glanced out the windows again. Maybe he was being a bit more paranoid than unusual, or maybe it was true.

  • Rose nodded in agreement but didn’t have time for a response when Sarah knocked three times. There was a hesitation before the door opened and Sarah walked in cheery, “Good Evening! This here is one of the recruits. I’ll bring up the next one once you are done with him.”

Sarah motioned Drixel into the room while taking up half the doorway. It was a test of sorts that told them if they were dealing with a supernatural being since some of them had greater senses of smell.

Rose waited for the man to enter and had a disinterested look on her face. She put on the persona to of being a lackey who was lazy and hating dealing with people. She looked at her nails and wished she had nail polish remover to get the maroon coloring off but it was too late now for any of that.

  • —Drexil played on a large smile once the door had entered, also playing off as if everything seemed to be fine. The smell of human blood filled his nostrils, though he paid no mind of his usual thoughts as he more so paid attention to the two other humans in the room. The vampire quickly noticed the woman’s disinterest while the male approached him, moving to shake his hand in greetings. “Nice to meet you Drexil.” Liam spoke, keeping a light smile on his features before the male motioned for Drexil to sit, in which he did a few moments later.

  • Sarah gave an approving smile at the male’s politeness. She was also glad he didn’t show any signs of being a supernatural being. This was a good sign so far. She shut the door as she entered the room and sat in the chair by Drixel. “You know had I known you could be so nice I definitely would’ve taken a longer route.”

Rose shook her head as Sarah flirted with Drixel. Sarah flirted with anyone and everyone so she wasn’t in the least bit surprised. Rose looked up briefly to look at Drixel’s reaction. She frowned and narrowed her eyes.

Drixel was quite attractive and Rose hated that she was attracted to him. Attraction was a distraction from the bigger picture at hand. Besides they hadn’t truly determined if he was human.
