  • Which plot? 4

    1. Combine Both somehow? (Idk maybe happy medium) (4) 100%
    2. Pride's plot (2) 50%
    3. Aron's plot (0) 0%

Okay lets get straight to the point. I want to do another group thread but this time with dragons and humans. So basically each kind of dragon as their own kingdom and human kingdom that corresponds with that element. Example there is a earth dragon kingdom and with them is a human kingdom that as earth magic. No one as ever bonded with a dragon outside their kingdom no as a dragon bonded with a human that didn't control their element.

These kingdoms usually live in peace, because they know if they fight nothing will be left of the earth. It has been the same for hundreds and and hundreds of years then one day something changes. People are bonding with dragons outside their element.

The plot of the thread it basically an ancient prophecy as been set in motion and the humans and dragons that have bonded have to her learn to work together and figure out what the prophecy means.

This would be a smaller group thread unless a lot of people show interest in it. Right now I'm word vomiting so if it doesn't make sense I apologize.

  • wow, just as i was thinking about a Dragon RP i find this.

I have a similar kind of idea involving Humans and Dragons, but its a lot more... chaotic.

Tucked away at the edges of known territory, in continents of floating isles and mystic oceans lay the home of the Ancient Dragons: widely credited and worshiped for introducing Magic and Literacy to the Humans. Though seen as a singular group, the Dragons are hardly unified and are under the constant threat of extinction. They are a loose coalition of hundreds of clans and tribes (usually by Element), the most powerful tracing their lineage to one of the Four Primordial Dragons (the first Dragons, and widely believed to be directly created by the gods as their enforcers). Alliances are easily formed and just as easily broken, and disputes and conflicts are par for the course of their "peaceful existence". Despite their loose allegiances to each other, they share a common goal of taking the Overworld: their ancestral home, from the blight that is Humanity.

Humanity is a relatively new Race to inhabit the Overworld, only having come to existence within the last few millennia. Despite their frail bodies and short lifespan, their ingenuity and ability to spread like wildfire has made them the dominant Race of the Overworld. They live under many banners, from the mighty Juno Empire and the frozen Kingdom of Stulyra, to the vast theocracy of the Holy Realm and the maritime duchies of Nonatia. The Humans had believed the Dragons as myth... until they came from across the oceans, laying siege to the Humans to reclaim what was once theirs.

Our story involves two individuals: a young Dragon belonging to a revered faction among the clans, and a Human holding a high position in one of the Four aforementioned Nations: A High Priest(ess) in the Holy Realm, the influential Grandmaster of a prominent Magus Academy in Juno, the Heir to the Stulyran throne, or a powerful leader of Nonatia's Navy.

The two parties meet under less-than-ideal circumstances, and at first have no trust in each other. As time passes and the Humans drag the Draconic onslaught to a stalemate, they realize an opportunity, and ally with each other to form their own nation... or bring the war to a decisive victory for one side...

  • Pride. We can combine the "separated continents" idea with some clever compromises while still having something like the Dragon/Human kingdoms.

We will divide the Dragons by what Branch of Magic they predominantly use: Etheric, Runic, and Arcane.

When Magic converts Mana into a physical form like fire/ice/lightning, it is considered Etheric Magic. More often called "Elemental Magic", Etheric Magic is the most commonplace of the three Branches, and all Dragons are capable of this magic.

When raw Mana is utilized without changing its fundamental form, Runic Magic is what results. So-called due to the complex calligraphy that is used as a catalyst, Runic Magic is capable of mindbending feats such as Time Manipulation, Teleportation, and launching bolts of raw Mana as a projectile. Only the Dragons from beyond the ocean can use this magic.

Arcane Magic is exceedingly rare, and for good reason: Arcane Magic does not rely on Mana to work, but instead uses the Entity's soul and emotion to project its effects. Spells centering around mending flesh, possession, and telepathy are few and far between, and finding a Dragon who could very well perform Arcane Magic is a Fool's Errand
