  • While Kady hadn't seen the creatures herself, V had bumped into them on a run. Honestly, she hated how they ate up the area, destroying the natural beauty that resided there. It brought anger to her paws, driving her to do something about it. The sheer disrespect for nature they had... it was a disgrace really. The anger drove motivation, driving her to brainstorm.

One of those ideas was providing them with some food. If they were eating the plants, then giving them different food would stop them, would it not? So she had gotten lots and lots of salad, fruits, and vegetables, hopefully enough to tide them over for a day. It'd help at least a little bit, plus get a step at taming them like Kady had mentioned. She stood in the camp with baskets of food and cleared her throat. "Hey so I was thinking we could feed these dins some so they stop eating the landscape? If I could get some help, that would be great." the canine said in a strong bark, hoping to grab attention.

if she was expecting help, she would've not gotten it from ness. he was still a young boy, still small and innocent enough to not be given tasks that were laid out for him if he was older. so he wouldn't of been expected to do the work v had set out to do, even if he wanted to.

of course, he was mostly interested because of the food. being a carnivore didn't stop his appetite, and ness was already waddling over as if he owned the place, sniffing the salads the other has set out, before he managed to dig out a massive slice of watermelon, staining his cheeks red as he stuffed it into his mouth. he had no sense of what to take and what not to take just yet.

  • Nike watched Ness dig through the basket and dig out a watermelon, then watch it disappear from his mouth the minute he was able to grasp the slice. Nike wasn't quite as young as Ness, just a tad older, but she still found herself jealous that Ness got to take food, and she was left empty handed. So, she decided to take action upon her own paws.

She came to a halt at the basket and peered into it. She had listened to V's statement, explaining that the baskets were specifically for the dinosaurs. With the influence from Ness, Nike hurled herself into the basket with the intention of finding something appetizing--if Ness could have one, then Nike could have one too. She just needed to find the perfect fruit.

Funny how it all plays out in the end

Helping tame the dinos, or at least study their migration patterns so they can figure out if the vegetation will ever grow back, was on the top of Kady's priority list. Feeding a clan that had plenty of food to spare, however, was not. So when the mother found Nes indulging himself with watermelon she couldn't help but feel disappointed. Just a tad bit. He was still a child and did not understand, nor did Nike, so what reason was there to scold them for their actions? "Next time, be sure to ask before taking anything." The feline states gently in regards to the two hungry felines before turning her attention to V. "It's a fantastic idea and I'd love to help you. It will give me a chance to have a look at them myself. I can find more fruits and vegetables if we run low. Worse comes to worst I can ask some allies if they have some too."

    You're playing with fire

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ "What are we looking at? Can I help?" Mewled the child as she approached the group. She had no idea about the dinosaurs, nor what dinosaurs even were. She watched her brother and Nike dig into the fruit. She knew that by the sound of her mother scolding them, she should not touch the fruit. It was not hers to take, and she was afraid of making her mother mad, so she resisted the urge to grab a juicy fruit.

  • Eternite had managed to not even notice the small kids plowing into the dinosaur's food, so when Kady came over her statement came as a surprise. She turned her head, and well she'll be damned, they were stealing. Part of her couldn't blame them- they were just kids! Though they needed to be disciplined or they would think this is ok. "Kady's right. You should ask before taking other's things. These are for the dinosaurs so they stop ruining our land. You're welcome to help us feed them, maybe there'll be some leftover you can have." the canine woofed softly with a wink, trying not to have a harsh tone. Gentle correction. Then Kady spoke again and she listened, giving a nod. "Last I saw them was in the mountains, but I've been told they hang out on the main island in the forest too, so I'd like to check there before hauling all this up a mountain." V spoke, thinking aloud a little. It would be good to make sure everyone was on the same page. Then Aphrodite came over, looking like she wanted the fruit, but able to resist. That was nice, self control was a good quality. "Have you heard about the dinos around eating the trees and bushes? We've got some food gathered so we can feed them, possibly start to befriend them and figure out more how they behave. You can help if you want!" Eternite said in a happy bark. She had seen the kid around a little, and she always had a way of just being cute and melting the hearts of those around her. Or she thought so, at least.

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ The child's ears perked with curiosity. What exactly was a dino? Either way, she smiled brightly and nodded her head eagerly. "Are they nice? I'll feed them! They'll love me!" She purred happily, waving her tail. "I hope they like the color pink. Then we can really be friends." She mused as a joke.
